First of all i am trying to conact blackberry support here for Facebook issues i am experencing however when i try to submit the fourm i get this error  Please correct the following item(s):Please provide a valid Blackberry Smartphone PIN I have entered my PIN twice now "correctly" and still get the same error. this is the message i am trying to send through if anyone can give me some pointers
I recently downgraded my OS from 6 to 5 for numerous reasons that would take up this whole message, Anyways now every time i open facebook there is a delay of about 10-15 sec, also when the app finally opens it is unresponsive for about 20-30 secs. Also it freezes constantly i do not have this problem on OS 6 however i will not return to that OS! i have tried about everything deleting the app and re-installing via blackberry app world, re-installed via blackberry app world on PC also via an OTA link, i have flashed the blackberry with the newest OS 5 and the oldest version of OS 5 and a few in between with the same results. need help ASAP! I have also tried all the troubleshooting measures posted by knottyrope.

I FULLY understand the pics you've provided.
However, whether in Safari, Chrome, or Firefox, the Flash Settings Window
WON'T even allow me to "Select" anything!
For help with Flash settings, see http://tinyurl.com/3dxvkk
If the problem is not with the way you are trying to use Flash, there may be something wrong with your Mac's software. One of several troubleshooting and repair steps may help you.
(1) Use your Mac's Disk Utility to repair permissions and then test again.
(2) If the problem persists, download the latest Flash Player from the Adobe link for your OS:
  http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
If the downloaded file is later than the version shown in Safari > Help > Installed Plug-ins, install the update, repair permissions one more time, and then test video again.
(3) If your problem remains, use your  >Software Update... menu command to verify that your Apple software is up to date. If you apply any later Apple updates, repair permissions after the updates are complete, and then test whether video works now.
What are my options IF I wanted you to SEE what I'm talking about?

    When powering off my iPod touch, any application (facebook, viber etc)installed using App Store won't work again
    How to solve this issue?

    Try a hard reset first. Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
    If still no luck, try downloading and installing a new app from the App Store.  Doing so has cleared the issue up for several users.

    No, sounds like when you dropped it an cracked the screen it may have also damaged the logic board or the repair person damaged a cable.

    Whenever I open Firefox 4.0 Beta 6, and try to long onto websites like Hotmail, Facebook RuneScape etc. it won't let me... I'm finding it frusrtrating and annoying since I cannot use Firefox 4.0 Beta 6. It works on other accounts excluding mine - What is this crap rigged or something? I have to resort to crappy Google Chrome and Safari since it messed up on both of my computers... Here's what it says when I double-click the short-cut: " Could not initialize the application's security component. The most likely cause is problems with files in your application's profile directory. Please check that this directory has no read/write restrictions and your hard disk is not full or close to full. It is recommended that you exit the application and fix the problem. If you continue to use this session, you might see incorrect application behaviour when accessing security features. " Although, it says the way to help - Can you like, dumb it down for me?
    ALSO, here's what it says when I go onto http://runescape.com - It says: An error occurred during a connection to www.runescape.com:443.

  • Every website I try to go to (such as Facebook, Twitter, etc that are safe) is saying that the website is unsafe and that I must accept the certificate).

    Yesterday my Firefox seemed to spasm and I believe I had a virus (every time I hit the "home" button which is google.com for me, it would send me to this weird site that I knew wasn't safe). I uninstalled and re-installed Firefox and ran virus scanners but nothing was found. After restarting Firefox, every website that I try to go to is giving me an unsafe error and that I must give each site a security exception, even for safe sites like Facebook, Twitter, etc. Once I did get on Facebook, everything is in HTML format and I can't use it at all I tried restarting/uninstalling/resetting Firefox again but to no avail. I checked my Firewalls and nothing came up. Here is the data from the troubleshooting information.

    Hopefully you can figure something out as I love Firefox but it's very frustrating that I can't use it and that this is happening. I also use Avast! Anti-security but I'm fairly certain that is having no effect on this problem. As I said I've also ran malware and virus scanners but nothing came up harmful.

    Hello,
    Try disabling Avast's web shield and try going to a few safe sites where you experienced the "untrusted connection". You can also follow this article for other common troubleshooting steps: [["This Connection is Untrusted" error message appears - What to do]].
    You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
    * [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/ MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware]
    * [http://general-changelog-team.fr/en/downloads/viewdownload/20-outils-de-xplode/2-adwcleaner AdwCleaner] (for more info, see this [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ alternate AdwCleaner download page])
    * [http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/default.aspx Microsoft Safety Scanner]
    * [http://support.kaspersky.com/viruses/disinfection/5350 Anti-Rootkit Utility - TDSSKiller]
    * [http://www.surfright.nl/en/hitmanpro/ Hitman Pro]
    * [http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner/ ESET Online Scanner]
    If your home page is has been changed, and you don't have any suspicious extensions:
    * Tools (or [[Image: New Fx Menu]]) > Add-ons > Extensions
    You can use the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/searchreset/ Search Reset Tool] to reset your home page, new tab page, and search bar back to default. The extension then uninstalls itself once these preferences are reset.
    Let us know if that helps.

  • Certain websites will load eg. Facebook, Google, etc. but others, eg. YouTube will not open. Why? And how can I fix this?

    Firstly, I downloaded the latest edition of Firefox. It then crashed several times in a row. This is when certain websites stopped responding and refused to open. I don't know what the criteria are for which websites open and which do not as I have no problems with sites such as Facebook, Google, etc. yet sites such as Youtube won't open.
    Also, If I search for something on Google, once it returns results, I cannot open certain websites from the links given to me by Google.
    Eg. if I search Google for Musicnotes.com, I can click the link and the page will open. But if I search for my university website, the page won't open.
    When I closed Firefox and went to reopen it, all I got was the "send error report" screen several times over. If I clicked "Close" or "Restart" Firefox, nothing would happen, it just returned me to the "send error report" screen. I then restarted Firefox in safemode as well as restarting it without add-ons. But I am having the same problems with opening websites.
    What can I do?

    Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.<br>
    Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br>
    All these programs have free versions.
    Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

    Hi - thanks for this info. Actually I have downloaded a 30-day trial of MS Office for Mac 2011 and it reads/writes. But I was expecting that if I saved it again, either as xls oe xlsx, then I would be able to open the newly-saved document in iWorks '08. This is not the case, any ideas why? cheers, Matt.

  • IPad Facebook issues with Safari

    Upgraded our iPad2 to 5.0.1 and when we now access Facebook via Safari, the video in Facebook now loads over the text.
    According to a Genius Bar guy at our local Apple store, this is a Facebook issue. I don't want to use the new Facebook app as it's still quite buggy.
    Any suggestions for accessing Facebook with Safari?
    Thanks.

    This is all on Facebook's code.  There is nothing you can do from the iPad other than to contact Facebook support and tell them about it.
    I use the Facebook app frequently and I don't find that it's that buggy.  It's not perfect by any means, but it's OK.  But I generally do prefer the web version.

    How do I close out my apps (Facebook, iTunes,etc.) so I don't run up my data usage?

    Generally just tapping the home button when in the app will close it. However, I feel you are referring to closing in the multi-tasking tray. Tap the home button twice, the list will come up. Then swipe upwards on the thumbnail of the app and it will close.

    Hey jerzeyzfynest,
    Unfortuantely, no -- Geek Squad Protection plans require that repairs be sought before a product is considered for replacement. This means your current laptop would only qualify for an exchange if one or more of the following conditions are met:
    A factory-authorized technician has determined that repairs cannot be completed
    A factory-authorized technician has determined that replacement parts cannot be obtained
    The unit has accrued two previous qualifying repairs a factory-authorized technician has identified a third qualifying hardware failure
    A detailed overview of this policy may be found in your plan documentation, as well as in the sample brochure available on the following site:
    http://bbyurl.us/TandC
    If your current laptop hasn't been performing up to par, then I'd encourage you to speak with a technician at your local store when you have the chance to do so. Diagnostic services are included in your service plan coverage, so we'd be glad to help find out what's going on.

    Since upgrading to io7 my ipad consistently freezes in multiple apps, Facebook, podcasts, etc.  Powering off or home button don't work.  Have to sit and wait 5 minutes until it seems to come back.  So annoying.  Anything to do to help?  I have had it with this operating system!

    (A) Reset iPad
    Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
    Note: Data will not be affected.
    (B) Reset all settings
    Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings
    Note: Data will not be affected but settings will be reset.
