Facebook Keeps Notifying Me Of Friends Check In's...

Hi All,
Hoping someone can help...
For some reason when friends check into facebook using places my ipod makes the facebook notification sound and then if I unlock my ipod touch screen it says facebook - friend NAME checked in at PLACE.
I have removed and re-installed facebook but its still doing it, any ideas on how I can stop it?

Go to Settings>Facebook and maybe turning off alerts and Push notification will eliminate the notification.

The App Store keeps notifying app update that I've deleted

It doesn't seems to cripple the system or anything, but it is so annoying. Not very Apple-like. I have deleted the Evernote App, empty the trash. The App Store keeps notifying the Evernote update. If it's a bug, I hope they will fix it soon.
Oh, and yes, I downloaded the app from App Store, not somewhere else.

Have you got any external disk connected to your Mac? If you have an external disk, disconnect it and check if the Evernote update shows up.
If not, you have Evernote on the external disk, so go there and delete it

Facebook app unable to load friends list

Hello everyone. About 3 days ago my facebook app stopped loading my friends list. I get a message saying "your friends list is unavailable". Because of this, I've been unable to post on someones wall, send a msg, or poke. The only thing I can do is upate my status, upload photos, and respond to a post someone sends me. I've search for a fix but can't find one. I've restarted the phone, reinstalled the app. Nothing is fixing it.

Only 2 things I can think of has worked for me when I had similar problem. 1. Clear Cache. 2. Log out of FB on your BB then log back in. You get to both of these in FB by pressing the menu key then scroll down to options and select one. Hope this helps.
Edit: One afterthought was to go to My Account in FB on your pc and click on the Mobile Tab. Then re-submit the mobile number for activation. It's worth a try.

That's strange, I have the same version of iPhoto and have almost no trouble loading to Facebook. Sometimes though the attachment libraries that are old disappear for whatever reasons. It may be due to the fact that I change info in the names of some of the libraries once on Facebook. To avoid problems, I always ensure my web browser is closed when using iPhoto, and vice versa.

Can't delete or edit a Mail account that is unable to connect and it keeps notifying me and asking for password. Macbook Pro with Yosemite. If I highlight the account and go to Mailboxes, "Edit smart mailbox" is greyed out. Delete the mailbox is an option, but the mailbox just doesn't go away and no error message displayed. Tried Mail/Preferences/Accounts, highlighting account and using minus sign, it tells me the account is shared by other applications and gives me an option to go to Internet Accounts. At Internet Accounts, the only mail account showing is iCloud. Meanwhile, the pesky Mail icon is jumping around the bottom of my screen.
Can anyone help?

Did you ever find a fix for this? Mine is doing exactly the same thing, even with 2.01 - I hoped that might fix it. I'd rather not have to reset and erase the whole phone.

Same here, wife has been using her Facebook app all day, mine keeps giving me this stupid message, and this is the only other post any where i can find about this issue, thats not from 2010 or 2011. Open calender, on the top left open calenders, and then uncheck birthdays on the bottom.

The app seems to be incompatible with iOS8. All users can do is wait for Facebook to update their app and find work arounds. I use safari to access facebook. Have you tried it that way?

Do not use the iPhoto - Facebook link - as advertised changes on either side are automatically synced to the other - that is the way it works
If you do not want the features that iPhoto offers then upload directly form a web browser or other method

Apple TV keeps notifying me that Airplay requires iOS 7, OS X 10.9.2, iTunes 11.2 or later...
All of my devices meet the requirements and I keep getting this message.
Anyone know how to stop this from happening?

Facebook keeps crashing on Iphone 4s (IOS 7.0.3)

I have an iPhone 4s, IOS 7.0.3 and Facebook keeps crashing. I uninstalled the app (both via iTunes and directly on the phone) and reinstalled it => it keeps crashing. I restarted the phone => it keeps crashing. I changed my settings back to factory settings => it keeps crashing. Anyone any idea?
