Facebook message on email format

Hi....this is my first post in here...I hope somebody can help me with my little problem
I was using Facebook app since the first time I use my BB. Ussually, when I got notification about someone messaging me on FB, if i click on the notification item, it'll take me to the FB message screen where I can reply the message right away. But yesterday it's change, when I got notification that someone messaging me, when I click it, it only show me the email of the message like this :
And I should open my FB account on browser first to reply it.
Someone could tell me what's wrong with this and how to change it back to old setting where I can reply my FB messages straight from FB app?
Thank you in advanced

Yup....I've tried to reinstall & reset my handset....still got the same problem.
And today's update is.....I can open a friend request....when I click it...just give me a menu...when i choose Open menu...it doesn't do anything....pffttt

• New message notification email format

Received several forum message notifications this morning with a new format, hopefully just a transient glitch
The new format had lots of blank lines interspersed with the first few lines of text, pushing the Subject, Author
and link lines off the bottom of the window, requiring a scroll down to see them. Makes reviewing the notifications
much slower. Any chance this is an aberration and we will get the old format back?
Thanks.
Matt
Solved!
Go to Solution.

Never occurred to me that someone would embed pictures in an email.
It sure looks like it is related to embedded graphics, but when I look at the message source
there are no links, just text with lots of newlines.
Client is Firefox 3.0.4. Worked fine until this morning, then all of a sudden the format changed.
Don't see an option to display inline graphics, not that I would want to.

• Facebook messages without email spam?

I’ve had my bb 8900 for a couple weeks now. I downloaded the facebook app & was annoyed to find out I’ve got to sync up email address to get fb messages on the app.
I don’t want to change my email account I use for fb, but I also don’t want to get a notification vibratation & flash on my phone every time I get one of my 2000 daily spam emails… any suggestions?
Thanking you in advance

Use your Profiles > Alerts and set your Facebook to NOT notify of alerts from Facebook, for one thing.
Then set a good spam filter on your email server. You're getting 2k daily spam messages? I'd certainly want effetively kill the spam at the server level OR yea, change your email address. That's ridculous.

• Call log, text messages, emails, and facebook messages erasing

Last night when I realized that my entire call log and well as all of my text messages, a large portion of my emails, and some of my facebook messages had vanished. I thought I must have inadvertently done something to make that happen. The this morning when I woke up, the new text messages and calls I had made last night were gone too. Any ideas on what is happening and how I can stop it?

• Problem with Email format in message

Oflate when I reply or forward emails I get undesired contents(most probably codes) in the message at the receiving end and in the copies received by me. Sample of such contents/codes are produced below. This makes the message look ugly and main contents not readable. Is there any way this can be rectified?
MIME-Version: 1.0
Content-Type: multipart/related; boundary="=_related 003D51D965257AC4_="
This is a multipart message in MIME format.
--=_related 003D51D965257AC4_=
Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary="=_alternative 003D51D965257AC4_="
--=_alternative 003D51D965257AC4_=
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="utf-8"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit

Hi,
Conversion rules are defined in node setup. For your case check the configuration of your email client. Go to transaction SCOT, double click the node for email e,g. SMTP. A new screen will appear. At bottom of screen in "supported address type" click the button SET infront of internet. It will show you four option. SAPSCript & Form / ABAP List / Business Object / RAw text and setting in front of these option will tell the system that which format is to be used while sending output.
To actually send an email to outside of SAP usually program RSCONN01 is scheduled with variant INT as a background job with an interval of 5 to 10 min. This program is actually reponsible to convert the output as defined in SCOT and submit it.
System uses FM module of group SX to convert internal format to external format (as defined in SCOT) before sending email or fax. Search for pattern SX_OBJECT_CONVERT_* in transaction SE37 for available converter in your system.
thanks

• Multiple Email/Text/Facebook messages

When I send a text/email/facebook message my phone will send the message 4-5 times, usually a few hourse after the first message has been sent. How do I stop this from happening?

I would recommend to do a battery pull and reboot the system as well as doing a PRL update on the phone. Here are the steps to doing the PRL update.
1. Power on the phone within the Verizon Wireless coverage area.
2. Dial *228 then press SEND (this call is airtime free and may take up to 2 minutes).
3. When prompted, press 2 for the option to update the PRL
4. Once completed, a confirmation message will appear to informing that the phone has been re-programmed with the new PRL.
5. Press End to terminate the call.
6. Power cycle the phone to complete the update
Dial *228 then press SEND (this call is airtime free and may take up to 2 minutes).
Hope this helps!

• Email format with Bursting to include text instead of as an attachment?

In BIP notification E-mail has malformed URL; user can't see his output, I mentioned that we were getting E-mail messages from BI Publisher that contained a malformed URL.
Now that we're bursting a different report, I would like the text message (parameter5) to actually appear in the body of the message rather than as a text attachment.
Is there any way to do this?
I have searched over BI Publisher high and low, and can't seem to find any place to set or change the mail format to make this possible. Is this something that is set outside the system, say, at the exchange server, or am I missing something?

Hi,
You can use the following inside the xapi:message element to format the Email as HTML:
<xapi:email server="${C_XX_SMTP_SERVER}" port="${C_XX_SMTP_PORT}" from="${C_XX_FROM_EMAIL}" reply-to="${C_XX_FROM_EMAIL}">
<xapi:message id="email_mem_card_letters" to="${C_TO_EMAIL_ADDR}" attachment="true" content-type="text/html" subject="Card Letters"><![CDATA[

Help with what? It looks like it's working exactly as it's supposed to.
If you want to send a plain text message, no formatting, no signature, no smilies, no extra anything, then use plain text mode and send it via vtext.com If there is a picture, or it's an html email, it needs to be sent via vzwpix.com.

• Can I send message in byte format

hello
Why no one is answering me
but still I want to know that Can I send message in byte format to inbox
message.setContent(byte [] b, "text/plain");
And Can I receive mail in byte format from inbox.
String dis = new String((String)messagePart.getContent());
plz resolve my problem

Obviously you have a very skewed view of the world
based on what you want to do. The most common thing
people want to do with email is not send raw binary data.
The most common thing people want to do is send text to be
read by a human.
Nonetheless, it's very easy to send binary data. Again, the
most common case is sending text. The thing that's important
with text is that it appear as the same text at the other end.
That's easy. But if you have text where every CR, LF, and
space has to appear absolutely unchanged at the other end,
that requires a bit of extra work.
The demo program sendfile.java that comes with JavaMail
shows how to send a file as an attachment. That's the core
of the program. Here's the 6 lines of code you need to add
to that program to do what you want:
------- sendfile.java -------
100c100,104
< FileDataSource fds = new FileDataSource(filename);
FileDataSource fds = new FileDataSource(filename) {
public String getContentType() {
return "application/octet-stream";
};113a118,119
msg.saveChanges();
mbp2.setHeader("Content-Transfer-Encoding", "base64");Is that so hard?
If you don't want to send the file as an attachment, but rather as the one
and only body of the message, it's even easier. Let me know if I need
to write that program for you as well.
And if you already have the data in memory in a byte array, that's even
easier still.

• Changing email format to UTF8

Is that possible to change the email format to utf8 before going out. Thank you

Hi,
It is definately possible, but the process depends a bit on how your Office 365 identity setup looks like, and also what you actually want to do?
Do you want to change the logon username as well?
Are you using DirSync for provisioning accounts? If that is the case, it's in your on-premise Active directory you need to do the changes.
Here's a very quick example that sets primary email address for all users to
[email protected] (note that I'm not changing the logon address). I am also assuming that you have Displayname formatted as "Firstname Lastname". It will not remove any old
addresses, just set them as aliases.
Get-Mailbox -RecipientTypeDetails UserMailbox| Foreach-Object {
$DisplayName = $_.DisplayName.split(" ").tolower()
$NewEmailAddress = "$($DisplayName[0]).$($DisplayName[1])@365lab.dk"
Write-Host "Old primary email address is $($_.WindowsEmailAddress), will change to $NewEmailAddress"
Set-Mailbox -Identity $_.Alias -WindowsEmailAddress $NewEmailAddress -WhatIf
You need to remove WhatIf from the set-mailbox cmdlet in order to do actual Changes...
Below you'll find acouple of links that may be useful as well:

• New Email Format

Rather than an idea, this is a plea for help because I was unable to find another place through Online Support to make a complaint.
The changes recently made to the email format (around 1/20/2011) for how to select email contacts when trying to send a message are HORRIBLE. You can no longer select the email address from a list that contains the contact's actual name. As I'm sure you are aware, many people don't use their actual names in their email addresses. They use any combination of initials, numbers, and sometimes names that mean nothing to anyone but themselves. In 2011, we all have hundreds of email contacts, and just like phone numbers, we don't keep them in our heads, but select them from directories that we pay for through our service contracts. Since the changes were made, the list to select email addresses is just all mushed together with the email addresses running from one line to the other. You can’t even see the entire address. PLEASE go back to giving us a list that contains the person's actual names so we will be able to select contacts. I am a triple-play customer who also has wireless service, but if some changes aren’t made, I will have to change to another provider. I will have to cancel it all because since 1/20/2011 (the past 4 days) I have been unable to send several emails because I don’t know people’s email addresses; I need to see their name beside it. Today, we all use email, texting, etc. to contact our friends and colleagues. I’m sure I can’t be the only person who dislikes this or who has complained. And, it’s not merely a matter of disliking the new way, it is unusable; Verizon is causing me to lose communication with my contacts. Whoever made the decision to change the selection of email addresses to this new way is a terrible designer and, at the very least, should be reprimanded. AND, I hate the way these severe changes are always made to the email access without any warning or instructions on what the changes have been or how to use them. Please provide a more user-friendly environment.

I have to agree with most of the opinions mentioned here. The new email format is absolutely more cumbersome to use, not very practical, and doesn't perform as well as the old version. It also looks ugly and confusing. All the teeny-tiny window areas in which to view anything is horrible. I tried changing my Settings in my Mail area, however, after half an hour on three separate occasions, of trying to 'SAVE' my settings, I gave up. I cannot change my email settings to a "Classic View". Just doesn't work.
My husband and I were thinking of going FIOS but after viewing and trying to use this new email design, we are having second thoughts. Optonline is looking pretty good and we will be checking them out instead. Too bad, we've been with Verizon a long time. I guess some think these new changes were an improvement. Not me!

1. Resetting a device such as your Z10 involves only removing the battery while powered on. You will lose no data or anything, it is a simple reboot, not a factory reset.
2. There is a known bug on deleting some Facebook messages. Basically, some won't delete and will continue to sync back.
