Facebook not loading properly on safari

I just turned my computer on after having it off for about a month and I updated it as soon as I turned it on and after updating it I went onto Facebook but when the page loads all I see is text. no images. please help it has been like this for three days now, I also try to open youtube and the same thing, I tried google and it loads fine? idk what is going on.

From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click:   Remove All Website Data
Then delete the cache.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If nothing above helped, troubleshoot Safari extensions.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

  • Facebook not loading properly in Safari. OS - Windows Vista Business

Hi...every time I try to go to Facebook in my Windows Safari 5.1.7 lately, the pages do not load properly. This is a new problem for me, as I've used Safari for Facebook many times in the past. Here's what the screen looks like when I try to go to any Facebook page...I've reinstalled Safari and looked all over the web for help...HELP!!!

Try accessing with Internet Explorer and/or FireFox.

  • Gmail and Facebook not loading properly after Safari update.

I got this message when I tried to check my messages:
+Some Google Mail features have failed to load due to an Internet connectivity problem. If this problem persists, try reloading the page, using https, using the older version or using basic HTML mode.+
So I tried using the basic HTML mode which meant i could read my messages, but not send or delete them. This is frustrating.
After checking other peoples posts on this topic, i tried a few things. Including creating a new user account to check if it was only a problem with my regular user account. That was no dice. Then tried resetting Safari, that didnt work. Also deleted a few random files, for eg: com.apple.Safari.plist.
But still no joy. Can anyone help please?

It's not a problem with Safari; it's a problem with your connection, as the error message stated. Your ISP could be having poblems, the Gmail and/or Facebook servers could be having problems, or both. That would cause a problem with the data being trasnmitted and received by the browser, so it can't render everything that should be.
Did you try downloading another browser such as Firefox to see if it happens there, too?

  • Why are YouTube videos not loading properly on Safari?

YouTube videos on Safari are not loading properly.  It is as if the YouTube viewing window loads right-justified on the screen. Which ends up being like almost a perfect square on the screen, with the unfortunate result that part of the video is truncated at the right.  The same exact video on Chrome loads just fine.
I've just updated Flash and the problem persists.
    Here's a screenshot.
The right part of the image shows a "Google 414 That's an Error" along with the description "The requested URL/adi/N8380.280090.ACCORDANTMEDIA/B7762596.101545485... is too large to process. That’s all we know."
Is anyone else having the same issue?

    Hi Carlos ...
Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Advanced tab.
Click Delete All under Browsing Data and Settings
Back to Safari. Press Command + Option + E to empty the Safari cache.
Quit and relaunch Safari, try a video.
And make Allow all other plug-ins is selected in Safari > Preferences > Security
Command ,  (comma) will open the Safari preferences pane for you, or from your Safari menu click Safari > Preferences
If nothing above helped, try troubleshooting Safari extensions.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test. If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

  • Facebook not loading correctly in Safari

The last few days my Facebook profile has not been loading correctly in Safari. When I first got the phone, all pages would load. Now, every time I click the 'profile' link, only text shows up, no photos or media. I have cleared the cache and history already. At first, this was just my profile, however, now it is doing it to my friends profiles as well.
The main page loads fine with all graphics and such. I have also noticed when I click on 'profile', it constantly adds iphone.facebook to the beginning of the link. Even if I change it, it always loads it.
Anyone know a fix for this? Very annoying.

Don't try to "change" it. They are reading your browser type and directing you to the mobile version of the site. If you don't want it, go to the bottom of the page and choose the link that says load the Full Site. Then the site will act like it does on your computer.

  • Facebook not loading properly

I don't know if this is an issue with Facebook, or an issue with Firefox (maybe someone more "in the know" could tell me), but regardless...
I have had issues TWICE THIS WEEK with Firefox not loading Facebook. While it is easily solvable by resetting Firefox, it is a tad annoying/frustrating to have to re-install my add-ons after the fact.
This isn't an issue with my computer or internet connection though. If I go on Chrome while Firefox is still refusing to load Facebook, Facebook will load just fine on Chrome.
I am currently not having this problem with any other sites. Just Facebook.
EDIT: All things are current on my browser.

  • Shockwave Flash Plugin not loading properly in Safari 1.3.2

Lately, I've been getting a message in Safari that it attempts to load the Shockwave Flash plugin in, but it's unsuccessful. I think that I've done just about everything possible to corect the problem (uninstalling, installing, fixing permissions, manually deleting associated files...).
Thanks in advance for any advice.

    Thanks for the reply.
The Flash media box is indeed unchecked in the QT Sys. pref.'s. And I have IE 5.2.3 installed but never use it. And what's the strangest of all, is that booting up as another user on the same computer, Flash works fine (same sites, same software, etc.). The account that I'm having the problem with is the admin account. The one that works is set up as a Standard account. I've also tried reinstalling it from Macromedia's website, and I simply get an error message stating that I do not have sufficient access (while I'm signed in as Admin. The other account (standard access) allows the install to run smoothly, and as I said above, it works seamlessly.
    Thanks again for any insights.

  • WebPages not loading properly in Safari on iOS5/6

My WebPages are not working with Safari on iPad iOS6. I have tested my Webpages in IE, Chrome & Safari on Desktop and also tested in Android tablet (default browser) and Mobile Chrome in iPad. I see the pages loads occasionally in iPad Safari (yet not working when navigating to other pages). Everytime when I open the iPad Safari, I used to clear the cache and also I have tried private browsing. Still it is not working.

Try accessing with Internet Explorer and/or FireFox.

  • Pages not loading properly in Safari (or any other browser)

My wife just got a new iMac and it's worked perfectly until today.
Suddenly web pages aren't loading correctly.  No images load--only text and links down the left-hand side.  Here's a pic:
This happens in Safair, Firefox, Chrome ... nothing we can find seems to fix it.
I thought the Safari experts might have a solution.
    Thanks!

    Thanks for the suggestion, Linc.
As it turns out, we use an internet filter called Safe Eyes that was preventing images from loading on certain web pages.  This makes sense, since every browser we tried had the exact same problem.
We changed some of our filter settings and now the pages upload normally.
    Thanks!

  • Facebook is not loading properly and all my text and images are lined up along the right side of the page. How can this get fixed to the way it use to be?

Facebook is not loading properly and all my text and images are lined up along the right side of the page. How can this get fixed to the way it use to look?
Everyone who logs into Facebook on my Firefox has this problem however if we use Internet Explorer - facebook looks normal.

If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" as a high value can cause issues like you described.
    * Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"

  • Facebook and other websites not loading properly in Firefox (Solution)

This is for anyone who has had issues loading Facebook, eBay, twitter or any other site which shows plain text pushed to the left hand-side of the screen and fails to load images.
This issue had me stumped for about 3 hours. No matter what I did. No matter what I disabled. The problem remained. I cleared my cache, reset cookies, disabled addons, reset Firefox to default settings and kicked my pc a few times for good measure.
The problem was fairly simple and at my end, this is not a problem with firefox. SSL certification for facebook was being deemed invalid and therefore the site failed to load properly. Now because Firefox doesn't deal with SSL certificate failures, there had to be something else going on in another program. I then realised that Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 was the problem. If a website failed SSL certification for any reason Kaspersky Blocks access to the site which was causing the page to not load properly. You have to disable Kaspersky's SSL certifcation checks to be able to run the websites properly. You need to load your Kaspersky main menu and click Settings once there go to the tab that looks like a cardboard box (Object Detection Settings and Exclusion Rules) then when you can see a list of different options select Network and you should see Monitored Ports and Encrypted Connections Scan, disabled the encrypted connections then reload Firefox and try the webpage that wouldn't load. To know that kaspersky is the problem, you will get a dialogue saying you have to add facebook as an exception since it failed SSL Certification and this was the culprit for me atleast.
I looked at the mozilla support forums and it seemed to me, many people were getting this issue and some issues went completely unresolved and there was no mention about Kaspersky, so I hope this helps.'''bold text'''

Hi Hindhaughlee, <br />Thanks for the post.
This may not be the best place to post such a solution but maybe some users will find it. If it turns out to be a major problem with a simple solution maybe we will manage to document it somewhere.
Are you able to provide more details please:
    * exactly what software and software versions is the problem with ? <br /> You appear to be a Windows 8 user, but presumably the Kaspersky software may be applicable to other Windows versions, which Kaspersky software is this tested with ?
    * What is he exact error message or warning that Kaspersky generates in this situation ?
    * is the problem documented elsewhere, preferably in a public open site, if so maybe you could provide a link
    * can you detail simple but exact detailed Steps To Reproduce that will enable others to test out this problem and solution.
    Cheers

My facebook page will not load properly just shows the text headings on page no graphics like there should be.

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
    *Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
    *Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
*Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

  • Is there a way to not load images in safari? Like on android you can tick a box to load images or no to the internet?

Is there a way to not load images in safari on ios 7 like in android there is
The option to load or not load images?

My reply here was specific for this thread, but as you noted, I didn´t read careful enough. I wrongfully took for granted that issues in the More Like This box was platform dependent. I tried to apolgize accordingly, I would like to see the post deleted, but that doesn´t stop you from policing obviously.
And instead of arrogantly replying about matters irrelevant for this thread, maybe you should start reading more carefully yourself. The posts you are referring to are related to large images failing to load properly in Safari 7. This is not as you claim "vaguely related". Take this elsewhere if you have a problem with it.
Again, sorry for messing up the thread.
