Facebook not working on Curve

I can't connect to Facebook on my Curve. It says "A connection cannot be established to the Facebook server." I've entered the correct login information just to be sure it's not my error. Can anyone offer suggestions or let me know if this is happening to others?

about notifications you have some parameters to check :
on the Facebook website (you have to access it from a computer) : configure your account to receive notifications by email, to an email address that is received by your BlackBerry device
on the BlackBerry device, check that you do receive emails for Facebook notifications
on the BlackBerry device, in the Facebook application, check the configuration to swallow the emails from item 2.

BBM and facebook not working

I have just bought a Blackberry Curve 9300 and cannot get the BBM to work or activate, I received an email asking me to validate which I tried but a message came up saying this email address not waiting for activation. I also cannot get facebook to work on phone I have looked at so many options but nothing works is there an easy ABC way of getting my phone to work please!!

Thank you for replying so promptly. I am not very good at these techical things. The Model is Blackberry Curve 9300, is the carrier name my contract provider if so it is SFR (I live in France but I am Englisg so using an English system on my phone)
Not sure what a data plan unless that is the type of contract in which case it is monthly contract where I pay a set amount and receive an hour of calls, unlimited text messages and I thought BBM as well
I believe the operating system is 5.0
I'm afraid I don't know what the memory is or where to find it
I haven't received any error messages as I can't get connected to BBM or Facebook on my phone. I gave my PIN number to my daughters and I received a message saying Pending ( waiting for authorisation) - how do I do this? as I can't use BBM

When I go inot Set Up Wi-Fi connections and select a network it then shows my open Wi-Fi network so I know that worksOK

Facebook not working for my Mac OS X 10.6.8

When i go to the Facebook site, only the text appears to the left, and there are no graphics. The complete layout of the site appears as if a second grader coded it (no visuals or organization). What is really weird is i get a message saying, "Safari can't verify the identity of the website, "Facebook.com"... the certificate of the website is not valid. I have used several browsers including firefox, Opera and they all seem to be doing the same. And, all other sites work on my computer, JUST Facebook is not working. Anyone know how to fix this?

Facebook not working correctly in 14.0.1

Ever since updating to 14.0.1 (perhaps an earlier 14), I have not been able to post or even "like" items on Facebook. I can read pages just fine, but am not able to input anything. I get a page from Facebook that says, oops something is not working etc.
However, if I shift to IE, everything works just fine. This is happening on multiple computers. Two are running Win7, two XP, all NIS 2012 and all had no problems using FB with firefox in the past.

Thanks for the pointers! I found that by adding facebook.com to the my cookies exception list, things started working again. I read somewhere else that the new Firefox does some conversions of URL's entered without www. into ones with that. Might something like that explain why facebook has always worked in the past but stopped working with the release of 14? Seems to be working fine now.

yes because track pad is sensitife, try using like rubber to touch your track pad

Login with facebook not working

Unable to login to spotify desktop app (windows 7) with facebook login credentials.

I am having the same issue... I have even tried that cool trick where you use your facebook email and your facebook password and that does not work. I have uninstalled, re-installed, restarted, Tried to click on music to play in spotify, nothing. I am running the current version since I downloaded it again about 15 minutes ago. I have premium, and I am using windows 7 os. When I try to log in the non facebook way it says "service is temporarily unvailable, please try again later." When I try to use the 'log on with facebook, it opens a window in my chrome browser and that line says 'logging in to spotify' and it closes the window and makes the login to facebook button unclickable. All my updates are current on my computer. My antivirus does not see spotify as a threat. IE does not work either. I have tried pretty much everything. I am frustrated and really would like to have my music back.

"e" Button not working on Curve 8520

Hi,
I have a BlackBerry Curve 8520 (V4.6.1.272), and all of a sudden my "e" button does not work anymore. This has happened before (however, the last time was a couple of months ago) and back then it just fixed itself after a few minutes. But its been 3 days now and nothing I try works. Not the number 2, letter "e", capital "E" or anything like that works.
Firstly, I didnt drop the phone or spill any fluids on it (as far as I know). Secondly, I've done a few things as suggested on other support sites including rebooting the phone (took battery out while the phone was on) about 10 times now. But that didnt work. I also tapped the keypad around the "e" key and blew in it just incase there was a bit of dust stuck under the key, but still nothing.
Earlier I did a backup and was ready to do a complete Wipe. However, to confirm the wipe I had to type the word "blackberry"! So, needless to say, I couldn't continue because there's a **bleep** "e" in the word blackberry!!!
I also cant take it back to my service provider (MTN - South Africa) because they'll send it right back without touching it or replacing it due to a little physical damage. (I've had the phone for around 20 months now and the convenience keys on the sides fell out because I probably used it too much or perhaps its just not durable enough.) Nevertheless, I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place because I really cant go on like this for another 4 months until Im eligible for an upgrade!!
Please let me know what I can do to fix this. I absolutely love Blackberry and even the downtime didnt frustrate me as much as this. Its driving me up the wall and if I dont find a solution soon, im afraid i might just throw it off a cliff!

I was texting this morning and suddenly my "e" key didnt work.. didnt think much about it. made my calls and went to work. Then it hit me .. i have a password on my phone to stop me from butt dialing everyone.. and the password is wewe and guess what.. me "e" button doesnt work.. so now what.. was not around water.. pulled my battery.. and nothing.. Facebook not working anywhere on iPhone 4s ios5.1.1 please help

Hi all Sorry to bother you but i have a real iPhone crisis here.
I cant log onto facebook from my iphone 4s working on (ios 5.1.1) --- bot safari and facebook app are not letting me sign in, with any username or password ( i asked my friends to sign in even that did not work on my phone)
I also tried to sign in using chrome on iphone, same broblem. what happens is that in the browsers, it does not redirect as it should after i click log in and insteat shows me a blank page with a long web adresss nd des nothing. al other websites like gmail etc are working fine
in the facebook app , it gives me an error [ ERROR CODE 1: FBAPIERROR DOMAIN }
I dont know what that means, i have even tried to delete cache and history from setting,
there seems to be an incongruity between my phone and facebook domain or server, or something like that, coz rest of the (https) sites are working normally.
even in other apps such as instagram, the facebook extension is not working.
the problem is not speciifc to my fb account, i tried other accounts as well and i am able to access my facebook on my macbook pro.
PLEASE HELP ME !!!
PS I cant update right now , coz i have limited internet usage at high speed. i want to save bandwidth. so no ios 6 update suggestions please

I got the problem sorted out.
I was using a BB data plan from my previous device which worked fine up until the problem started. It appears that my carrier systems finally identified that my device was not a BB and therefore it was the data plan that caused the issue.
Have resorted to a normal GPRS data plan and everything works flawless now.
Maybe the info is useful to ouy all with the same issue.

My Facebook does not run properly since upgrading to yosemite, some sections i can't get in and you see the waiting clock then safari says it can't find it, not all photos load properly, also keep on getting you need to load java runtime overtime I log on even though it has verified it.

Wi-Fi not working on Curve 8520

I've recently bought a Curve and the Wi-Fi just refuses to work...
It started working for some time on the first day but post that it just shows the white colored hyphen next to the Wi-Fi option....
The VPN profile is not active but i dont know if thats the problem or not......
Can somebody help me out...i tried calling the service centers but couldnt reach them

Do you have the BlackBerry Data Plan on your service provider account? If so, the WiFi icon on the homescreen will turn bright white, and if not it will remain grey. Likewise the 'hyphen' will only be white on the WiFi status screen.

Receiving "like" notifications from Facebook not working

All of my friends receive a notification from Facebook when somebody likes their status. For example, when their phone is locked they will get a notification that someone liked their status. My iPhone 4 doesn't do that though. I get other notifications such as comments, friend requests, etc. but not likes. I've deleted the app, compared it to others but it still doesn't work. Is there a way I can fix this?

The same problem here. It used to work for a while. But after the last update it stopped working.
if I get an e-mail reply to an event, it does not update the attendee list.
i figured out though, that if you drag the .ics file onto iCal window (events part), the attendee status is updated and event is marked as done, but there is still a question mark in the upper part of the event.
obviously a bug.
