Facebook notification error

Hi there,
On my home screen the blue F symbol is always on screen with the number 5 next to it...... even when there are no new notifications, messages etc in the application....
I have tried deleting the facebook application and reinstalling it, but the 5F symbol is still there!!
It will go up in number and have a star next to it when there are new notifications for me to view, but it's really annoying me that it's there all the time and its wrong!
Any good ideas please.....??

Hi
The Blackberry is designed to be reset by removing the battery whilst the device is powered-on. Leave the battery out for a minute or 2.
See if that resolves the problem.
If not then go to the facebook app where the notifications are and select the date. Press the bb button and select mark prior read.

That's strange, I have the same version of iPhoto and have almost no trouble loading to Facebook. Sometimes though the attachment libraries that are old disappear for whatever reasons. It may be due to the fact that I change info in the names of some of the libraries once on Facebook. To avoid problems, I always ensure my web browser is closed when using iPhoto, and vice versa.

So Migrating to a new Macbook pro (retina) has cause a few bugs.
I have the same version of Iphoto running on both my old MBP and new REtina MBP. The difference is that the Retina MBP is running mountain lion and the old MBP runs Snow Leopard.
The Snow Leopard Iphoto app can login to Facebook without a prob
The Moutain Lion Iphoto app give the: "Cannot login to Facebook: An Unknown error has occured. PLease try again later"
Iphoto app is allowed on Facebook.
Since Iphoto was the same on both macs: I copied over the entire library from the old computer to the new one.
The library loads up fine in the new MBP.
I tried deleting the Facebook account and re-adding it on Iphoto. It still gives the same error.
Can anyone help.?

I have the same issue, but its happened in the last week or so on my older MBP with Snow Leopard - I know its authorised on FB and my password is correct! Just thought I'd share as it may not be a ML issue alone.

Normally, when you connect via http, the browser doesn't check for site identity, so I don't understand what's happening there.
Do you have any security-related add-ons that force popular sites to use a secure connection, or claim to provide anonymous browsing?
Were you making the connection on your own network or on a public network (e.g., school, coffee shop)? If it was a public network, maybe the error indicates that your traffic was being intercepted???
Without hands on, this is a tough one to diagnose.

Facebook plugin publishing error

Every time I try to upload a photo I get a error message
"Can't upload to the Facebook album named "xxx". Please make sure the 'Adobe photoshop lightroom" app has permission to upload to albums with the privacy level of this album."
I've already tried to delete the app, and reauthorizing it, creating another service in Lightroom to the same album, and looked all over my settings and couldn't fix it! The album privacy is a gear that says that "I can choose the privacy of each photo" and that's all! What can I do to make it work? Yesterday it was fine.
Also, the Flickr Plugin works fine.

Facebook log-in error

I badly need some help here... i keep receiving this error when i attempted to log-in facebook application using my phone... error : "Your login session has expired please re login to the Facebook application. (2102)".... i already powercycled my phone, uninstalled the application and then reinstalled it again... I agree. The Facebook failure must have been coincidental in that machine. I have a notebook that I loaded the same Acrobat into and it's Facebook is OK - It's on Win 7 OS. This laptop's (XP) Facebook works, but it doesn't have the Acrobat loaded into it. Also have a networked desktop for business on Win 2000 and it's Facebook works too. Haven't tried another browser in the suspect machine yet. There's definitely something wrong with it's IE8. What it boils down to in it, is that it won't logout of Facebook properly. I have to logout on some other machine. Then when I login on the bad one, Facebook only partially loads it's pages and I can't logout from it.

Facebook Issue 12-20-2012: Facebook App Returns Error Codes 2001 - 3799

Currently the Facebook application for BlackBerry is experiencing a problem where the application returns an Error Code 2001 through 3799. This issue is currently being looked into and hopefully a resolution will be found soon. Until then, here is a bit of information on the issue:
This error is caused by a Facebook server error (API errors) and is not an error on the BlackBerry server side.

Again, from what I've been told the issue is being worked on. Right now the workaround is to use WiFi (you may have to turn off the mobile network completely.) For some reason the mobile network connection to FaceBook isn't working as expected.

Facebook App Connection Error

Hi! I've been using this app just fine until recently, can't guarantee but I think the new update messed it up... It's not a Wi-Fi problem since Safari can open other websites except facebook. Yes, facebook on Safari also doesn't work, says "Server not found". I know there are a lot of related posts, but they all are kind of old, and the "solutions" do not solve my problem... It's intriguing because notifications pop on my screen whenever someone posts something in my wall or adds me as friend, yet whenever I unlock the screen to check it " Connection error. Try again". This has been going for 2-3 days now... Is there a solution that actually works, or will I have to wait developers to fix this bug?

Cannot publish to Facebook and Keychain Error

I want to publish photos from iPhoto 09 to Facebook but I've got some sort of endless loop error. See the screens at the link or read my description.

I press the Facebook icon in the lower right and I get the drop down dialog which asks "Do you want to set up iPhoto to publish to Facebook?" I click the Setup button. Then I get the iPhoto Uploader button and I put in my Email and Password. Then I get this "iPhoto wants to use the "loginrenamed2" keychain." Please enter password. So I enter the same password. I didn't make this keychain. I never use keychain and don't understand how it works or anything else about it. Then it takes me back to the original screen, "Do you want to set up iPhoto to publish to Facebook?" So the loop starts all over again.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Keychain is what stores your passwords. Try use Keychain Access to repair them. It's in your Applications / Utilities folder.

IPhoto facebook exporter login error

I know this is a common problem, or was, but I am trying to login to facebook via iPhoto exporter. When I click on logon, it just says
"An error occurred with Facebook Exporter for iPhoto. Please try again later."
I've been at this for a few days trying to figure it out. I've deleted com.apple.iphoto.plist, deleted my cookies, tried to reinstall safari, (even though I use firefox and it pops up). Is there a preference that I am not selecting? It is becoming quite frustrating, and I'm not sure if there is another way to do things (other than export whole album on to desktop and do it manually from facebook). Any help would be appreciated!!!

We are having the same problem. However, I don't think it has anything to do with the software on our computer because the exporter works on my facebook account but not on my wife's. But I can't see what causes it.

Facebook Upload Photo ERROR

My N9 is updated one with PR1.2.
I am having an issue from yesterday. It was working fine before. I was trying to upload the pictures from gallery, error appears 'some of the files weren't transferred because of a problem with the service'. I don't know why it is doing so now. It was working fine two days ago. No new app installed. N9 restarted many times. But no use.
I try to use fMobi and have the same error, i can only upload files into albums "mobile Uploads" but when share from gallery the album "mobile upload" not are visible...!!
Excuse for my bad english...Please Help Me !!!

I was facing the same problem till today. It got me angry because nobody is giving tips or suggestions so i tried to think about it alone and it gave results
what i did was:
- i got recenty a facebook app update ( that didnt fix the problem, maybe is good to be mensioned)
- when i log in to facebook from my pc i couldn't see the folder "mobile" (created by default from my N9) so i made a folder from the PC where i should upload the pictures from my mobile
- from the "limit image size to:"-options i chose "original"
and then it worked
i used my wi-fi and didn't make any tags
