Facebook pages don't complete

FYI, I had to go back to Firefox 3.6 after trying 4.1. You said it was faster but it was not. worse, many FB pages simply would not load. For example when you look at photos. Every other attempt to go to a "Next" photo would leave you staring at a blank white screen. Its as if the browser was refusing to display any content unless every last component requested by the page was completely loaded. When it didn't you got nothing. Then to add insult to injury, at least on XP Sr-3, the System Restore feature would not restore me to 3.6. I've seen this on 2 computers now! Trying to restore leaves you with a browser that won't launch at all. I had to go to your website with IE to get another version and re-install from scratch. You know what most users would do in that circumstance? Stay with IE!

I'm noticing the same problem with Safari 5.1 on Lion on a 2010 Mac Pro version 4,1 with 8 core, boot drive is SSD.
Basically when restarting Safari often it will take a long time for the first page to open or require "reload" after the page not responding dialog box. But once it starts working then if I quit Safari immediately then restart again then problem doesn't show up unless Safari hasn't been run for a while.
It happens even if attached internal and external HD are already spun up.
Tried priviliage repair and delete cache database...etc as some have suggested. Doesn't seem to make a difference. The restore windows when quittig option in General control panel has been disabled but that doesn't solve the problem either. Very annoying.
With the exception of this startup issue, Safari 5.1 is much faster and responsive than last version.

I have multiple Macs home and office. Under Snow Leopard 10.6.8 with Safari 5.1, never a problem on any of them.
As a test for usability of Lion, I updated one system to Lion, 10.7, and Safari 5.1 that was part of that. Now Safari on that system is very tempermental. I can go to the exact same page from the exact same link and all the Snow Leopard systems get there just fine. The Lion system has abotu a 10% (or less) of completely loading the page. Most of the time it gets stuck with an almost blank screen and the spinning colored beachball. Meanwhile, the Snow Leopard Safari gets it all loaded just fine.
Most of the pages I have tested it on are news sites, being taken directly to the news article from an email alert for instance.
On those pages where Lion Safari gets stuck, it NEVER resolves or completes the page - and never times out. Clicking the stop loading spot tells me the page is not responding and I can cancel the window or I can tell it to reload the page (which carries the caution that it will also then attempt to reload all pages that are on tabs. And, even pressing the cancel, all the other tabs go blank and have to be reloaded anyway.
AND - even coming here I can't get into even the basic support main page due to the same thing here on Apple's own site.
Interestingly, I have not had a problem with any other Lion issue that many others have reported. This seems to be the only negative thing I have had happen.

Web pages don't fill the screen completely and with the font settings on 16 or larger the links and letters/words overlay making it difficult to read.

You can use an extension to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages.

If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" as a high value can cause such issues.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)
Make sure that you allow websites to choose their fonts.

I can no longer leave a comment on my or others facebook pages. Some tab said that my browser security is blocking it. How do I change this? Sarah Clark

I can't add comments to my or others facebook pages. This was not previously the case. I don't know if I accidentally clicked on some update or what.
It is when I want to leave text as a comment. No mouse cursor shows up, and I can't type in anything.
I have tried to disable all addons that I thought might be related, but still nothing can be typed in the comment.
One popup box said that my browser security is not allowing.

How to upload a photo on a Facebook page, NOT in the profile?

The Facebook publish plugin is very basic - anything else you need to do has to be done the conventional way via their website (and quite frankly it's better to use the website anyway, so you can fix the descriptions and tags).

A lot of Ads on my facebook page after upgrading to Firefox 5.0

clear your history under "today" along with the cache button checked!! Go to Tools then Clear Recent History. Worked for me!!!

Since today I can't publish on Facebook page albums using de Facebook/Lightroom plugin.

It only allows me to publish on my user albumns, but my pages albums don't appear in the menu anymore.
Here, marked in red, should appear "Album existente sin propietario" or "Existing album without author" but it doesn't since today.
Reinstalled lightroom, the plugin, the facebook addon, tried on another computer, it just doesn't work anymore.

I have encountered the same problem you have! I have been posting to Facebook Pages for a few years now.
I have reported this problem to Facebook using their own problem reporting mechanism.
It would help if everyone who is having this issue should do the same. Here is the process:
1. In, Facebook, Click on the pull down on the far upper right of the screen.
2. Click "Report a Problem"
3. Click "Something Isn't Working"
4. Select Pages on the pull down.
5. Explain the problem.
6. Upload a screen image. I captured an image of trying to create a new published collection with the pull down showing no Page Albums listed.
Here is my current thread on the Adobe Lightroom discussion forum. Still no response from either Facebook or Adobe.

since sunday my facebook page appears as blank to messages and images. I tried de deblock the page from the mozilla scroll down menu but it won't work. Please help. I am no specialist but need my face book messages. if you can call me at ** I would prefer to be guided verbally.

Did you try clearing your complete cache and ONLY Facebook cookies? Do the follow steps:
*Press CTRL + SHIFT + DEL
*Make sure only ''Cache'' is selected and from the time frame above make sure it's on ''Everything''
*Click the orange Firefox button, then go to Tools
*Go to the Privacy panel then click ''remove individual cookies''
*Search for Facebook then delete all Facebook cookies

I can't share my iMovie to my BUSINESS facebook page

I created a movie in iMovie 10.0.2 and was able to share it on my PERSONAL facebook page but was not given the option to post it to my BUSINESS page. When researching, I found that I have to share it to QuickTime and then upload it, but I don't have that option in the Share Menu in my version of iMovie.
I also tried to save it as a file, but when I tried to upload it onto facebook it gave me an error message that said it has to be smaller than 4MB or a supported formate like JPG, PNG, GIF or TIFF. I didn't see options, when sharing from iMovie to a file, of how to save.
Would love any help!

OK i have over 500GB of space on hard drive and iDVD is installed. I've created many projects using these programs before but never had it freezing on me. The film is 13 minutes long and in the past I've produced filmd of 30 mins without a problem. Any suggestions?

Safari freezes when i try to open a link off of my facebook page.

Hi everybody, I just recently had a little brother do a facebook quiz "spongebob" quiz on my laptop without my knowledge. After this being posted on my profile, every time i try to click on a facebook link off my page, it freezes safari and i have to force quit the application. Safri works fine as long as i don't go on my facebook page and click on a link, is there some kind of spy ware/virus on safari? any help is much appreciated. Thanks, Mike

Try maintenance.
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...
from the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset.
There are no Mac viruses in the wild and I doubt it's malware. Try emptying the cache and reset Safari and see if that helps. Often times, just restarting your Mac can help.

My Facebook page menu bar is missing icons.

My Facebook page is missing the graphics/icons on the menu bar at top. Other browsers act ok. I did a virus and malware check. I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. What is causing this problem?

I notice you have several different AdBlock extensions. You might need to fine-tune some of their settings.
First though, when you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove your facebook.com cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page and logging back into Facebook. Any improvement?
If none of that helps, could you post a screen shot showing which icons are missing, or describe them in more detail?

Enter facebook PAGE on Nokia C3

Hi!
I am using my facebook app on my nokia c3. I do have a normal facebook account as well as a Facebook PAGE connected to this account. I also would like to enter/comment etc. on this Facebook page but can't find a way to switch from my normal account to the Page account. How can I do this?
And another question: Where is the SEARCH field on the facebook app? Is it not possible to search for people/things.... as it normally is on the top of the page?

Change Your phone if it is possible is best solution. But if You can;t, try to use GPRS connection instead of WiFi, then Nokia apps should work. And better solution: use Snaptu app. It is better, faster and working fine with WiFi, and will also give You community option with Facebook and Twitter.

You can set up a secondary Facebook Publish Service that targets your second Facebook page. Simply right-click (Command+click) the existing Facebook Publish Service and choose "Create another Publish Service via 'Facebook'", then choose new settings for the second service.

Mousing shows all the available pre-formatted page available in each template to give you an idea what is there, but you only get one, sometimes 2, when you create a new document. All of the other pages can be accessed via the Insert menu. Insert > Sections in word processing & Insert > Pages in page layout.
If they all loaded when you opened a template, you'd have to go through & delete the ones you don't want & duplicate the ones you want more than one of.
FYI: the name of the program is iWork, no 's' & no hyphen
