Facebook photo problem

My wife got a 9810 torch which started hanging and I upgraded her software to os 7.1. Now facebook mobile site does not show any photo/pictures and says it is a fb without photo version. I downgraded software again and it does the same. Uninstalled fb and reinstalled it and it stays the same. Can somebody please assist.

Safar/Facebook photo problem on iMac with OS X 10.8

I have updated my Mid 2010 27" i7 iMac to Mountain Lion from Lion. The update appeared to go smoothly with no difficulties reported.
So far I have found only one 'issue'. I doubt it is entirely an OS or Safari problem as I also updated my wife's mid-2011 13" i7 MBA and my new MBA to Mountain Lion and they do not exhibit the problem. I've posted about this problem on the iMac group three days ago but haven't received a reply so I thought I'd give this group a try.
Setup: Execute Safari (6.0), access facebook account, access any photo to bring up the Facebook photo viewer.
Issue: While viewing the photo the Safari window will flash displaying very briefly what appears to be the screen from which the photo was accessed. This occurs anytime the cursor crosses the left or right edge of the photo and sometimes randomly if the cursor is moved within the image. If the mouse cursor is not moving the flash doesn't occur--the image is stable.
I did a google search and didn't find the problem listed in the search results so I'm wondering if anyone with a mid 2010 i7 iMac has updated to ML also has the problem.

The fact that you have the same problem on the same model as I shows that it is likely an issue Apple will have to address. I have filed a bug report on the problem. We'll see if Apple deems it a problem with high enough priority to address in the near future.

I use Lightroom to upload photos so I wouldn't have noticed that particular problem.
It wouldn't surprise me, though. After all, it is a .0 release and facebook has been messin' with their photo software quite a lot recently.

Wi-fi and Facebook photos problem on iOS 6.0.1

I have a MacBook Air and and iPhone 3GS. Over wifi connection strange things happen when I use Facebook. I cannot see images on my timeline from firends and I cannot even see some of my photos. I've tried both secure and unsecure connection through Facebook account settings but nothing changes. Videos on the timeline won't play either. When I switch to 3G on my phone everything is fine. What could be the problem I cannot find out. Until a few weeks ago it was normal. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue?

I thought I believed my iPhone 4 with iOS5.0 would not disconnect during sleep mode. However, I was wrong. What I did was to ping the IP addresses on my iPhone 4 (iOS5) and iPhone 5 (iOS 6 then, and iOS6.0.1 now) when they were in sleep mode. Very true that there were timed-out on both devices. Once I woke them up, ping went thru. I did a scan on my home network using my iPad while the other 2 phones were in sleep mode, I was not able to see them.
I thought my iPhone4 did not disconnect too. But again, I think the reconnecting to wifi on iOS 5 is SO MUCH quicker than on iOS6 so user would think there was never a disconnect.

I Start a New am so frustrated with problems syncing photos on my iPad. I choose which files to sync but get deleted photos in my albums, my photos are in the wrong albums and the weirdest of all- I now have strange graphics and Facebook photos in albums!

I have spent several hours trying to find a solution to the following problems. After syncing my IPad with ITunes, I end up with photos that I previously deleted in my albums, duplicate photos, albums that have wrong pictures in them and weirdest of all, strange graphics and Facebook photos that are not even mine. Right now I hate this thing!
I have scanned the support forums, Googled it, deleted several photo caches, spent days editing my photo files, checked the specific folders I wanted to sync and it seems like it's not syncing, just adding the same photos and strange crap that it already had on it. Oh please help me!

OK....I'm stumped. The message you are seeing is typically there to protect someone from syncing with a different computer/iTunes account. Is there any way anyone else has used your iPad and possibly connected it to their computer?

This sounds more like a Windows question, than a Firefox question. When you say that an image shows up every time you open your computer, do you mean every time you turn on your computer, or every time you start Firefox?

Firefox 34.0.5 can't upload facebook photo

Hi,
After i update to version firefox 34.0.5 on my window 8.1, i can't upload facebook photo.
No problem on IE, Opera and Google Chrome.
I already update with latest Java and tested ok in Firefox.
Anyone can help me?

To protect against potential Java vulnerabilities, Firefox asks you to activate Java for each website you visit that uses Java. Facebook photo order

Since upgrading to Photos I have discovered that when I upload multiple photos to a Facebook album they are out of order. Not only that, but when I try to rearrange them in Facebook, it will not allow any of them to be moved around. This is the case when using both the Edit and Tag functions. When I drag a photo from this newly created album it snaps back to its original spot. When I open an older album in Facebook, created with iPhoto, I can rearrange the photos without any problem. Any workarounds for this problem?

I understand and am aware of the compressing that occurs when facebook uploads picture files (and many other types of files). I understand, and am aware of, the amount of image data that is lost as well.
I was, however, unaware of the process by which iphoto sends files "several at a time"
I was also unaware of the stripping of metadata that takes place during a facebook photo upload.
The method by which iphoto sends photos and facebook's stripping of metadata are certainly both contributing factors to the unorganized nature of iphoto facebook uploads.
I do care about my photos. Which is why they are stored in full, original quality on my hard drive. That is also why the full, original files are backed up regularly. I do not rely on facebook for photo storage. In fact, file compression was never my complaint; with respect to diminished image quality. I simply upload pictures to facebook to share them with friends and family.
It is a shame facebook seems not to respect the photos of its users. I understand file compression. I can not blame facebook for wanting to save space. But basic metadata (date/time) should be left alone. I will write to facebook.

Safari crashes when trying to use facebook photo upload

I have been using facebook photo upload from Iphoto with out any problems. Tonight I tried it and it shuts down safari happened a couple of times but it corrupted my whole photo library and now Iphoto shows the measage that it is totally corupted and unusable. Any one got any ideas to get it working and to recover photos

Please post your iPhoto question in the iPhoto forum. There are ways to recover, I think, but I am not an iPhoto "expert." Photos are precious and I think you will get the best guidance for possible recovery in the iPhoto forum. There are some real experts there.

OS 6 & Facebook photos

After upgrading to OS6 yesterday, Facebook asked for permission to 'share my photos'. Without thinking, I clicked 'no'. Now FB won't let me upload any photos. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I had a similar problem with my phone, when I accidentally clicked "No" yesterday, and then I started having problems getting photos to save to my phone after clicking "save image" in Facebook. I started playing around and went into the "Settings" app on the main screen of my iphone and then scrolled down to "Privacy" and clicked. On the next menu, I went to "Photos" and the next screen asks about photo access. My Facebook photo preference was set to "Off", so I switched it back to "On" and I'm now able to save Facebook photos again! Not sure if this is what you are looking to fix, but I hope this helps you! I have a feeling this is going to be an issue for a lot of people

New to Mac-- Security Certificates and facebook photo uploader question

I'm new to Mac and really have to idea how to fix my problems, so please bear with me as I ask what may be a dumb question.
I was attempting to upload a photo into a pre-existing album on facebook. Because the album was created before I switched to Mac, I did not use iPhoto to publish it, and attempted to use the Facebook photo uploader. On my PC, it would ask to download the Facebook photo-installer add-on, which would then be deleted and need be be reinstalled if I cleared my internet explorer history fully (Maybe this is why PCs are far less stable...but I digress)
When I navigated to the photo uploader, I received a message from Java that something was wrong with the security certificate of the application. I clicked "don't trust" because the other options were "trust" and "show certificate"...it all happened so fast, I don't remember the exact language, and I wanted to keep my Mac as stable as possible. Now, the photo uploader is nothing but a red "X" in the upper left corner of where the application should be
I reset all of my Java defaults. I reset Safari (deleted history and all that, by doing Safari-->reset Safari) I don't know what else to do and I don't want to accept that I did something irreversible within a week of having my new computer...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!

when you tried to save did facebook ask you permission to access to the camera roll?
if not close and open facebook and try to save a picture and see if it pops with the question.
if it doesn't, goto settings>privacy>photos and see if facebook is added there,
if it's added and not enabled, enable it.
if everything mentioned above fails, do a reset by holding the power and home button until the apple logo appears ignoring the slide the switch off and try again to save it

How can I sync the Mac contacts app with my friends Facebook photos?

I have an iPhone 5 and and iPad so I'm not to new to Apple products, however i did just get my first MacBook (I'm in love!) I have a question, is it possible to sync the Mac Contacts app with Facebook so that my friends Facebook photos will show up in the Mac Contacts app like they do on my iPhone or iPad? When I use iMessage on my Mac I would like my friends FB picture to pop up, would someone mind to walk me through this process?

If calendar events are not syncing from the iPhone to iCal on your mac, try Resetting the Sync History as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TA23030
Then enable calendar syncing in iTunes and choose the Merge option on the initial sync.

Can I set "use facebook photo" for contacts by default?

When I edit a contact's photo, I can choose "use facebook photo" from the available options if there is a facebook profile linked to the contact. Is there a way to do this across ALL contacts, without having to edit each of my 300 contacts individually?
The issue I'm having is that old facebook photos from contacts added in iOS 5 are not updating anymore because the old photo stays as the contact's primary photo from the last time it was synced prior to facebook integration.

You can use plugins, custom codes to embed FB gallery in your site pages.
