Facebook pictures out of order?

I run into this issue every time I upload a new album into facebook through aperture. I recently uploaded an album of 188 pictures, and after it uploads to facebook, it changes the organization. I like the pictures being in the order that I took them, but somehow when uploading it gets completely rearranged. And every time I go into aperture facebook organizer, I select all images, reorganize by date, click on sync, and they get shuffled again. I have to do this about 10 times are so before the photos actually stay organized. But this time, it keeps messing up the order.
Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a way to make sure Facebook using the same photo order that Aperture uses? I'm tired of Aperture doing what facebook wants, instead of facebook doing what aperture wants.

This problem is also sending my mental! I changed the order to Album and Date....then it starts to sync all over again...but its as iff "Facebook Wins"....the annoying thing was, I had other albumbs correctly ordered and Aperture changed them, now I cant change them back. Its like Aperture wants manual setting only...or anohter setting...wasted hours of my life....again....
It takes so much time to sync "order"...you may as well have uploaded the entire album all over again. This is the 3rd time I've tried. Its also chaning the share settings...grrrr...
It just worked...but it took a few times. I also found what the "friend seeting problem was...go into apps in account settings on your facebook and change the settings for default.

  • Camera roll pictures are out of order after upgrading to iOS 8.1

It's nice that iOS 8.1 brings camera roll back. However, pictures are out of chronological order. I'm using iPhone 5s. I upgraded iOS from 8.0.2 to 8.1, and noticed this issue.

That's weird cause my videos are all interspersed with everything else like they used to be, which unfortunately means it's inconsistently screwing up too.  My pics start with 2007 (first year i got an iphone) then run up to about 2014 vaguely in order, then back to 2013 where everything's all out of order, then down to 2012 again (also out of order), then 2011, 2010, 2009 etc like it's running backwards to 2007.  Then once it hits 2007 again, it jumps to this past july.
    SO aggravating!

If nothing there helps, try plugging it in with the adapter and picking it up in your left palm to the left of the trackpad and squeeze the case there between your palm and left thumb as you push the power button. Do not let up the pressure on the case. Continue applying this pressure as for several minutes in an attempt to start up. Does pressure on the case there allow it to start up?

  • Why did my pictures download out of order?

I am trying to do a picture video for my son for Graduation.  When I scanned and entered the items I wanted on the flash drive I did it in the order I wanted it on the video.  Then when I went to adobe premier and uploaded them they uploaded out of order.  I am trying to put it all back in order but I am not sure how tk do it in a fast time.  It's taking forever.  I am about ready to delete it all and start all over with the upload but if they never will upload in order then I would have to start completely over.  Please help!  I have a hp laptop that I am using

On a side note, 'upload' means to transfer a file from a local computer to a remote computer over a network, and 'download' means the reverse, from a remote computer to a local computer.  These terms have nothing to do with PP after the installation process.
What you're doing is importing the media.

  • Why are my pictures in the "All Photos" Album out of order?

Within Albums there is an "All Photos" folder but some of the photos are out of order. How is this "All Photos" album different to the "Photos" view (which is in the correct order) and why are they not the same?

Thanks, that's a helpfuland explanation of the difference and makes sense as all  my photos are actually  in an album (which was an event in the previous version).
However it doesn't explain why the order in "all photos" is different.  It is not in the order that the albums are arranged, and odd photos seem randomly scattered about separated from other photos from the same album.
On a separate note It's also a shame as there is no way of arranging the albums chronologically (which you could do with events)

  • Photos syncing from folder to iPhone all out of order?

I have 2 folders synced to my iPhone 4 photo app.
They were previous camera rolls before I set up my phone as a new device. They are all named in order and taken in order, for example IMG_001.jpg was my first picture in my old camera roll. IMG_822.jpg was the last photo taken before I did the backup, and is the last in the folder.
The folder I am syncing from on my windows computer displays all of the pictures by filename (and because of that, by date) but when syncing with iTunes they end up on the phone ALL out of order. I can't find any rhyme or reason to how they are displaying. Most of the earlier photos show up at the beginning like they should, and the last at the bottom of the scroll appear to be mostly right, but then it's completely random from there.
I've tried unsyncing them, removing them, and then adding them back again and nothing seems to work. I've even tried renaming the IMG_xxx numbers to different things and they still appear to sync in the same random order.
Am I doing something wrong, or is this a huge bug for someone with OCD like me? lol

    This is highly annoying.
I have probably 15-20 Smart Albums in iPhoto 8.1.2 in OS10.6.4 that are syncing to iOS4.0
On the old software, my Smart Albums for photos would show up AS the smart albums I created. Now they show up in the iPhone one giant mess called "Photo Library".
I can view photos broken up under "Events" on the iPhone by specific dates, but the dates don't tell me what the name of the event was, and some Smart Albums had multiple dates grouped together in one Smart Album and I don't really want them broken out separately by date. I want them organized how I organized them...
In short, I want my photos grouped the way I have explicitly grouped them. It used to work, it doesn't now.
Since iOS4.0 I am also getting sync errors all the time in iTunes. "iPhone cannot be synced because the required file cannot be found." WHICH FILE??? tell me and I will delete it...
I've rebuilt the entire database in iPhoto (took 4 hours). I've scanned iTunes and removed all broken links and duplicate files. I've scanned the hard drive with the disk tool. I've emptied the iPhone and reinstalled iOS4 on it 5 times. I've turned syncing off for all non-essential applications and stuff I don't actually sync like voice memos. Same problem.
I think I want my iOS 3 back. I don't really like multitasking anyway, always having to turn off applications for the one or two times in a million where task switching if helpful...
    Ugh....

How do I add multiple pictures to my order? It wants me to check out after each one!

With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a potential solution.  We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:
what version of iPhoto are you using?
what system version are you running?
can you post a screenshot of the order window?

  • IPhoto 9 v. 8.1.2 How do I arrange my pictures in chronological order?

    iPhoto 9 v. 8.1.2
    OS X 10.8.5
    Hi
In any iPhoto window, my pictures don't layout in chronological order. I would like them to. I need to look at my pictures and see them in the sequence in which I took them. In the Mac Finder, there are many choices given for how to arrange files and folders. The one I would like to have for iPhoto is "Date Added".
How do I arrange my pictures in chronological order?
    Thanks

    Terence,
OK. I see that now. Thanks.
I looked up DSCF. There doesn't seem to be a consensus on just what the acronym means.
Digital Still Camera Fujifilm. I'll take this since my camera's a Fuji.
Digital Storage Compact Flash (digital camera)
Choosing "sort by title" seems to work to layout the pictures chronologically (Attachment 1.). The title appears to be the DSCF followed by a number and the number sequence represents the sequence the pictures were taken in. This is also my recollection of what sequence the pictures were taken in.
What I don't understand is "sort by date" (Attachment 2.) "Sort by date" throws all that DSCF sorted by title out of sequence. I can't figure out what the pattern it is that's created here. Where is Iphoto picking up it's dating data, and why are the DSCF numbers out of alignment?
    Attachment 1: Sort by title
    Attachment 2: Sort By Date
    Thanks for your input,
    Rafael

  • Import photos are out of order

I hope I can explain this so it makes sense.  I am trying to import photos from a compact flash card.  When they come into Lightroom they are out of order.  I have tried sorting them by all the different means in the drop down but still are not correct.  I notice that for some reason some of the photos show incorrect dates and that seems to be what is affecting the import.  Lightroom is putting the photos from the oldest date first.  I was able to load the pictures into a folder on the desktop and they are in the correct order just using the camera file names.  When I tried to load them from that folder into Lightroom, they went back to the incorrect order.  Is there a way to import without the metadata?  Is that what is fouling this up?  I don't know where these weird dates have come from but they are there and I can't get rid of them.
I am running Lightroom on an imac with OS 10.4.11 and this is the first I have run into this problem.  These photos are from an older camera, a Nikon Coolpix 885 and are my son's photos.  I normally import from my Canon camera using a compact flash with a reader  and have never had such a problem.  Here I am talking up Lightroom to my son about how easy it is to get the photos in and organize them and he is not buying it at this point.  Hopefully this makes sense and someone knows what is going on.
    Thanks

The date information is taken from the camera which writes it to the file. This needs to be set to the correct date and time in the camera itself.
The order the images are shown in the Library mode is set by clicking on the sort button in the tool bar, which if not showing can be activated from view, tool bar. There are different sort orders that can be applied including sorting by file name. You can also sort by dragging the images to the order you wish them to appear in by selecting user order.

  • Photos out of order with iOS5 update

Looking for any advice I can get on my out of order photos on my 4g ipod touch.  When the last major operating system update came down the line I had a similiar issue.  The way I solved it last time was by batch changing all the dates for my pictures in iphoto.  My folders in iphoto are numbered sequentially.  Any advice?

  • Out of order photos

I'm trying to synch my photos from iphone 3GS to my new macbook pro, but the photos are completely out of order, are all contained as one event, with the date being the date of the synch,  and there is no recognition of duplicates.  It transfers all 1200 pictures as one event! All out of order! I never had this problem with my old macbook pro, and just bought this new one, with Snow Leopard 10.6.8.  Any suggestions?

I now downloaded the latest iphone software update, and the photos are appearing in order, but still as one huge event, with no recognition by iphoto that 99% of these are duplicates.

  • Photos not synced correctly to iphone... Unorganized and out of order

After syncing my Iphone 4s with my macbook pro, all of my "Event" photos are out of order. If I open a specific event there will be photos that do not belong there and have no relation to that event... Same with the "faces" feature... I will specifically look for all pictures with "Mary's" face and majority of the pictures are other people with "Mary" not even in those pictures...
I have looked at my macbook and all of the photos seem to be correct on that and in the right locations... Not sure how to fix this problem or what to do :-/
This is a feature that I use constantly and would appreciate if someone could help guide me to correcting it....

    Hi Tasha48323,
If you are having issues with unusual or incorrect data after a recent sync with iTunes, you may want to turn off the sync options for Photos, click Apply (this should clear that data off the iPhone), then turn Photo syncing back on and Apply again (which should resync all the data back). You may find the Resolution section of the following article helpful (the article primarily concerns a slightly different issue, but the steps are the same):

  • Why do my photographs get out of order after I burn them to a CD-R?

Why do my photographs get out of order after I burn them to a CD-R?  They are in a folder in desktop and in order before I burn the CD.  What am I doing wrong?

    Hi there,
I don't know if it's too late to help, but I had this same problem and have found a solution that does not involve an iPhoto-only-CD or a slideshow.  So for future users with this issue:
The photos get out of order because iPhoto's software arranges them superficially as you please, but when you put them back in an ordinary folder the computer wants to arrange them by date or file name (the original file name).  You're not doing anything wrong, it's just the difficult thing about switching between an application and file storage on the finder.
The word you're looking for is Export, under the file menu in iPhoto.
Make a new folder on the desktop (or wherever).   Use the Export function under file.  A box should appear.  Choose the quality of JPeg you want, etc.  This next part is key:  if you set the "File Name" bar to "Sequential" the photos will be renamed in your order when they are sent to your new folder.  This way, even if they are sorted by name they will appear in the order you want.  You can also put a prefix on it, for instance "Paris-" would give you files named "Paris-01", "Paris-02" etc.  Now you should be able to burn the new folder on a disk using the usual methods.  And your PC friends will be able to see it!
P.S. you could also just upload the ablum to flickr, facebook, or something in the cloud and keep your order that way.  But if you want a hard copy this is way is handy.

  • Using Aperture 2, photos imported out of order

I'm finding that when I import pictures from my card reader, that the photos are out of order, a lot of the time, and am wondering if there is something that I can do to correct this.
Thanks in advance for any help!

You can sort the images in Aperture in a number of ways:
You can also go into list view and sort on fields that are not in the list above. Finally you can modify the displayed metadata to add something to the default set that you want to sort on.

  • Slideshows show photos out of order

    Hi there
I have an Apple TV and looking at my slideshows, my photos are displayed out of order. I renamed all the files so they are in the sequence I want, however that made no difference.
Seems as though the Apple TV is showing the files in order of the time the shots were taking which is not what I want given the re-naming process I went through.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Mike

AppleTV shows you your pictures in whatever order AppleTV decides, and you WILL like it. ha ha.
Seriously, I've tried and failed here. I have no clue how the thing decides what order to show pictures, I don't think it's necessarily in the order I shot them in.. it's more likely the order they get copied over by iTunes. So maybe uploading your photos 1 at a time will enforce a specific order.
Since there's no way for Apple to monetize your personal photos, I don't think they are really interested in developing that part of the software as well as they do for the movie rental and itunes store portions. I've had this device for almost 2 years now and pretty much only the parts that they use to sell me stuff have been improved in that time.
Personally I'm about ready to convert my iTV into a doorstop.
