Facebook post and notifications

Before upgrading to yosemite, i was able to post text msgs to facebook as well as get notifications, now that i have installed yosemite, i can't get notifications, i can't post text mesages to facebook. But i have added my facebook account to internet accounts from system preferences.
Pliz help me. I don't want to login everytime i want to post messages,or to view my facebook notifications.

Ok right now I am REALLY confused. About a week ago, I went to post something on twitter. Naturally, instead of having to go to twitter.com and signing in, I used the Notification center "Click to Tweet" button to make my post. It worked just as you would expect. The little screen popped up, I typed my post and tweeted it.
Just a few days ago, both the Tweet and Facebook Post buttons stopped working. I can click on them all I want, but the little index card-like screen never shows up. I don't know what the issue is, since I had both buttons working a few days ago. To try solving the issue I:
1. Went into the settings for notifications and "Hid" the buttons from Notification center (that didn't work)
2. Removed both my accounts from my laptop and re-added them (that didn't work)
3. Checked to see that the password was correctly typed in... it was (and that still didn't work)
The only thing I have left to do is try shutting down my laptop and restarting it. However I recently had some iPhoto software updates that required the laptop to be restarted. Even though this was after the problem started, it still didn't fix it.
One more thing to note is that in Safari where the "Share" button is... that still works fine. I shared a website I was on to Facebook and it posted successfully. The only problem is the functions in Notification Center.
If anybody has a solution to this issue where the Tweet and Facebook Post buttons stop functioning for Notification center, I would really appreciate it. Thanks

NOTE- One other thing. Notifications from Facebook and Twitter still work, however. For instance, I just got a friend request approved on Facebook and that appeared as it should with the little banner notification as well as it appearing in my list of notifications. Somebody re-tweated my tweet and that appeared there too. The only thing that isn't working is the posting features.

Same thing with me but the Safari thing also doesn't work. I recently changed my twitter username so I thought that might be the problem, but no it isn't. Unfortunately, I can only complain with you, not help you, I apologize, Dan!
What computer+ Mac os are you using? I am MacBook Pro with 10.8.4?

Facebook Posts and Sounds Option

Hi, my question regards the Facebook App and the function of Facebook Posts in the Sounds Menu.
I want to know if this has happened to other people, if its considered normal or if its an actual problem of my Ipad.
The option of Facebook Posts in the Sounds menu, allows you to change the type of tone/sound the Ipad makes when you post something on Facebook. This was confirmed by the Apple technicians.
The problem is my Ipad makes no sound at all when posting to facebook (I recieve alerts/notifications of posts just fine), but when posting no sound is produced at all.
I want to know if other useres of Ipad Air have had the same experience when posting on Facebook. Does your Ipad make any sound when you post?
I have a friend who has an Ipad and the same option appears in the Sounds Menu (Facebook Posts), though she says that her Ipad has never made any sounds when posting to Facebook. However her Ipad belongs to the series of the earliest models that were creating, so i'm not sure how usefull her experience with her Ipad is regarding my case.
To anyone that has an Ipad Air, does you Ipad produce any sound when you post to Facebook?
Cause if i'm not the only one, then the only explanation is that because Facebook App is a Third Party App the issue has nothing to do with problems of Hardware or Software on our Ipads but comes from the Facebook App itself.

Need help with facebook chat and notifications

Hey, guys.
Since I update to software version 10.2.1.2102 I havent been able to recieve facebook chat messages on the blackberry hub. Before the update anytime I had my phone conected to a wireless network it automatically recieved facebook messages on the hub. Now, although I can send messages, and recieve messages if that contact happens to be online, once I close the hub the conversation is gone and I do not get any more messages, only the "new messages from *person*" e-mail after some time.
Also, I do not get notifications about people's birthdays. I get the "Next event in x hours" notification on the lock screen, if I do go into the calendar I see the notification at the top of the page, but it does not ring to warn me of my contacts birthdays.
Can anyone help me with this two problems? Thank you!

Start by resetting your Hub. While in the Hub, swipe down diagonally from the top right corner to the center of your screen four times in a row.

Why after receiving a resend order did my facebook posts and everything else disappear...I have signed off ..signed back on refreshed...what can I do to fix this problem?

I was on facebook accepting gifts from farmville ,when I got a resnd window from firefox ,which I clicked on ..then everything,all posts disappeared....and I can't get it back,signed off back on...refreshed...did a cleanup on my computer ...still nothing.

Try to go through the set up once again.
If that doesnt work, check your virus protection and under internet apps or some such thing, make sure itunes is not blocked from the internet.
Most cases it's not the internet that's the issue it's the program itself, but if this is bugging you, I suggest you at least make sure.

I can't copy and paste text from Word to a Facebook Post since I've been using Firefox. Why am I getting the background code? Internet Explorer lets me copy text from Word to Facebook.

I type my text in Word then open Facebook. I press Control-C to copy this text into my Facebook post and the result is that a lot of background code shows up.

I would use the older version so you can continue working while troubleshooting continues in CC2014, if you haven't uninstalled it yet (and it didn't also lose the ability to copy/paste).
Have you tried any of the usual suspects?

Facebook messages and posts on Skype

I use Skype on my desktop and enjoy reading my Facebook posts and message from Skype. I recently upgraded my Skype to the latest version and now I am only seeing posts and messages from my Facebook friends, but none from the Facebook pages that I follow. Anyone else experiencing this? Does anyone know if there is there a way to rectify this to get all messages?

And solved! At least, my version of the problem is solved: if one whitelists (under the Privacy tab in the custom privacy settings, click "Exceptions..." and add each domain to allow or allow for session) cookies from facebook.com, fbcdn.net, and fbsbx.com (permanent or session), the messaging system works. It doesn't appear to actually try to set any cookies from anywhere other than facebook.com, but the ability to do so automatically if it tries is apparently important for the FB messaging platform.

Facebook sharing and "click to post" not working on Mountain Lion 10.8.3. Any fix available?

Hi all.
Just got a 2nd hand MBP 13" (first Mac) and had latest OS installed (10.8.3).
I used the "click to post" button for Facebook once and it worked... But after that it never worked again (sounds so sad).
I've deleted my account and re-entered it, but that doesn't work.
Twitter shares fine, but in the Notification panel, if I click the Facebook button, then the Twitter button stops working as well.
I think it's something to do with Facebook and the OS (10.8.3) but I don't believe it's a universal problem. A friend's MBP worked fine.
I can share onto Twitter through other means (eg photobooth, Preview), but Facebook doesn't work anywhere.
Any help? Or should I wait for some kind of patch update?

If you look at the "More Like This" box (top right), other threads appear. Opening them usually displays other threads. It appears you are not the only two having this problem.
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

Facebook apparently has their site coded poorly for tablets with touch screens. Try using the Facebook app. It is not perfect either but it is better than view in a browser lately.

I found a step by step guide to connect to twitter from OEID by the below document

We too are looking for a way to import wordpress content into the apple blogs. I've found some WP to blojsam import utilities, but not sure if these would work... or if the apple blogs have any relationship to blojsam anymore.
Any pointers would be appreciated (mysql table info etc.. ?)

FACEBOOK BUSINESS PAGE NOTIFICATIONS

I have a Blackberry curve 9360. It is all configured to receive messages from my personal Facebook page. However I cannot seem to set it up to receive messages from my business page which is managed by the same personal page. Is there any way of doing this???

Facebook no new notifications

This started tonight, All of a sudden when i log into the facebook app and go to notifications it just says you have no notifications, Even when i do, I have done a battery pull, Reinstalled, What else can i do

Go to your facebook on your pc and check your notifications. When I downloaded the 4.5 I had to reset all my notifications. Somehow it reset them! Let us know if that is it!
