Facebook problems

I just install facebook on my blackberry 8530 and it gives me a message saying it can not log me in,then sends me a text message in a different language.I have everything set up in english and i can't get on facebook on my phone.Any Suggestions....

Try deleting the Facebook app, then re-install it. That may fix your problem. If that still doesn't fix your problem, try restarting your Blackberry.
(Before those suggestions, make sure you are using the correct Facebook login information)

Yes! Been living in a hellish nightmare since Sept-Oct. Unlike you, however, Apple has been of no help. They say the iPad is unhackable, plist and crash reports are none of my business and who understands them anyway, their route tracing apps are probably not reliable. The best they could do was wipe the iPad clean. Lost photos they said would be in the cloud....
Almost immediately was back in somebody's VPN, their remote controller, video, audio, working. Got the purple buddy for the first time today. I have been invaded, my iPad no longer feels like my own, I have lost thanksgiving, Christmas, new year trying to track down the invaders, signed up for a Cisco course, set/reset passwords.
I don't know who else to contact... Or what next to do.
I've read similar frustration in other posts, scattered around the support communities. Yours is the only one that has worked toward a solution.
How did you get anyone at apple to look at your logs and acknowledge there is a problem?
Would be happy for a suggestion on how to proceed. Already been the apple store genius and tech on phone route.

Facebook problem

Since the 2.2 update, I am not able to view some photo albums on my DROID Incredible. It seems rather random. I can view some albums, but not others. When I go to someone's Facebook photos and click on an album, it will show the correct number of photos, but then I get an error "No photos found". I can go to other albums and the pictures show up. Is there a setting (couldn't find one) and is anyone else having this problem? Prior to the update, I could view everyone's pictures.

Yes, I updated to the most recent. Happens on both wifi and 3g. Also, I asked my daughter, who also has a DRIOID Incredible, to check and she can access all of the pictures. I thought it might have to do with the size of the albums. But I can access some very large albums and can't access some very small albums. I have thought of uninstalling and reinstalling, but am concerned that could mess up my contacts.

Facebook Problems - Different than iPhoto

Hi, sorry for the long post!!!
First, I'm new to Aperture and was planning on moving from iPhoto. I was testing and have noticed a lot differences when enbabling Facebook inetgration that has now raised a number of questions & concerns.
First, with iPhoto - connecting to your facebook account sync's all existing albums but doesn't put those images in the library, whereas, when doing the same in Aperture, it does. The first problem is that if you decide to import the picture that Aperture synced from Facebook, it doesn't show up, if you have don't allow duplicates checked. The problem is the file is not the same size and further more, if you delete it from your library, it removes it from facebook and won't allow you to undelete (or put back) from the trash.
I guess the bottomline is Facebook integration is really different from iPhoto and unless you only have 1 copy of Aperture and start using Facebook only when you start with Aperture, it might all work right. In my case, I have multiple computers running Aperture and have already sync'd some photos with iPhoto and Facebook.
This is probably not easy to follow and maybe looking for any references on how the Facebook integration with Aperture is really designed to work and the workflow associated with it.

I was having the same problems. I think it is a problem with the way Facebook blocks applications.
I solved the problem by clicking on the iPhoto Uploader hyperlink in the uploader box, telling Facebook to Block the iPhoto Uploader application. I then went back to iPhoto and attempted to upload a photo. After the login screen all I got was a screen that said close. I did this, then went back to the iPhoto Uploader option in Facebook and told it to Allow the application. Then when I selected pictures in iPhoto and clicked on the Facebook button, I logged in as before and was presented with the option to publish the picture.
Now everything works .... my guess is that facebook was rejecting the request from iPhoto to publish, but fails to show an error message. The solution is to disallow then allow the iPhoto Application from Facebook (using the hyperlink in the iPhoto Uploader login box.)

Business Catalyst and Facebook problem

I have seen threads on this subject as well as the articles, but I am not certain the problem was answered. I have added a Facebook "like" button to my Large Product Display (and the button works). The large product display has several upsell/cross-sell items on it.
When I am testing it, I go to my FB page and look to see that it has indeed been posted. However, 2 problems show up.
1. The photo shown is not the main item, but one of the upsell/cross-sell items.
2. The descriptive text is using my footer text as the description.
Where did I go wrong?
I want to use the main photo and the product description (both of which are in the product's information). Is there a modifcation I can make to the module? Is something else needed?

For this you would use the Open Graph Tags, in this case the < og:image > and < og:description >. These are going to be Meta tags you will place in your Large Product Layout, using the image and description tags as the Meta content. Then when the page is loaded BC will place these into the head tag of the website.
Something like this:
<meta property="og:image" content="http://yoursitehere.com/{tag_imagepath}"/> //relative path might work, i tested a absolute path
<meta property="og:description" content="{tag_description}"/>
Another option is to use custom fields to populate these values.

Facebook problems after ICS update on Neo V

Hi,
I have a weird problem since updating, where the facebook app only works when connected to WiFi. I still get notifications , which I assume comes from the facebook in Experia , but when I open the app it thinks i've lost my connection. All other apps seem to work. Last night I installed an alternative facebook client (Seesmic) and it has the same issue.
I'm thinking its some kind of port issue, but I'm a bit stumped as to how I can resolve it.
Has anyone else had this problem ?

I am wondering if you have a WAP access point installed instead of the Internet APN. You can check this by going to:
Main menu > Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names > You may need to check with your current network provider to confirm if what you have selected is WAP or Internet.

Nokia N8 Facebook Problem

Ive just got a Nokia N8 and couldnt be happier with it. Except that every time i try to use the Social Widget it logs me out of Facebook constantly. My Twitter works perfectly, but Facebook will not stay logged in, it even logs out whilst you are using the app?? You'll often only be logged in for no more than 3 seconds and it will log you straight back out again.
HELP!!!!

I have the same phone and the same problem, called my provider and they took me through some BS troubleshooting, firmware reset, app re-install nothing worked. I'm going to smash this phone if I cannot get this corrected.
Doesn't seem to be many people having this problem though?

Aperture 3 and Facebook problem

I'm encountering a weird problem with Facebook upload through Aperture 3.1.
I found a few photos and dragged them into my Facebook albums through Aperture. It says synchronising but seems to public multiple copies of the same photo to the FB album.
If I delete multiples from FB it just copies them again after a while. If I delete them from FB, as soon as I restart Aperture they publish multiple copies of the pics I dragged through originally.
Any solutions?

Fortunately, it's easy enough to export photos from Aperture to a folder and upload manually, but a half-baked implementation shouldn't even be shown as a option.

By default , RFC accept date format of SQL date (yyyy-mm-dd) . If you are using a date picker from WD, it directly set the date in SQL date format. Incase if you are trying to pass date to RFC in some other way you have to convert that into SQL date format before passing.
if you are passing String date of format dd-mm-yyyy , you try this method to convert that to SQL date and pass to your RFC.

YOUTUBE, FACEBOOK PROBLEMS!!!!

I was wondering if anybody has been having issues after the update to mountain lion? Specifically with Safari, Youtube and Facebook. In both my macbook and my iphone.
For starters safari, has been kind of slow and tends to shut down out of nowhere, the loading circle appears and then it just shuts down.
Youtube gets stuck when buffering the videos in both my mac and my iphone 4s, it doesnt matter if it is in my wireless at home or office it happens in both places and in 3g as well.
Facebook as well, after the integration in ios6 and mountain lion, well it has started to not load properly, some functions such as messages might not work or most of the time wont refresh properly in both my mac and iphone.
I truly would apprecite if anyone could give me a solution to the problem, and no it is not the connection to the internet that is causing this, other computers work fine in both my home wireless and at my office.

Well I installed it and now IE says I have that version but videos are still not paying. I still get a black box/screen and when I right click is says "movie not loaded" in greyed out letters. This is on all my browsers still.
I am really frustrated at this point because I was able to see them just a few days ago.

Fixed YouTube and Facebook problems

Until today I had two issues on my iPod Touch 2nd gen:
1. Every time I launched Facebook, I got a message prompting me to "Connect to iTunes to use push notifications" (more or less). Connecting to iTunes did not make the message go away. The app worked as normal, but seeing that message every time was pretty annoying.
2. YouTube was not working. At all. Every time I launched it I got an error saying "Cannot connect to YouTube".
I saw many people on these forums with similar problems, so I thought I'd post how I solved them.
I simply restored the firmware on the iPod Touch. After restoring, I reinstalled all apps and settings from the previous backup. Some people report their problems remain if they restore from backup, but it worked just fine for me.
That's all - restore from backup. Try it before you do anything else.

Aperture share to facebook problem

Aperture 3.4.3 cannot share my photo's to my facebook account. In Aperture "facebook don't recognize" my account (see image). And when this message comes up Aperture hangs and connot be closed (only forced).
What am i doing wrong? I tried several options i found on the internet (delete facebook cookie in safari/restart iMac/delete facebook account in Aperture/etc).
But nothing helped.
Does anyone have the same problem and how did you solve it?

When i make an account in Aperture/preferences/Web i see the following message:
I have checked my facebook account a hundred times, but still no succes.

Iphoto export to facebook problem

The iphoto exporter tool sent x rated pictures to my Facebook account instead of my photos. Why did that happen? I restarted everything and now everything is okay. Do I have a virus on my computer that I need to remove? Where did the p@rn pictures come from?

There are no known viruses in the wild for the Mac so it is unlikely that you have one
Unless those **** photos are somewhere on your Mac then the problem is on the Facebook side - maybe someone has hacked your facebook account

Uploading to Facebook Problems!!! (Unorganized & disappearing tags)

I used to have iPhoto 08 and the facebook uploader was much better btw. But I've been having nothing but problems on the new one. My latest annoyences are:
When I upload photos it uploads them in the wrong order and is very annoying to have to rearange them on Facebook.
After I tag the whole album of all my friends and myself, everytime I update the album with some new photos or whatnot, tags seem to disappear (and I know it's not from ppl removing their tag because I am able to tag them back and even tags of myself disappear)

my main issue is the disappearing tags. I uploaded an album to facebook without any faces tagging. Then friends at the event went nuts, tagging each other etc. Many folks were tagged I dont even know and am not direct friends with. and then for no reason I can figure out, the tags created on facebook disappeared. I think I may have updated the album by adding a pic to it via iphoto, and i know that i editted captions via facebook directly, but i have NO IDEA why the tagging disappeared. this *****. how can i ensure that an iphoto synced album doesnt lose tags created by facebook users??? this has happended twice now to same album and ive given up tagging it for now, but grrr.....

5230 - massive Facebook problems

I am tearing my hair out with Nokia Facebook apps - can anyone help? The original app that comes with the phone worked fine for ages, then suddenly it stopped loading the news feed, freezing on a blank screen (everything lese seemed fine). I reinstalled it from a different source and this seemed to do the trick - but now the problem occurs intermittently, often for a day or more. Reinstalling from Ovi or from the independent source doesn't work.
So I tried Communities for Nokia. Looked good - loaded up fine. But that boots me out and takes me back to the log in screen ALL THE TIME. Typically after about 30 seconds.
I have the Snaptu app which works okay but is pig ugly - it's designed more for older phones. A touch-screen phone shouldn't have to use something so basic. Does anybody have any ideas about solutions or alternative apps? I wonder if there's something I can do to my Facebook account as when I switch to the wife's, the original software loads the news feed fine (though obviously there could be problems if I used it for any length of time.)
I love my phone but I'm mad on Facebook and these issues are startting to make me regret choosing Nokia - a shame as I've always defended them to the hilt in the past.

Hi, you could try socially or save the facebook mobile site as a bookmark . I also use Opera mini and save facebook as one of my homescreen tiles ! Good Luck
