Facebook profile pictures won't update.

I'm trying to add profile pictures to my contacts. (Contacts are hosted on Google btw). When I click "Update profile photos" under my Facebook account in the Internet Accounts area of System Preferences, it doesn't seem to update. It just jumps right to saying "0 contacts updated". It's like it's not communicating with Facebook or something. I've readded my contacts, readded the Facebook account, restarted, and reset my internet, nothing's worked.

With the latest Skype 7.0 version, profile pictures will not be displayed if the colour depth of the monitor screen is set to less than 32-bit.

Please, run the DirectX diagnostics tool (32-bit option).
Go to Windows Start and in the Run box type dxdiag.exe and press the OK button. This will start the DirectX diagnostics program. Run this diagnostics and save the results to a file. Please, attach this file to your post.
Be aware that you will have to zip this file before attaching it here.

Facebook profile pictures not showing up in my Contacts

For some reason only two or three of my contacts show their facebook profile pictures, even though probably 75% of my contacts have facebook photos... why would the pics only show for a few contacts? And how do I fix it? I've checked FB settings and phone settings, but I must be missing something!

You can easily delete your Facebook account from the #Z10, reboot and set it up yet again and allow those pictures to sync.

I would like to change my iPhoto resoluttion on Mac. The pictures are too big for emailing and chaning my Facebook profile picture.

I would like to change my iPhoto to a smaller resolution on my Mac desktop. The pictures need to be smaller to email. As is, I can only get 5 pictures per page on AOL. Also, I'm not able to change my Facebook profile picture for the same reason. I didn't have this problem on Windows PC. Can someone please help?

Facebook Profile Picture On Safari.

My facebook profile picture is a scan from an old photograph. In the thumbnail it looks fine like the original color picture, but when I click on the picture it is black and white. This happens only on Safari. Any idea why this is happening? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I tried looking at the photo in Firefox and Chrome and both are the same. More like a sepia tone, not color.
Browsers may not render colors all the same, which may explain why it's coming up more sepia then color in Safari.
You could try importing the photo into iPhoto then try using the filters to add more contrast and try more black and then white levels as well as practicing with colors.
You can export photos directly from iPhoto from the menu bar. Click Share > Facebook.

Syncing Facebook profile picture.

I've tried doing this however i'm still not getting Faceboil profile images. Does anyone have any suggestions?

There has been a problem with this feature in recent times due to facebook, but certain apps in the app store allow you to still do this such as facedown.

"Via iOS" will show if you "share" a photo from the Photos app. It will not show if you post the photo from within the Facebook app.

Facebook profile photos missing in contacts

When I had ios7 installed on my iPhone 5, my linked contacts would have their Facebook profile pictures as contact photos. So, for example, when they called it was their Facebook photo which came up on the screen.
Since updating to ios8 this is no longer the case. Only the contacts I've assigned photos to show up. The other contacts still seem to be linked, just not the profile photos.
Can anyone help?

I have the same issue. When I sync contacts in Facebook it updates 0. No matter what I do the pictures won't update.

I recently sent an email to a friend, who is NOT a Facebook friend, who has a yahoo email account, and my Facebook profile picture appeared next to the email. My privacy settings on FB only allow FB friends to see my photo. Photos to from iPad camera to Facebook profile

First you take the picture and upload it to Facebook by going to one of your albums(not tagged photos or profile) and press the plus button on the to right corner.
Then you click on the pic so it looks big and tap and hold onto it and a sign will appear that says make profile pic

Sometimes, users will opt to have their Profile Pictures hidden from all but their accepted contacts. In that case, you wouldn't be able to see those profile pictures. Sometimes, however, profile pictures won't be the most reliable ways when you consider that they can be copied and used to impersonate another user. I wouldn't rule it out that it could happen, albeit a low chance for ordinary people, but it can happen.
When you add someone, the best way to know that the person you're adding is genuinely the person you intend to add, you will want to clarify with the actual person their Skype Username. For example, there will always be many… many people named John Smith, but, if they joined Skype, each of them would have their own, unique username that you wouldn't find doubles of.
Keep in mind that their display name, which may be displayed instead of their username, is not always the same as their username. When checking for the correct username, check the value under the field "Skype Name" for best results. When in doubt, check their other online usernames - it's a common trend to see Skype names match up with other services' usernames.
If you're still having trouble finding the right person, consider searching for the specific person using their e-mail address. In addition, if you're having trouble finding them, consider having them find you.

Updating Facebook Contact Profile Pictures

Is there anyway to update the facebook contact profile pictures? Is there a button where i can press sync and it syncs them?

At this time the only option to do this is with a third party application. The name of the application is SyncMyPix. Keep in mind all applications are from third party developers and are download at your own risk.

I can no longer receive my email through firefox. Also my facebook account doesn't show some of the profile pictures show a different person on someone's name. It appears this is a firefox issues as when I go to explorer it is not a problem at all.

It seems that through firefox I cannot receive my emails through charter.net and have always been able to before. Also, on my facebook page, profile pictures aren't showing up on some people and on some people a totally different person is showing up. It seems to be a firefox issue because when I get on internet explorer everything is fine? How can I get this problem taken care of? Can my 8.0 be updated.

This issue can be caused by corrupted cookies or cookies that are blocked.
*check the permissions on the about:permissions page and in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.
