FaceBook upload not working
Hi there,
When trying to add photos to either an existing Facebook album, or a new album, from iPhoto (version 9.6(910.29)) I'm receiving an error message window saying 'Facebook didn't recognise the login information you entered for the account "account name" An unknown error occurred. Please try again later'
I'm running OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 (14C109) on both my iMac and MacBookPro.
The first time this happened I reckoned that I must have typed by password in incorrectly so I changed my password - just in case. Using my new password (which works when I log into Facebook etc) I am still getting this error.
I did look at the previous posts on similar topics. The latest post was 2013... I suspect there's been plenty of upgrades and changes since then. Their fixes didn't work and I still have the issue.
Any help appreciated.

I've sorted it out... The permissions in FaceBook have to be updated to allow apps to run.

Facebook is not working well on Firefox for two days now?
For two days now, Facebook is not working well on Firefox...all other web sites are fine, Facebook is not loading like it was, prior to yesterday, there were no problems. Facebook is working fine on Internet Explorer, but not on Firefox. What's up?

Facebook birthdays not working after ios7 update?
Did you always have the same problem or is it new? I always used to be able to get Facebook to work on wifi with no issues for months. I downloaded the new software update for Revolution, and all of a sudden it seems like they blocked the Facebook app somehow unless you're on 4G. It really sux because I can't get into my Zynga games either that are tied to FB! Wish someone at Verizon could be aware of this and fix the problem.
Also, interestingly, when I try to log into the Facebook site with the browser I am directed to an error page. The browser works fine for every other site though. Really seems like there was some kind of block instated that will no longer let you use Facebook on a wifi connection. -
I just bought an iPad mini and installed Facebook. NOT working. Only messages, but sporadically. Anyone know what's the deal?
Weird... Turned the iPad off and back on, while waiting on the line to be connected to an apple support specialist, now it works.

There are bunch of people with the same problem on that forum. Advise to wait until new IOS comes out on 19.
When there are so many people with same problem, usually points to server problems, possibly updating or getting ready for IOS 6 -
Facebook app not working on wifi?
I have the galaxy s5 so does my wife and daughter, and when we are at home we hook up to the wifi, and try to use that to save on data usage. for some reason it does not load photos, comments and videos for a long time. the laptop, tablets, and tv all work fine off of the wifi. we have the same issue in public wifi. any reason?
Yes the pages load fine on data. But even games I have that use internet
don't always work right. But if I turn off the wif i. it works fine. I am
beginning to wonder if I made a mistake leaving sprint.

hi i have bought the new ipad 3 wifi only push notification does not work only for facebook everything else push notification works fine.
its on ios 5.1.1.You aren't the only one. I now have NO sound at all in FB with YouTube or even just uploaded videos. Surely we won't have to wait for an date!

I am tired of my facebook not working. It has been almost a 5 months since I had this problem where it keeps saying:

Google Chrome cannot reach the website. This is typically caused by network issues, but can also be the result of a misconfigured firewall or proxy server.
Now I get the same result on all my browsers. I have tried many many solutions from removing cache, proxies, hosts.. Nothing works. Even changing my DNS server to 8.8.8.8. Please someone help me lol and yes facebook works on all the computers in my house except mine
Thank you!You, or someone using your computer, hacked the system to block certain servers, perhaps unknowingly. The file modified is /etc/hosts. Some commercial "anti-virus" software, such as "Avast," may modify this file. If you've installed any such software, I suggest that you remove it according to the developer's instructions before continuing.
The easiest way to fix the hosts file is to restore it from a backup that predates the modification, or to copy the unmodified file from another Mac. If you can't do that, then do as below. Please read this whole message before doing anything.
Back up all data. This is a simple procedure, but if you don't follow the instructions exactly, you could be left with an unbootable system. In that case, you'll have to restore from a backup or reinstall OS X.
If you have more than one user account, you must be logged in as an administrator.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below to select it:
open -a TextEdit /etc/hosts
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C).
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). A TextEdit window should open. At the top of the window, you should see this:

If the contents of the TextEdit window are as described, close it, then enter the following command in the Terminal window in the same way as before (by copy and paste):
sudo sed -i~ '11,$d' /etc/hosts
This time, you'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. Confirm. Quit Terminal. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
That will fix the hosts file. There is now a copy of the old hosts file with the name "hosts~" in the same folder as "hosts". You can delete the copy if you wish. -
Why is my YouTube upload not working in CC 2014.0.1?
I understand that the MOOV Atom issue was supposed to be fixed in the new version of PPro/AME released yesterday.
New to the issue? The MOOV (or Movie) Atom is a piece of metadata that belongs at the very top of a streaming MP4 file. In the previous iteration of PPro/AME, the YouTube upload was a two-pass VBR process and it put the MOOV atom at the END of the file; a third-party software, MP4 FastStart, was required to move the MOOV. Then, YouTube uploads went without a hitch.
"Without a hitch" means: YouTube acknowledges your upload and delivers the URL at which the video will appear when finished.
There is NO "Video/Audio Quality" warning! That warning, indicating that the video you're uploading is not a streaming video, is a sign of trouble.
I upload a 1 1/2 minute file and it appears to work perfectly i.e. no warning messages.
However, when I upload the full 2 hours 15 minutes, it warns. The warning is not without teeth: my first upload of my large video was still not ingested and processed by YouTube after 4 hours. It would display...but this lovely work that I had uploaded at 1080p was showing in 360p.
An additional issue is that the bit rate (8Mbps in the older version) has been bumped up to 16, making for huge upload files (literally double). Even after cutting the bit rate back in half to 8, it warns; I didn't complete the upload but suspect it still would not display properly.
I'm now uploading the work separately by act (1 hour 15 and 1 hour for the two acts, respectively). If that doesn't work, I will need to uninstall and carefully re-install the software, not allowing the update to install (I'm told by TS that this is possible), and then get my work done. I'd obviously rather not have to do that. I'll actually do the uploads to YouTube this time and see if they process fully, whether or not I get the "Audio/Video Quality" message in the beginning.
If anyone has any ideas (other than pointing out to the engineers via bug report that they seem to have messed up) I'm eager to hear.

Typeahead function in search field inside Facebook does not work in Firefox 13.0
Until 3 or 4 days ago, cool typeahead function inside search field inside Facebook always worked in Firefox. Now since 4 days ago, it does not work. But the typeahead function works inside search field inside Facebook on Internet Explorer BUT I prefer to use Firefox and do NOT want to switch to IE!!!
Is there anything I can do to regain that function?

The behavior did not start with Firefox 13. I actually upgraded to Firefox 13 in hope it would solve the problem that happened in previous older versions. It failed to solve the problem.
It had been working for 3 years on Firefox until last or 2 weeks ago.
Regarding search, I mean by "type-ahead" which is that FB's search field offers a drop down list of possible search results as I type. For example, if I type S, it will show list of all people or groups with first letter S. If I type sk, it will show list of anything such as people or groups that starts with Sk, and so on. This is most valuable time saving technique to look for my pals to say hi or groups that I do not belong to but want to read their news or info.
I think it is Facebook's programming problem but if I ask them, they will point to Firefox's fault by saying that it works for my Internet Explorer but not for Firefox and I do not want to get involved into tug war between Facebook and Mozilla.
I am just bummed that the valuable time saving search method no longer exists on Firefox.

I dont know why its not working...I've used this same script in the same way in another website and it works fine.Check with your host for permission settings. If it works locally, and on other servers, then the code works, it just may not work in the particular
environment your host has set up.
