Facebook uploads too large?

Hello all,
Is there a way to control the size of the upload to Facebook? I just did a test upload and my images were available on Facebook in a size much bigger than I would like (2048x 1357) via Facebook's new "Download in High Resolution" option.
I just want to share the image with my "friends"--not give it away!
Is there a way to control (i.e. shrink) the size that is uploaded to Facebook?

I guess Aperture hasn't caught up with this new FB feature, but it also means that A3 has been putting full size previews on FB servers for THEM to steal even before this feature.
"Lucky" for me I have to export and reimport images in order to add a copyright watermark so all of mine come from my export preset for FB which is set to fit within 1024 x 1024 .
So now we need to ask for the ability to control size in addition to the ability to add a watermark to our FB exporter feature request.

About all that can be suggested is to use the feedback form and talk to Apple. They have communicated with some users, trying to get more info to find out just what the battery drain is so they can fix it. Unfortunately with the myriad of operating systems, apps and individual tweaks, there could be several combinations of settings that are draining the battery.
My personal suspicion is that it has something to do with iCloud and the wifi syncing. (My ipad, before I changed the setting, was reaching out to find a sync on a regular basis. And it may still be doing so, however I set my iTunes to not automatically open to keep my device from trying to sync several times in an evening...not to mention the constant aggravation of iTunes opening regularly)
That said, I could be wrong and it could be an app that users have in common, or several apps.

Problem upload too large file in a Content Area ORA-1401

I have a customer who is trying to upload a file with a too large name in a content area.
If the filename is 80 characters, it works fine.
But if the filename is upper or 80 characters the following error ocurred:
ORA-01401: inserted value too large for column
DAD name: portal30
PROCEDURE : PORTAL30.wwv_add_wizard.edititem
URL : http://sbastida-us:80/pls/portal30/PORTAL30.wwv_add_wizard.edititem
I checked the table: WWV_DOCUMENT and it have a column name: FILENAME is defined like VARCHAR2(350).
If i run a query on this table, the filename column stores the filename of the file uploaded.
Is this a new bug? may i fill this bug?
Do you have any idea about this issue?

The following restrictions apply to the names of documents that you are uploading into the repository:
Filenames must be 80 characters or less.
Filenames must not include any of these characters: \ / : * ? < > | " % # +
Filenames can include spaces and any of these characters: ! @ ~ & . $ ^ ( ) - _ ` ' [ ] { } ; =

IPhoto Facebook Upload of Large Panorama

I just uploaded a panorama to facebook. iPhoto shows the picture in the facebook album, but it does not appear in the album when you look on facebook. The file is about 30mb so it might be a size issue, but iPhoto should error out and say so rather than just act like the picture made it to facebook. The iPhoto integration with facebook seems very buggy and depends on a lot of unintuitive steps to really work correctly.

iPhoto menu -> Provide iPhoto Feedback is the route to the developers.You can issue your instruction abou what iPhoto should do there.
That said, sounds like a Facebook issue to me... Perhas you should issue some instructions to them too.

Pictures in Facebook are too large and content is cut off, is there a way to adjust.

While using my I pad 2 for Facebook the pictures of postings are huge and some of the content gets cut off. This doesn't happen on a laptop is there a way to adjust size of content so entire post can be seen.

Don't use the app.
Unfortunately, the app has had the photos bug for months or more. I access facebook via safari and find it a much better experience.

IPad Facebook images too large

All the photos posted on my iPad Facebook newsfeed are magnified and cut off at the edges. I haven't been able to identify a solution.

It's with the facebook app. Been that way since their update a few weeks ago.
Right now I've been abandoning their app and just accessing the site via safari. You can get either the regular facebook app or the mobile site m.facebook.com
there may also be third party facebooks apps out there that may work better.

Upload Too Large

My daughter is trying to enter an on-line contest where she has to upload a photograph onto a web-site and then put the image into their program and then put the image on a box that contains their product and their name etc so it fills the box size. The problem is that when she uploads it , it appears .... blown up or zoomed in on the box and not as the whole original photograph uploaded. We can't figure out how to make the photograph she is trying to use so that it appears it it's original size and not zoomed in one on section .. any help is appreciated and .... Hope that makes sense !

If the people running the contest had any sense, they'd have specified the dimensions of the image in pixels, not inches. With what they've given you, all you can do is approach the right size by repetitive trial-and-error, reducing the resolution of the image a little more each time until you get pretty close to the way you want it to look. You can bet that lots of other entrants are having exactly the same problem, because the contest sponsors haven't provided the information you need.

Error message below. The preview is fine . I can discount the first 2messages as its a new computer so plenty of disk space and upload doesn't seem to be interrupted. I have uploaded to iphoto before. have tried to upload 3times with the same error message. I had to photo my slides with a Kaiser Baas photo maker , which apparently doesn't scan but takes photos in megapixels of the slides. I am wondering now if the format is incompatible though they are jpg files or the colour type wrong. The image files are around 1-3 mb each and 72 ppi. I think I will now scan them properly with a scanner to 300dpi anyway to improve quality.
Apple talks about image files not being too big for uploading but gives no sizing of what too big is?
Error message
1. Upload Error. Loss of connection or file corruption during order upload may cause an incomplete order. Resubmitting your order usually resolves this issue.
2. Low Disk Space. If your computer is running on low disk space, your files may be assembled incorrectly. Create more space by deleting unused files.
3. Unreadable PDF file or image files. Files are sometimes assembled incorrectly due to CMYK or Grayscale color space. Use the RGB color space for best results.

Deployment error "file could not be uploaded because it is too large"

I'm trying to deploy a WAR application of 220 mb and the upload page fails the the error "The file could not be uploaded because it is too large". Is there any way to workaround this problem ?. What is the limit for a WAR application ?.

Uploading flash, how much is too large?

Hi, I am trying to create a web site suing adobe Dreamweaver and flash, for the first time.
I am trying to upload a webpage that contains swf.
When I check mu site I could only see a blank page with the webpage title at the top of the page.
When I contacted the webhosting company they say they can see the message that a newer version of adobe flash player is required.
From my computer I cannot even see the message.
The helpdesk person said there are possibly two reasons for it. Either there is a problem with the code in flash or it is too large.
The size of files I uploaded as follows:
HTML: 4KB
Scripts: 37 KB
(The size of swf is 29KB which I did not upload)
Are they too large to upload? If so, what is the maximum size of file can I upload on a webpage?
I know they are basic questions but I am trying to create website on my own.
I would appreciate some friendly advice.

If the html page is supposed to contain the Flash file, then you need to uploadc the Flash file (swf). html pages are simply text files that define content. If any of that content happens to be another file, such as an image or sound or swf file, then you need to also upload those files.

Video Sharing - Videos upload issue to Vimeo because files are now too large post iOS7.

Videos taken prior to iOS7 update uploaded without issues to Vimeo. Vidoes taken after iOS7 update will not upload because videos are too large. I am videoing the same type of activities for the same duration post iOS7 as I was pre-iOS7. What has changed with iOS7 that is causing my videos to be saved as larger files? You're going to have to edit them on a computer before uploading them, unless you can convince Vimeo to change their limits.

TFTP file too large for upload

I'm trying to upgrade my router via TFTP. I keep getting this File too large for TFTP error. I'm using the recommended TFTP server from Solarwinds.
There does not seem to be any setting in the server to let large file pass, It's the first time I see that, but this is the biggest IOS I had to upload. I had no problem sending the last IOS witch is only about 3MB smaller.

I obviously don't have that book and I'm not going to buy it today, Someone else must have seen this known problem. Any solutions? Redirect to another page perhaps?

When uploading file af:inputFile in case of larger file as limited in web.xml then this message appears:
Warning: The file upload failed
The file could not be uploaded because it is too large
How to localize this message (maybe some from http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E15523_01/apirefs.1111/e15862/toc.htm?) or how to catch this error to show custom message?

This happens from 2 Win 7 computer and 1 Win XP computer sync'd. Without the Add Block Plus being sync'd everything works.
