Facebook url won't see page in muse's Facebook like widget

In muse I have the correct URL for the page I'm trying to link to the site
i have tried it with the http:// https:// and without (just www.) and still no recognition of the fb page
I have used another fb page and it picks up the followers and the widget works perfectly but the page I'm creating the site for is just refusing to be recognized
has anyone else run into this and how did you fix this?

Change language in muse facebook like widget

I purchased a muse parallax template and the origin of it was in a non-english speaking country (not sure which, Spanish or Portugese perhaps). The page is in English, but the facebook like widget and the twitter follow widget both have the language of origin in them. I have changed the language in the preferences, no change in the widgets though. Suggestions??

Pop up box for Facebook Like widget goes down - need it to go up

I have put in the Facebook like button onto my website from the Muse Widgets library. My problem is that the widget is at the bottom of my website and when someone likes it the dialog box opens below the the end of the site - how can I make the dialog box open above the widget instead of below?

Facebook like widget not showing up in safari

Works fine in chrome, firefox and IE. Tried resetting safari, no luck.

I'm trying to create a Facebook like button for my website. I have followed the instructions on the facebook developer page, pasted the code into my HTML Snippet and it's not working. Any thoughts?

I had the same problem - the issue I found is that facebook have changed the widget generation process - hence doesn't work with iweb.
anyway - for those of you looking for a more concise facebook like widget, use this code:

Fix Facebook like issue - comment window hides behind other objects

On my site htt://cocos-locos.com is a Facebook like widget. When a user clicks on the widget, the comment app hides behind a text box on the page. I tried moving it and no matter where this happens, BUT ONLY ON MY IPAD MINI. It opens in a pop-up window on the computer. Any ideas on how to fix this?

So, when a new file was analyzed and bpm with key values written into 'comment' field, Windows Explorer don't show it.
That field is not a default column. Do you have it checked in Details view? Right-click a column header in Details view or use Alt-V A (apparently) to add columns. Heh. Then there is a different UI depending on how you opened that
dialog. More... for the right-click method Choose columns... for the View, Add columns method. YMMV. Who knew?

How can I delete the facebook "like" code?

I need help deleting the facebook "Like" widget that I installed in my website. The button does not appear, all I get is a large retangular space at the point where I inserted the button. The code view gives me a message that says the "Like" code cannot be changed, and I don't know how to delete it. I am not very knowledgable in HTML, but I can find my way around inside the code (a little).

The easiest way to delete any code is to work in Split screen and then to click on the facebook icon in the design view window ONCE and this will highlight the related code in the code view which can now be deleted. As you can find your way in the HTML code this is the best way I can think of.
Hope this gives you the idea.

Disk Crash, reinstall, won't see previously published pages.

So my HD crashed and I had to reformat and reinstall the system and iLife. Now iWeb won't let me create a new page and it won't see the pages that are up on my .mac account. I don't really care about the old pages. i just want to get rid of them and start over, but iWeb won't work now.
Any ideas?

Your iWeb data is stored, not in your actual html files, but in a file called Domain.sites which is stored in your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder. You should backup this file whenever you make big changes to your site, because if it gets lost or damaged, you will have to start all over. If you want to work on your site on another computer, copy this file to a thumb drive to move it around.
Since it sounds like you don't have this file, my suggestion would be to make a new site with the EXACT SAME site name as the old site, then Publish ALL to .Mac. This should wipe out the old site.

The Index page will not show the title with Bookmarking and the Facebook "like" or "share"

When you utilize the Facebook Like button on your Muse created web pages, it carries the title over (from the Page Properties) and works fine, except for the Index. This also applies to bookmarking pages. When the Facebook like is used (and the sub window for Facebook opens) it is titled “Home” that’s it. When the index page is bookmarked it also says “Home”. Why won’t the whole title be used? Is there any way to correct this?

I'm unable to reproduce the problem! FB Like button seems to be working well on Mobile layouts as tested on iPhone's Safari and Chrome. If the issue persists at your end, please share the page URL.

Placing a pdf on a page in Muse.

Hello,
Is there any way to place a pdf on a page in Muse so that it is plainly viewable on that page?
I have tried converting it to an image such as a png but the quality goes down and it's not suitable.
I know how to add a pdf with a link for downloading, but that's not what I'm looking for in this case.

Unfortunately, PDF is not a web file. It's media. It requires end users to have apps and browser plug-ins installed at their end to view it. If they don't have the necessary apps or their system settings are configured to only open PDFs in Acrobat, they won't see the file in their browser -- no matter what you do. IOW, there are too many variables which you cannot control.
The best you can do is provide a link to the file and let people handle PDF as they see fit. As a courtesy, post a small thumbnail image to give users some idea of what the PDF contains along with the file size so folks can make an informed decision about whether or not to download the file.

I need to know how to add a Facebook Like box to my Muse home page. When obtaining this code, there are two items of code to paste:
1. Include the JavaScript SDK on your page once, ideally right after the opening <body> tag.

Thanks for the response. I inserted the #2 code - with my Facebook page actual web URL rather than "(your_page_url)" - in the Edit HTML box as you suggested. A small grayish HTML box appeared on the page in Design view.
In Preview, however, there is no visible indication of a Facebook Like button.

That was helpful, but I'm still having problems.
I've plonked a Facebook logo on the page.
BUT I can't seem to give it a hyperlink to my Facebook page.
When I select the logo and then use the tool bars or the box thingy. It won't allow me to paste in the URL.
It looks a bit ugly having a Facebook logo and the text of the URL beside it.
Is there a way of making the Facebook logo have a hyperlink to its URL so you just click on the logo and it takes you to the facebook page.

Extension Manager won't See My products?

Hello,
I am running windows 7 64bit and have the CS5 Master suite. Due to low disk space I installed the suite on an external drive which the computer saw as (I) Later I installed a Card reader and it changed all my drive letters, so now the hard drive is seen as (L). For awhile a was able to use Photoshop or any of the programs until I figured out how to change the path in properties to go to the (L) Drive instead of looking for a non existant (I).
Now I can open the products, but the Extension manager won't see them at all and when I try to install a new purchase or download I get this: http://prntscr.com/spmmq and this is the version I am using http://prntscr.com/spn0a, I do have CS6 as well, but it crashes 2-3 times a day from random things and I have a lot of stuff my photoshop has to load, so it takes almost 1.5 hours to get back up after a crash.. grrr!!!
I tried downloading CS5 Extension manager to reinstall it, but when I did that it was forcing the installation the the non existant drive (I) I couldn't change the path and when I went to unistall the Extension Manager, there was no option for it to be removed??
So the question is... is there a way to have my extension manager find the products on the (L) drive???

?It`s posible to see pages (or others)in the place of my URL portlet?
I'm working with EA in NT and I have a URL portlet published in a page. I can see the page refers by the URL portlet directly in my page, and it's OK for me. But when I try to navigate trough others "URL pages", Portal show me this pages in full Internet Explorer window (and now I don't see my page. Only the "URL page").

I think I understand what you are saying. When you click on links from within the URL Portlet, you leave your Oracle Portal page.
The URL Portlet retrieve the content from a URL and displays it within a portlet window. All the URL links within this external page are active and have not been altered to work with 9iAS Portal. At this time, when you click on the links within the URL portlet you will leave your Portal page.
