Facebook video cannot click adobe flash player pop up

When recording a facebook video on a friend's wall, an adobe flash player message pops up asking if I allow facebook.com to have access to my camera and microphone, with the options of allow or deny.  In order to record a video, I must hit allow, but I am unable to click anything at all.  Does anyone know how to solve this issue?  I read a few forums from 1-2 years ago where people had the same issue, but no one had a solution.  Can anyone help?

FOUND A SOLUTION FOR ALL THOSE WHO HAVE THIS PROBLEM:
Note the following workaround (far from sufficient for customers, but good enough for feature development): Go to System Preferences > Flash Player > Camera and Mic > Camera and Microphone Settings by Site... Find the site you want to allow and change "Ask me" to "Allow". This bypasses the dialog and allows recording to proceed normally.
this seems to be a common problem with lion and adobe. i did this and it fixed my problem!

For some reason or another when I try to send my friend a video message or photo on Facebook, I can't. I can see the screen in the Adobe Flash Player that asks if I want to give the site permission to access my camera, but I can't click on anything. I've tried this in both Chrome and Safari and neither works, even after I installed Adobe Flash Player from the Adobe website. Any ideas on how to fix this?

  • I cannot watch any videos that require adobe flash player. I have tried to download their latest version but nothing happens. Any ideas? I can no longer even view my facebook videos.

I cannot view any video clips requiring adobe flash player such as my facebook videos. When I download the adobe flash player nothing happens and it continually says to download. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?  I am using MacBook Pro O SX. Thank you.

Just to check, in the directory /Library/Internet Plug-Ins do you see the file Flash Player.plugin?
And after reading your last post I have to ask, did you install the plugin after you downloaded it?  Of course anwering my first question will answer this question.

    Hi glennc49009213,
Can You please attach a screenshot [ How to post a screenshot in the forum ], followed by the steps you are performing while uninstalling Flash Player? As the Uninstaller we provide is a universal uninstaller, which works on both 32-bit and 64-bit Win-OS and should not prompt any user in either of the cases.

  • Safari: How view video clips without Adobe Flash Player?

In OS 10.7.2 and with Safari 5.1.2 or Firefox 8.x  how does one view video without installing Adobe Flash Player?  On such websites as that of the New York Tines, I get a "Your System Status" dialogue box that says: "We're sorry!  You need to update your Flash Player."  A link appears in the dialogue box to "Get Adobe Flash Player."   What options does one have?
    Thanks for considering my question.
    Respectfully, NormN

Macs now do not ship with Adobe Flash installed. Did you buy your Mac with Lion or is your Mac the previous generation?  You have to do the installation yourself.  Click Get Adobe flash player.

  • Why does the Adobe Flash Player pop up keep on appearing when using the browser. It never used to before the upgrade to the latest version.

Since updating to the latest version of Firefox the Adobe Flash player pop up continually pops up whether the page needs flash player or not. It even shows for a text page.
    It is very annoying

You can set the default in "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Plugins" and change that for the Shockwave Flash plugin to "Always Activate".
You can inspect and manage permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab via these steps:
*Click the "[[Site Identity Button|Site Identity Button]]" (globe/padlock) on the location/address bar
*Click "More Information" to open "Tools > Page Info" with the Security tab selected
*Go to the Permissions tab (Tools > Page Info > Permissions) to check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab

  • Adobe Flash Player pop-up, how do I get rid of it forever?

Ho do I rid my computer of the Adobe Flash Player pop-up?

I'm going to make an assumption based on scarce information.
The update alerts are fake, and are intended to dupe you into installing malware or disclosing private information so that your identity can be stolen.
You might get the alerts when visiting a website that has been hacked. Don't visit the site again. If applicable, notify the site administrator of the problem, but don't send email to an unknown party.
If you get the alerts when visiting more than one well-known website, such as Google, YouTube, or Facebook, then they're almost certainly the result of an attack on your router that has caused you to get false results from looking up the addresses of Internet servers. Requests sent to those sites are redirected to a server controlled by the attacker. It's possible, but less likely, that the DNS server used by your ISP has been attacked, but you should assume that the router is at fault until proven otherwise.
The router's documentation should tell you how to reset it to the factory default state. Usually there's a pinhole switch somewhere in the back. It may be labeled "RESET." Insert the end of a straightened paper clip or a similar tool and press the button inside for perhaps 15 seconds, or as long as the instructions specify.
After resetting the router, quit the web browser and relaunch it while holding down the shift key. From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
and confirm. Do the equivalent if you use another browser. Open the Downloads folder and delete anything you don't recognize.
Then go through the router's initial setup procedure. I can't be specific, because it's different for every model. The key points are these:
    1. Don't allow the router to be administered from the WAN (Internet) port, if it has that option. Most do.
    2. Set a strong password to protect the router's settings: at least ten random upper- and lower-case letters and digits. Don't use the default password or any other that could be guessed. Save the password in your keychain. Any password that you can remember is weak.
    3. If the router is wireless, or if you have a wireless access point on the network, use "WPA 2 Personal" security and set a different strong password to protect the network. If the router or access point doesn't support WPA 2, it's obsolete and must be replaced.
During the time the router was compromised, you were redirected to bogus websites. If you ever connected to a secure site and got a warning from your browser that the identity of the server could not be verified, and you dismissed that warning in order to log in, assume that your credentials for the site have been stolen and that the attacker has control of the account. This warning also applies to all websites on which you saw the fake update alerts.
Check the router manufacturer's website for a firmware update.
If you downloaded and installed what you thought was a software update, ask for instructions.

  • How do I view videos that need Adobe Flash Player on my iPad?

How do I view videos that need Adobe Flash Player on my iPad? If this device does not support Adobe Flash?

Skyfire is Not the answer! Bad reviews and you have to pay to try.
I used Puffin Free Browser. Worked perfectly with a 14 day free trial for Flash. It worked well for Flash videos so I would buy the full version.

  • Can I broadcast multiple video chats using Adobe flash player and "RED5 flash server"?

    Hello...
I've just joined today, and I had a question about RED5 & Adobe... Does anyone know if it is possible to broadcast multiple video  chats using Adobe flash player from "RED5 flash server"?
    Thanks,

I am not sure whether any one of us has experience with RED 5 server - it would be best if you can post of RED 5 forums and try to get solution to your query. If you have any related query with respect to FMS - please feel free to post again.

  • Cannot load Adobe Flash Player.  Can't view u-tube etc.

Cannot load Adobe Flash PLayer.  I get "blocked-plugin" message.

MSN is the Microsoft Network (fun fact: I was a Microsoft Network technical support rep. back in 1996, before 56k modems were a thing.).  The MSN browser is really Internet Explorer under the hood.
Firefox and Internet Explorer user different versions of Flash Player.  You have to install one for each browser.
Using MSN or Internet Explorer, go here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer
    Follow the prompts
    Everything should work after that

  • Adobe Flash Player Pop Up when going to Internet Explorer

I am continuously getting an Adobe Flash Player pop up when going to Internet Explorer.  It says "A website wants to open web content using this program on your computer".  This program will open outside protected mode etc. etc.  If you do not trust this site do not open.  This pops up every second.  Is this a virus and if so how do I get rid of it?

My level is at Medium High.  I unchecked the “Enable Protected Mode”.  Is this safe?  The pop up is no longer popping up.

  • Adobe Flash Player pop-up screens are blocking correct operation of IE

As soon as I start up Internet Explorer, Flash Player pop-up screens start appearing. After selecting the No-button it disappears and re-appears again and so on. Finally a request for an installation permit screen pops-up and IE is switched off and restarting again. Is there something I can do?

    Sorry Pat,
I first tried another option, removing and re-installing Flash Player, and
that solved my problem so far. I am not able to send you screen views as
they don't appear any more this moment.
    Thanks for your effort

  • I cannot download adobe flash player to my comuter

This problem has been occurring and reoccurring since November 2012, I receive a message on my desktop stating that I need to update my adobe flash player. I click to do this and am transported to the adobe flash player download site. I click the "download now" tab and receive the download instructions page. When the popup window appears I select "save file" as instructed. I am then transported to the Firefox download list where I double click the flash player install highlighted in blue. The next pop up window asks if I want to "run file". I click "run file" and nothing happens. (alternatively I get a pop up window that asks me to continue if I am the administrator and I click "continue" and nothing happens) The pop up windows previously mentioned list the source of the download as C:/users/"my name"/downloads and when I click "details" it says (sic) C:/users/"my name"/ downloads remove C:/file/users etc. Sometimes I will get a message saying file cannot be found at C:/users etc. Of course not, because the file is in firefox downloads and not in my user download file. Is there a way to fix this? The flash player is not listed under firefox plugins so I cannot disable it or change it. Incidentally, other download files for updates etc are working without issues, I did have to disable the adobe reader plug in so that I can view PDF files on other internet sites. I have Vista sP2 on Dell XPS 420 with Firfox version 18.01

You actually have the most Recent Flash player, so I'm not sure why you are getting a notice. Try to Reset Firefox [[Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems]]
