Facebook will not work on my laptop. it comes up with the toolbar at the top but no information loads up.
it is only on my laptop as i have tried my work computer and that is fine.
yeah tried all that. the only thing that i havent tried is to delete itunes completely and restart. its the same with the ipad. i havent done a master reset. i just think it has to be something rather simple as it acknowledges that i have plugged in the ipad as it makes the noise it just come up usb not recognized. it shows up as an unknown device that doestn have any drivers
its driving me round the bend at the minute

The issue seems similar to that in the first box though it would be nice to have the complete error message. Tearing out all iTunes components and reinstalling as given in the second box should resolve.

I cannot open my phone as the screen will not work. I have made an appointment with a technician tomorrow but is there anyway of backing my phone up to Icloud so that I do not lose any of photos etc etc?
PLug it into yrou computer to sync/back it up.
Is it set to back up to iCloud now?
Or do you have wifi backup enabled in iTunes?
Plug it in while on wifi and it will automatically back up. -
I tried to upload my daughters videos she made on her iPod to my mac iPhoto and it seemed to have "Stuck" and now will not work at all. It had to a complete fix of the existing library. It will now not let me move pictures from the "Stream" to "photos", it looks like it is trying to but gets stuck and I have to force a shut down of the programe.

You can enable your Known & Trustworthy Add-ons later. Check and tell if its working. -
hi, my itunes will not work. I get a message saying it is out of date. But I have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes and I get the same message?
When uninstalling iTunes on your windows computer, there is a specific way it must be done in order to completely uninstall all components of the software. Ensure you follow the article for your correct OS.

This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode,put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for the error.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected.
The device should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

Laptop crashing. Purchased new. Had 30 day free trial of CS4. Activated and used that.
My serial # would not work when prompted for it.
Yesterday, chat session helped me to download the software again. Download took 3 hours so chat session ended before install could be completed.
Today I rand the install.
The first time the session ended with a "failed to install" and a list of programs (all of them).
Second and subsequent attempts result in getting to the "Cancel/Install" screen. Message says "Preparing to install" but nothing happens for a significant amount of time.
Please advise. How do I complete the install? I do need to use this software very, very soon.

I play Mafia Wars via Facebook. In the game one can 'ask' for gifts, help etc from other members of one's 'family'. These all work for me bar one (recently changed in it's presentation); once names of the people I want to 'send' to have been selected I have two options, I can 'send' or 'skip'. The only option that works now is 'skip'!!
The game makers suggest
1) I clear the cache (already done)
2) I change to Chrome or another browser (I would like to stay with Firefox)
3) I revert to Firefox 5 (I would prefer to remain with the most up to date version).i'm also having major CPU problems w/ FF 29.0.1. when i restart the app it calms down again but after loading tabs it steadily climbs up to 100% after not too long. i have checked out the 2 CPU links/articles above and do all the basic troubleshooting and tips, but with all the FF tools & add-ons isn't there some sort of CPU monitor that has the ability to display which extensions/scripts are hogging the CPU? Activity Monitor on Mac just shows the total used by the app. it's impossible in my case to efficiently disable dozens of add-ons & scripts, restart, and test each one by one b/c it can take several hrs before the CPU starts to spike high again. i have no time for this.

The pinch open and close (enlarges screen and images via trackpad) function on my Macbook Pro does not work. It worked with the previous version of firefox.

Hi. Bought iwork family as a download rather than on DVD. Want to transfer to other macs in household. Apple told me to transfer to USB stick and then put on other macs. Doesn't work and get message saying "keynote cannot be opened due to a problem". Same problem for .pages and .numbers. I have reinstallled but same problem. Have checked system requirements and everything seems fine.Any one have any ideas how to solve this. Thanks
I'm an applications developer and also run a part-time videography business. As such, I require more than 3.12GB of RAM. That is the physical limitation of a 32bit system. Pointless to stay on 32bit if you plan on having more than that much RAM.
I'm also not about to pay someone to fix my PC when I can do it myself. I was originally hoping for someone who had experienced the problem before to point me in the right direction so I didn't have to spend so much time trying to figure out what the issue was for myself.
Basically, in the end the problem was caused because right at the point in time when I chose to uninstall, and reinstall; Apple released a new version of iTunes. This version in turn had a requirement of iOS 4.2 to sync with the iPhone. This is a pretty embarrassing for Apple that they would release software reliant on other software before said software was released.
Had I realised I was downloading a newer version at the initial point of installation, this wouldn't have been an issue. I could've easily have rolled back iTunes to the previous version and gotten on with my life.
Another issue is that iTunes is not actually a 64 bit application. It masquerades as one to allow installation on the 64 bit platform. -
I actually cannot open any applications now. Does this computer need to be reset?
Might need to restore OS X but we need to know which OS X is installed first.
