Facebook won't open in iOS8 iPhone 6

When I open FB on my iPhone 6, there is no content. After a few seconds, the app closes. Any thoughts?

I am getting a session expired on Facebook app and Messenger app on my iPhone 6 plus. I can log on using Safari and Chrome on the iPhone. I can log in on my iPad running iOS 8 and on my laptop running Mavericks. I have tried deleting my Facebook account on the phone, deleting and reinstalling the apps then adding my account again. I can log on in settings and I get the text notification that someone has logged in, but when I go to the Facebook app, it keeps saying session expired.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

What version of iPhoto were you running prior to Mavericks? First boot into Revovery volume (boot with the Command + R keys held down) and repair the disk and disk permissions. Then reboot back into Mavericks.
Two hours later when the transfer was complete, rather than having a normol iPhoto Library icon (stack of pictures with a photo of a flower), the library appeared as a folder with a half done progress bar and an "x" close button in the corner.
There was a problem with copying the older iPhoto library from the backup. Delete the library and drag it once again from the backup drive to the Pictures folder. Run the upgrader again. Is this what you see when your first launch the upgrader?

All my 3rd party apps won't open on my iPhone 4.

Recently all my apps won't open on my iPhone. All the stock Apple apps work though. All the 3rd party apps don't work. What can I do? I tried resetting, and restoring. What else should i try?

I'm also going through this problem and the only way to fix it (as far as I know) is go to App Store in your iPhone and download any random app (free app preferably), then make sure all your 3rd party apps work again and delete the random app you just downloaded.

this happened to me with my iPhone 4. I researched the problem and found this :
"The reason this happens is because every time a downloaded app is opened it checks for your itunes password for validation that you are authorized to open that app (as it may contain personal info). From time to time the iphone 'forgets' your itunes password. You can fix the missing password by syncing the iphone with itunes or downloading an app from the app store and entering your password that way.”
And to fix it, all I did was download a new app, or delete a current one, I used Facebook, and re-download it.

We have a Flickr account. My wife has the app on her iphone 5 and it works fine. I have installed the app on my iphone 5 but it won't open. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing twice. It still will not open. Any ideas?

Some steps you may not have already tried:
Restart your device
Turn the device off and on.
Update your device software and your apps
Update your device to the latest version of iOS.
Update your apps:
1. Open the App Store and tap Updates.
2. If updates are available, tap Update All.
3. If asked, enter your Apple ID password. The updates will download and install.
You might need a Wi-Fi connection to update some apps.
Contact the developer
If you see the issue again, contact the developer of the app for help:
1. Find the app in the App Store.
2. Tap the app and tap Reviews.
3. Tap App Support.

Settings > Safari > Clear History, Clear Cookies and Data.
Double tap Home button and delete Safari from multitask-list.
Do a Reset: Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Note: You will not lose any data

My FB app all of a sudden won't open......I have looked up the issue on the net but found no resolution.

You can try a reset, hold down the home/power button until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.

My podcasts won't open on my iPhone since upgrade to ios8.1

Every time I try to open my podcasts on my iPhone 5 it just shuts straight down. If I then double click on the home button you can see the podcasts but once again if I try to open the app it closes down. This only seems to have been occurring since getting 8.1. I have tried soft and hard reboots and syncing with iTunes. The only thing I haven't tried is the nuclear option... restore!

If I understand correctly the Podcasts app will not stay open for any usable length of time and keeps minimizing by itself even though you can see it running when you bring up the multitasking menu. I would quit that app, and all the others that are running on the phone:
iOS: Force an app to close
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
That should stop any processes that may be interfering with Podcasts when it tries to run. When you have done that reset the device one more time, and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

Hi. I have tried resetting my iPhone 4S three times and I have also downloaded a free app. Neither of those have fixed the problem. It only seems to be the Just Dance 3/Autodance app that won't stay open but I don't want to lose all my dancing videos on there as they cannot be recreated Please help me I've had the 4S from November 2011. I assume that if I delete the app and reinstall it that will delete all of my videos? I can't see another way to get them off the iPhone and on to my laptop.

App Won't Open on Verizon iPhone

Hello All,
A few days ago I purchased an app called "Skeptic's Dictionary" for $0.99. After it installed, I went to open it and it immediately closed. After 2 days worth of troubleshooting to fix it, as well as emailing the app's developer, I came to the conclusion that it's not compatible with Verizon's iOS, which is 4.2.8. The app's developer, in no uncertain terms, basically said it's designed to run on iOS 4.3, which is the latest version of iOS and what AT&T's iPhones have, but not Verizon's. This app was released at the very end of March, so it wasn't around prior or 4.3. Do a Google search, you'll see that Verizon's iPhone's iOS is behind.
Anyways, from what I've read online, Apple sent letters to app developers explaining this and asked them to update their apps to run on both iOS 4.2 and 4.2.8. Obviously this one did not and now I'm out $0.99. Not a whole lot, but it's still money. If I had known about this issue before purchasing this app, I never would've purchased it and instead could've used that $0.99 on an app that I could use. I know iTunes doesn't give refunds, I don't care. If it had been a $5+ app, then I'd be pretty mad, but whatever. I'm now hesitant on purchasing anymore apps because of this; I don't want to waste money on an app that I have no clue if it'll work or not since I don't have the most recent iOS on my phone.
Anyways, my questions:
1) Does this developer have to update his app to work on iOS 4.2.8? Given Apple's strict App & App Store policy, I'm surprised this app managed to slip by them since it doesn't work on Verizon's iPhones, which make up a LOT of the iPhone user base. Should I send iTunes an email letting them know about this app's issue? If I do, will they do anything about it?
2) Is Verizon going to get iOS 4.3 at all? It came out in March and it's now July.
3) Has anyone else with a Verizon iPhone had the misfortune of downloading an app that doesn't work because it's not compatible with anything below iOS 4.3?

I am trying to open Facebook in safari to update pages I administrate; I keep getting a blank page. Have tried deleting history, cookies, etc to no avail. Any suggestions?

AdBlock is the culprit. I was getting the same problem until I disabled 'AdBlock' in my my extensions and hey presto Facebook popped back up. Safari>Preferences>Extensions then disable it.

I have been looking at how to do these tasks - not 100% on both.
The quickest way to do this is to create a clone copy of your existing internal Macintosh HD. You can create this copy using applications like Data Backup, Carbon Copy Cloner, or SuperDuper!.
I use an external USB HDD for the clone copies.
The following AppleInsider article will give you an idea on how to use Carbon Copy Cloner to make a clone backup of your Mac's hard drive.

What have you tried ? e.g.
- closing the app via the taskbar : from the home screen (i.e. not with the App Store app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar at the bottom of the screen, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the App Store app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar
- logging out and back into your account via Settings > iTunes & App Stores
- a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
