FaceTime 1.0.2 does not connect.
After upgrade to 1.0.2 last week, my FaceTime just does not connect.
When I call my friends, the FaceTime do appear on their side, but it does not connect after my friends click connect button. After a while, my FaceTime shows that my friend is busy, and ask me to try again.
When my friends call me, my FaceTime did not even appear.
Please help!
Thanks
Bailing
I too downloaded the new version of Facetime this evening. I had previously been using v.0.9 and it worked fine. Now that I've downloaded 1.0.2, it does not work at all. Half the time it tells me the camera is off and then tells me there was an internal error and i was disconnected from facetime. The other half of the time, when I try to turn on face time it just sits and whirls but never connects. I've tried many of the other suggestions on this topic including repairing disk permissions, changing my DNS settings, re-booting etc. None of it has worked so far. I am on a iMac (late 2009) version. Any suggestions would be much appreciated

FaceTime on Mac (Yosemite) does not connect when calling an IOS device
Hi all,
Since my upgrade with Yosemite, I seem to be having issues with FaceTime (video/audio) calling iOS Devices. iMessage works just fine with Yosemite. But when i attempt to call the other party via FaceTime, i could hear it ring but cannot connect. Anybody else who has the same issue and does anybody know how to fix it? It would seem to be a Yosemite issue, because when i tried using my iPad and iPhone to call via FaceTime, it works just fine using the same Apple Id i used for the Macbook Pro (Mid 2010). But when I use my Mac to call the iPhone.. It rings but it does not connect.. I hope they fix this with the next update..For the ones who are interested: the problem has been "solved".
Solution: none. I found out that the iPhone 4 from my girlfriend caused the problem. The iPhone made it impossible to FaceTime to each other from iPhone <> MacBook Pro. I think it's because the discontinued iOS support for the iPhone 4.
Since she has the iPhone 6 FaceTime now works wonderful without any problem. -

While i calling on facetime, it does not connect , it says connection lost all the time
After trying everything, here,s what worked to me: go to settings - facetime, and when it asks how you want to be reached on facetime, uncheck the icloud email option. Hope it works!

My FaceTime is active but it does not connect. Any one know what is wrong with it or how to solve the problem?
Please sign out of FaceTime and sign back in. If there's no change, log out or restart the computer and try again.

Try turning off the Firewall in System Preferences > Security & Privacy

HT4245 face time does not connect when receiving or dialing out
face time does not connect when receiving or dialing out
It finally seems to work (2nd day now and counting)...
I tried the following with no luck:
upgrading to iOS 5
adding an associated e-mail and calling that associated e-mail
do a full-scale registration of the e-mail (and making a free purchase via itunes) instead of a 'facetime only' registration
this combo however seems to have done the trick:
keeping the ipad2 plugged in
changing the dns on the ipad to "8.8.4.4,8.8.8.8"
If it continues to work for a few more days, then i think i can say the the problem is finally resolved. -

HP 6700 all in one wireless printer, got the latest Comcast router. None of which connect to my computer wirelessly. Which do I throw away the printer, router, or Mac? HelpContact HP for support.
Explain that you are using a Mac, anticipate the inevitable groan, and wait patiently for their resident Mac expert to return from vacation.
Until then download and install its driver here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?product=5058338&cc=us&dlc=en &lc=en
Otherwise return the printer and purchase one from a company that visibly supports OS X. HP isn't on that list. -
When I plug in my iPhone, it connects and begins to charge, then asks me to "trust" the computer. When I select "trust", rather than connecting to iTunes, my phone gets disconnected and then it reconnects again and continues to charge but does not connect to iTunes... I have tried restarting both my computer and my phone, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes and I've also tried connecting my phone with different USB cables and connecting them into different USB ports... Still nothing is working.
That's how Apple set it up on the Mac.
There is a free application called iExplorer for Mac that allows you to view and copy files from your iPhone.
Hope this helps. -
iTunes Store for Windows. Everytime I try an access the iTunes Store it takes really long to connect and then it says iTunes store cannot be access. I think I am up to date with iTunes Verison, I Have 11.0.2.26 but no matter what I try it does not connect. HELP Please???

My early 2009 Mac Pro does not connect via bluetooth to my sound bar or bluetooth mini speakers. Both my wireless keyboard and mouse have no problems connecting. What do I need to do to connect to external bluetooth devices?
I would always have a wired keyboard and mouse on hand (need not be expensive ... any cheap wired devices will work). "Emergency recovery" procedures can activate features in random order, so the opportunity to select a recovery partition may pass before the wireless devices are recognized.
That will let you select the "turn on Bluetooth" icon. -
Bought a new Ipod touch and the WiFi does not connect. Tried Reset and total Restore, does not connect to Router on DHCP, tried Static IP, Subnet, Router and DNS manually and still can not get it to connect even though it registers as connected. Using Airport for router, latest firmware, no problems with Iphone 4 or Macbook Pro or any other internet devices. After total Restore (factory settings) tried again, showed connected to router, but does not display "check" next to router but little rotating icon even though the wifi range signal shows connected at full strength and it says it is connected. Just can't seem to get it to generate an IP. Any solutions other than turning it on and off again? Not a Merry Christmas morning.
Ok, so, a couple of things: Denisefromwaleska and I have the exact same size/type/color iPod. Now wishing I'd bought the black one maybe...
Second, Airport is an Express and I have a second one that I carry with me when I travel. Tried to connect my Airport Express to the internet and could not although the iPod did recognize the router and tried to connect to the internet for some time, unlike my previous problem. Updated firmware on my travel router, still could not connect to the internet. Going to try to set up a manual Static IP on the travel router here in a few and conect through it although I predict the problem will persist. Back on the Christmas Present Airport Express router, it is back in play and working fine for all devices save the iPod.
Thanks again for all your help, hopefully I can get a solution in place soon, -
I have a different Apple id on my PowerBook from that on my iMac and iPad. Photo Stream does not connect to my Powerbook. How do I change the Apple id in iCloud on my PowerBook? Will this link all 3 machines to PhotoStream?
You can't simply change the details.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
