Facetime Audio Difficulty

I was using facetime once on my macbook pro and used headphones during it. Before this I had no audio problems at all. Now whenever I use facetime on my macbook pro I need to use headphones or I cannot hear the people I am talking to and they cannot hear me. Can anyone help?

I just installed FACETIME on my I MAC from the apple store. When I call somebody or they call me, I can hear them perfectly but they can not hear me, its a important tool I use for my work as a graphic designer. So I need to solve this probleme right away! My mute button was off so its not that the problem!
Can I fix this probleme?
Can you give me a check list of what needs to be check?

Facetime Audio don´t work with 10.10.2 and iOS 8.1.3

After the Upgrade to Yosemite 10.10.2 on my Mac Pro and iOS 8.1.3 on my iPhone 5 i cannot make Facetime Audio Calls anymore. The Problem is that when i get a call or make a call i can hear the people but they dont hear me. The settings don´t change. The Microphone on my Logitech Webcam is selected in Facetime App and in audio settings but it dont works. The Microphone is not broken i tested it with Quicktime.

i Must correct again. With soundblaster drivers deinstalled Facetime Works better as before but the bug was already there. Sometimes my voice disappeared and the caller don´t hear me. i think there is a Bug between Yosemite 10.10.2 and iOS 8.13 and i hope with 10.10.3 and 8.2 this bug was fixed.

Hi, Does FaceTime Audio exist on a Macbook Pro? if the answer is no? Then would minimising FaceTime Video when use give me and the person on the other end the same bandwidth usage as FaceTime Audio? i ask this due to my friends ISP in Yemen being capped!

Hello Antron. My only suggestion would be to ensure that all bluetooth devices are removed including any link to the isight and then reconnect the isight so that it is the only external source of audio.

FaceTime Audio lock screen bug

I figured out that when I'm on a FaceTime Audio call on my iPad in landscape mode, every time I lock the screen the call information shifts to the right about an inch and will eventually go completely off the screen. I'm using iOS 7.1. It doesn't happen in portrait mode.

FaceTime is available with iPhone 4 or latter, except those iPhones that were sold in the Middle East.

FaceTime audio causes phone to restart?

My phone has restarted during the last two FaceTime audio calls I've made. Both happened at about the 20-30 mark, and had a weird "frozen" screen look like if a tv isn't tuned properly to an OTA broadcast signal for a few moments before hard resetting to the white screen and black apple logo. Both calls were over wifi at a hotel.
Has anyone else seen this problem? Is it a known issue? I haven't been able to find any other discussions on this but two times in a row can't be coincidence.

Sounds like there are random restarts being caused by the latest iOS, as it happened to me today while listening to a podcast and using an app.
It may have something to do with the audio because I haven't had this happen when audio wasn't being used.

Facetime audio won't show up on iOS 7

I've just bought an iPhone 5s, which of course already has iOS 7 pre-installed. However, I haven't been able to do Facetime Audio because the icon doesn't show up on every contact that I have. Plus, my friends can't contact me either since their phone said that I'm not available for Facetime Audio.
Any thoughts anybody?

Thank you for replying back. I've turned it on already from before. I've already used Facetime Video a lot, but no Facetime Audio ever. Like I said, that telephone icon won't show up, I've seen it from my friend's iPhone.

Can't call Facetime Audio contacts from Apple Watch

Why can't you call Facetime Audio contacts from the Apple Watch? All it does is hand it off to the iPhone where I need to tap a button to call using the iPhone. Even contacts with FaceTime audio can't be called from the Apple Watch. iMessage is fine though. Am I missing something here?
When I choose a contact from Friends, all numbers are there, but no FaceTime at all.

If I had to guess at the reason, I'd say one or more of:
- Avoiding impact on watch battery life
- Some constraint on the wifi watch-to-phone connection (don't ask me what - I'm guessing )
- Feature planned for the future, but Apple following its normal practice of starting with restricted features and adding them incrementally later (as, for example, with iPhone, which had very little at first)

FaceTime Audio Issue? Every call from iPhone 6 to iPhone 6 uses FaceTime Audio

I have a Iphone 6. My wife has a iPhone 6. We have used FaceTime Audio a few times in the past to connect when I was traveling internationally and / or no reception but I had wifi. My problem is now EVERY call is connecting us via FaceTime Audio despite NOT attempting to connect that way. In both our contacts I have changed the phone number field labeled iPhone to the field labeled mobile From the one labeled iPhone. We are both aware on how to make a FaceTime Video and / or Audio call and are NOT doing it that way. Pretty strange. Nothing against FaceTime audio but I would prefer to make the decision on when to connect that way and when to not. Any help is appreciated.

thanks for the suggestion unfortunately that did not work. Deleated each others contacts and made a NEW one with a Variant of each others names so that it was completely new entry. Same thing. Every call is FaceTime audio. I am really perplexed.

Why I cannot use FaceTime audio?

I had this problem too, and found out that the issue was with my router. Apple posted an article regarding this issue. Some of my contacts are recieving FaceTime or FaceTime audio requests that I am not making but are coming from the assigned iCloud email address that I do not use for FaceTime

A few of my contacts are recieving FaceTime or FaceTime audio requests generating from my iCloud email address. Additionally some of my contacts, including my husband are recieving texts that say they are generated from me (as their contact) but I am not texting nor do I have access to that particular thread and I am not recieving all of my iMessages from another one of my contacts, but she shows that they are sent. This all seems to be related to a single issue and Im starting to freak out that my apple account or a portion of it was hacked.
A few months ago my husband, out of town, initiated a FaceTime session and someone else answered it, and hung up. He then initiated it again and this time it came through and I answered it. At that time I changed my apple ID password. But now it seems like I am having similar if not escalating issues with this. What do I do?
