Try unplugging your iPod and rebooting your PC. Then reset the iPod by toggling the hold switch on and off, then pressing and holding both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
Then start up iTunes and connect your iPod again.
If still no luck, what comes up on the iPod's LCD display when you connect it to a high powered USB 2.0 port on your PC?

Suddnly stop merge replication. transaction cannot replicated from publiser to sunscriber.
I tried to set heartbeat_interval= 5 but still not working..

are still active.
What is the problem with merge replication and why this erroe comes..

Run profiler on the subscriber to see what the merge agent is doing there. It is possible that there is some blocking that is causing the agent to hang. You might want to set the heartbeat to 10 or higher. The default is IIRC 5.

Finding out if any modifications are being made in the fields in an editable datagrid

I populated my data grid with an array
collection(initDG=event.result.categorydtls.category) where
initDGObject is the array collection.I made the data grid as
editable.Now , when the user click's on submit(below data grid),
the request for modifying the corresponding details in database
should go only if the user makes any modification ,or else an alert
should be shown saying that "you havent made any modifications".For
this purpose i assigned "event.result.categorydtls.category" to
another array collection initDGObject and ,in the function which
will be invoked after clicking on submit i compared both the
objects initDG and initDGObject.But to my surprise,if any field in
data grid is modified then both initDG and intiDGObject(here let me
remind that i assigned initDG as the data provider for grid and
initDGObject is a normal array collection object for which the
details are assigned to for comparison purpose) are also
modifying.So i am unable to check if any modifications are being
made before forwarding request for database modification to back
end.Please suggest me a solution for doing this task.Thanks in

Apple can only have the episodes in the store that the TV company have passed to them, and at the moment that looks like just the first 2 episodes of that series - the first episode was only added on 25th March, and the second on 7th April (which is more than are available in the US or here in the UK)

Calls are being made with my face, or ended while on the phone with someone else

There have been more occoasions than I care to mention where I am trying to talk on my iPhone 4 using head my shoulder and a new call is made or the call is ended. Is there anything that I can do to lock the screen while I am on the phone to prevent this from happening? Any idea's or suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated. I know that I should probably just break down and get a headset, but if there is anything that I can do in the interim that would be great. Thank you!

Do you have a case on your iPhone? If yes it may be interfering with the proximity sensor, try a call with the phone naked.
If that doesn't work try Restoring your phone in iTunes.
If that still doesn't fix it your proximity sensor may have failed. Get it serviced.

Does anyone know what is this mean and how to fix this?
I checked the records and they are not being replicated, and the connection to the subscriber are not active for some reason; but I don't know how to fix it.

It basically means that the replication agent has not logged a status message back to the replication subsystem.
Basically you can't stop it, and these messages let you know if the agent has hung.
However you can delay the time before the subsystem will report this message. Do this by the following query - this will delay this message to 10 minutes from the default of 5 minutes. I have set this to days when replicating over ISDN/Phone lines.

Recovered files are being found in the trash can! Is this normal?

Why do I sometimes find Recovered items i.e. files in the trash can. These files (I do not know which application causes them) are put in a folder called Recovered Folder. I normally shut down my laptop or put it to sleep. I do not have the shut down issue other users complain from. I thought that this is what happens when computer shuts down in middle of applications, however as I said I do not have the shutdown issue and I normally put my computer to sleep.

Incoming calls are being answered by Viber, how can I stop this?

Suddenly in the last few days, when a call comes in to my iPhone 4s running IOS 7.04, it is answered by Viber, even if the caller is not even using Viber. Can this behavior be changed? TIA.

Amishcake, thanks, you're right - it turned out to be a setting in Viber. I can only conjecture that they must have changed the default with one of their recent upgrades. Appreciate your quick reply!

Trying to restore but the server can't connect?????

Kiddo or someone locked the Ipod touch up and even if I turn it from brick mode into restore mode iTunes tells me it can't connect to the server. I'm stumped.
Updated iTunes right before I plugged it in so it is up to date. idk???

- Powering off and then back on your router.
- iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers

- For one user uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes resolved the problem
- Try on another computer/network
- Wait if it is an Apple problem

Trace function or some way to see what branching decisions are being made.

Is there anyway to trace through a series of conditional branching items? In my 11 page form I have a case where I think I have set up the proper Show/Hide and branching conidtions, however In one senario, when testing the form I get a "Blank" page. For the life of me I can not see where this is coming from. Not sure which page it is, since there are no page numbers on the form.
I have tried 4 or 5 different methods to get around this issue. No luck. How can I see what decisions are being made behind the scene? Trace function of some kind?

Hi Mike,
There's no trace functionality in the form. You can track your progress through the form by looking at the fragment ID in the address bar. The fragment ID is the "#n" portion of the URL, where n is the current page number. Here's an example form URL where the user is being shown the third page in the form.

That is a new feature described in Connect your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac using Continuity - Apple Support
You can turn it off by going to Settings > FaceTime and changing "iPhone Cellular Calls" to off.
You may also want to look into using separate Apple IDs for you and your wife. That is now more flexible with new Family Sharing features: http://www.apple.com/ios/whats-new/family-sharing/

I had thought about this, but it seems other people have already chosen the screen name "pinksharkmark" and virtually every variation of it I can think of. So that isn't an option for me. As for getting it to display something else as well, do you mean that if I were to get an AIM screen name like "CromulentCat" I could somehow log in to iChat under the AIM account "CromulentCat" yet get iChat to represent me to my Buddies as "PinkSharkMark"? Because I have to admit I don't see how that can be done. It appears as if iChat displays to anyone chatting with you precisely the account name you logged in under and nothing else. So if you logged in using a .Mac account, then you are displayed as "[email protected]" while if you logged in under an AIM account, you are displayed as "CromulentCat". But that's it that's all... there is no way to change CromulentCat to PinkSharkMark.
