Facetime calls multiple phones

I have two iphones. An iphone 4, and a iphone 5. When i receive a facetime audio call on my iphone 5, the iphone 4 also receives this call. I have checked to see if there is a conflicting email adress or phone number which could cause this but to no avail. There is no known reason for the iphone 4 to be receiving the facetime audio call meant for the iphone 5. Both phones are on the same apple id. Is there any ways to solve this?

Yeah... don't do that...
Of course, it's also possible that the caller has both numbers listed in the same contact record for you.

  • Facetime calling multiple devices

In our house, we have 1 iphone  and 2 new ipods.  We share an apple id but have different facetime email addresses.  Recently, when my son gets a facetime "call" it, it calls all 3 devices.  The person is only using his email address for facetime.  Is there a setting somewhere that I accidently turned on?  Thanks!!!!

There is a setting.  Evidently at some point, the apple id email got added to the facetime settings as an alternate or even primary email.  I was able to remove it from the other devices and all is well

  • FaceTime: calling mobile phones. Do I need to pay?

    Hi,
I installed Facetime and it works perfectly. My question is regarding payments. When I call from my computer to my mobile phone number... WHO pays the call if I call a normal phone number instead or an email?...
Thanks in advance for the answer,
    Iván

Nobody pays. It works over WiFi only, not the voice or data mobile network.

  • Calling multiple phone lines at once

My wife's Iphone 4S calls my sons Iphone 5S and it rings, but so does my Iphone 6 plus? Same if she calls my iphone 6 plus, then my sons also rings. Figure it is something in settings on one of the phones but cannot figure out.

On each phone go to Settings > FaceTime and turn "iPhone Cellular Calls" to off. It is a feature of Continuity described in Connect your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac using Continuity - Apple Support
You may also want to consider using separate Apple IDs for each family member. That is now more practical due to new Family Sharing features: https://www.apple.com/ios/whats-new/family-sharing/

  • Calling multiple Phones

I am working in a network using Cisco Unified CallManger 4.3
There are 5 7960 phones all seperate lines partitioned to local site only.
In case of an emergency I need to use 1 phone to simultaneously call the other 4 phones and everyone be able to answer without needing to barge with confrence.
I have done research looking into line groups, hunt list, and route pilot. We can call all 4 phones at once but the first person to answer is given the line.  The line group is set to broadcast and all numbers are in the line group.
How do i make it so all phones can join in?
    Any help is appreciated
    Brian

You can't, what you're looking for is paging and this is not included in CUCM. You need a 3rd party app for that.
The broadcast behavior you're seeing is working as designed. Only the 1st user to answer gets the call.

It calls both the ipad and iphone when calling the associated email address for the ipad. However, when I call the iphone it does not call the IPAD.

After calling AT&T tech support one more time, and explaining to them that the glitch was on their network, they admitted that the problem was at their tower...
I continued to use the phone on EDGE mode for two more days until the problem was fixed.
I even got a call back from a tech support guy asking me if my phone was working properly....
I wish they would have admitted to the problem before I sat at the apple store for 2 hours.

Use separate Apple IDs for each family member and use Family Sharing features of those things (if any) that you do want to share. https://www.apple.com/ios/whats-new/family-sharing/

  • My iPad is receiving phone calls, not FaceTime calls, that my iPhone under the same iCloud account is receiving, how do I stop this?

I have an older iPad that we use at my office for Pandora. My iPhone is connected to the same iCloud account as my iPhone is & once in a while my iPad will receive a phone call, not a FaceTime call, from one of my contacts that's trying to call me. It will say the contact's name up at the top like usual, it plays my iPhone ringtone, says "Slide to Answer" but also beneath that it says "from my iPhone." I still receive the phone call on my iPhone but I also receive it on my iPad & I'd obviously like it to stop. Can anybody help me out?

You can do this on the phone and the iPad. Settings>FaceTime>iPhone Cellular Calls>Off.

Make an appointment at the genius bar and take it in for them to look at. It will probably need to be replaced.

No it's not stealing. They have an allowance that you can share with so many computers/devices. You'll have to authorize her computer to play/use anything bought on your acct. You can do this under the Store menu at top when iTunes is open on her computer.
As far as getting it all on her computer....I think but I am not sure (because I don't use the feature) but I think if you turn on Home Sharing in iTunes it may copy the music to her computer. I don't know maybe it just streams it. If nothing else you can sign into your acct on her computer and download it all to her computer from the cloud. Not sure exactly how to go about that, I haven't had to do that yet. I wonder if once you authorize her computer and then set it up for automatic downloads (under Edit>Preferences>Store) if everything would download. Sorry I'm not much help on that.

  • HT204380 I am not able to make a FaceTime call to an Apple ID with iOS 7?  The only option is for a phone number

When I go in to the contact, the facetime icon is only located below the phone number.  I am not given the option to FaceTime with an Apple ID.  Is there a setting or something that I need to go in and change in order to make FaceTime calls to an Apple ID??
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

They have to have facetime on there device as well and enabled with phone number and or apple id.
THERE apple id needs to be in your contacts and YOUR apple id needs to be in there contacts

  • Monitor multiple phone for incoming call

    Hello,
I want to monitor multiple phone incoming call (retrieve callerID, ...)
I do that with Tapi, but when you configure TSP, it's only for one phone
I can install TSP several times, but ... for 40 phones ...
    Are there other solutions ?
    I use CCME

Yes, you can use packet capture to sniff skinny. It works really well, and transparently across CallManager and CallManager Express. You'll need to perform packet decode which is a bit of work, and connect your server to the appropriate SPAN port, of course.
