FaceTime - can't locate app, can't buy it, says it's installed.

I cannot locate the FaceTime app on my MacBook Pro 13" (Early 2011); it does not appear on the Dock nor in the Applications folder, nor System Profiler / Software / Applications.  When I attempt to buy the application from the App Store, I get the following alert: "FaceTime 1.0.2 is already installed and was not purchased from the Mac App Store; Do you want to buy FaceTime 1.0.2 again?" I click the "Buy" button, and I get the following alert: "We could not complete your purchase; FaceTime is already installed on this computer. Choose Software Update from the Apple menu to check for available updates." I click the OK button and select Software Update from the Apple menu - after "Checking for new software...," alert appears: "Your software is up to date; Software Update doesn’t have any new software for your computer at this time." I click the "Quit" button. Any suggestions?

Still didn't show.  But after downloading & installing AppDelete, I was able to find & delete FaceTime & reinstall from the App Store - it's working fine now. Thanks!

    Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..

  • HT5622 I can't download apps or anything as it says there is a problem with a previous billing or something like that, sverytime I try to put in my bank details to sort it, it just says find another way basically. It's nothing to do with my bank or detail

    None of the apps are worked once the music from iTunes was synced to the ipad

    Try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted.

    Do you currently have a credit card set up in your iTunes store Enter Payment Information screen?
    If so, grab a recent statement for that card and check to make sure that the address that shows up in your Enter Payment Information screenexactly matches the address showing on your credit card statement. For example, if your address in the credit card statement says "Street", the iTunes screen has to also say "Street" (Not St or Str.)
    Also make sure that your name in the iTunes screen exactly matches the one in your statement. (Say, if you've got a middle initial in the credit card statement name, you need one in the iTunes screen.)
    After doing that, does that get you past the invalid address thing?

  • Adobe App Mgr on Mountain Lion says Acrobat X installed, but I can't find it?

    I have a Mac Pro early 2009 running OS 10.81.  I originally downloaded Acrobat X Pro as part of my Creartive Cloud subscription.  Then it worked as well as the other Apps I installed.  However, when I had a computer disk problem and used Time Machine to restore things, Acrobat X Pro seems to have disappeared.  It is no longer listed under Finder Applications.  The Adobe Application Manager says it is installed so I can't redownload it. 
    There is an "Acrobat X Pro" under Utilities/Adobe Installers/ but not an "Uninstall Adobe Acrobat X Pro" listed as all my installed applications have.  If I double click the "Acrobat X Pro" listing under "Adobe Installers,"  I get a window titled Uninstall Options and one line saying " -- Suite Shar ded Configuration CS6  3.2 MB" and a "Remove Preferences" check box.  However the Uninstall button is greyed out and unusable whether or not I check the remove preferences box.
    Is there any way to "uninstall" the phantom Acrobat or otherwise get things back to normal?

    Time machine restores can be tricky.  Likely your best option is to remove your Adobe Creative Applications, run the cleaner tool - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html, and reinstall.

    Is the card registered to exactly the same name and address as you have on your iTunes account ?     Lost my Ipod, might be stolen. Hoping to try and locate it?

    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    - If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.

    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.

  • Can't update apps, can't log into App Store on iPhone  but can on my PC??

    Since using my iPhone 5s I cannot update apps anymore.
    I get the notification that "cannot update app at the moment".
    I tried logging out and into the app store through the settings but after logging out I now can't log in there anymore.
    My account is fine as on my PC/internet it still works fine.
    Can anyone help?

    Why my iPad cannot connect to app store

    The App Store app is a built-in app, it can't be deleted.
    What have you tried to fix it ? If you haven't already done so then you could try the following :
    - log out of your account (tap on it in Settings > iTunes & App Store) and then log back in
    - close the App Store app via the iPad's multitasking bar and see if it works when you re-open it : double-click the home button to open the taskbar, and then swipe or drag the App Store app's screen from there up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar.
    - a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Safari 4 NOT VISIBLE - can't locate - but can't go back to 3.2.1

    Two days ago I had the Safari 4-beat for TIGER working fine. I did some TERMINAL commands to get the tabs on bottom and have the blue bar show when loading addresses.
    Today I've upgraded over the past hours with a full LEOPARD 10.5.6 on my MacBook (May 2006 - original core duo). Everything doing fine EXCEPT SAFARI-4 beta. It says it installs but it is nowhere to be seen; can't be found even with a search by "EasyFind".
    So I want to use the UNINSTALLER to go back to 3.2.1 - but it says that there is no 3.2.1 version to install; so I am either running FireFox browser or this 3.2.1 version from a back-up Leopard hard drive.
    Kinda a MESS. Any suggestions on how to get Safari-4 Beta to be seen - or at least to be able to have Safari 3.2.1 Leopard on my HD?

    SOLVED if any of you has this strange occurance...
    When I was running TIGER I upgraded from Safari 3.2.1 to the new Safari 4-beta. Worked great in Tiger!
    Then 48 hours later, I'm installing Leopard over Tiger (i.e. standard install, not NEW and not ARCHIVE). OK but now the Safari on my HD is the TIGER 4 BETA. When I then load the SAFARI 4 BETA over this; forget it. It's there, but not there--
    So one has to have a copy of Safari for Leopard 3.2.1 to copy to the Applications folder - then best do a restart then install the LEOPARD 4 BETA and it sees the Leopard 3.2.1 and overwrites it and all is fine.
    Just one more reason to have lots of backups - and glad I pre-installed LEOPARD on a LaCie external HD 2 weeks earlier and kept it!

  • TS1702 Can't reinstall apps, can't update apps. Help

    When I have try download a few apps lately none have came on screen. When I had to delete and reinstall a game I've spent lots of dollars in n enjoy playing the circle spins to download then nothing. I've tried updating my apps also nothing happens.

  • My computer shout down during the instalation and now there's no lion on the computer and can't download again from applestore as it says it's "installed"

    During the Lion instalation my computer shout down and there's no instalation done. I've looked for any instalation file on "downloads" but nothing appears and when trying to start from zero on the apple store... it says "installed" so can not do it!

    Try resetting your device.  Hold down the power button and the Home button on your iPad, ignore the slide to power off message, continue to hold both buttons until you see the white Apple logo. After it restarts try download the Facebook app again.
