Facetime cannot call my contacts after upgrading to iOS 8

My Son
Is getting frustrated that he cannot call any of his friends on Facetime after upgrading to iOS 8.
We have reset all his settings, gone through the 11 troubleshooting steps here:

Also we have restarted the device several times and updated to 8.0.2.
Any suggestions on how we can fix this?

What exactly happens when you try to call someone with FT? Error message?
Have you tried when connected to another network?

Thanks for your responce.but already done doing "Restore factory settings" .. and when Im doing "back up from" ..
I still encounter the same problem. I have important messages in my inbox I want to keep.
I even try to upgrade to the newest version. IOS 5.0.1. but still the same..My main problem is my contacts. I dont have "+" add contact button and inside each contact.. I dont have the "edit" button..

Problem with contacts after upgrading to iOS 7 (iphone 5)

After upgrading to iOS 7 (iphone 5), the contacts (loaded from icloud) in greek language aren't sorted!!! They are under the # symbol!! Anyone has a solution. I didnt have this problem with previous iOS versions!!!!

My phone was fine after I connected to iTunes. It appeared in recovery mode and then it downloaded the update, installed and all was fine.

I am missing some of my contacts in my iphone4 after upgrading to iOS 6. They are still in the memory but how to retrieve them.

What do you mean "they are still in the memory"? What memory?
Here's a test to perform - using a computer's browser, log into icloud.com and go to the Contacts page. If they are gone, then they are gone (must have been a setting during the update to iOS6).
If they show up, then the problem is that your device is not connecting to the Contacts database on icloud.
On the device, go to Settings>icloud. Be sure icloud is on and using the right ID. If not, scroll to the bottom of the page and tap Delete Account - this just disconnects the device from that account, no data is lost. Then log back in using the correct ID. ALSO - be sure the Contacts are turned on (on the same screen).
Note: Contacts are not part of an iCloud backup, since they are part of contacts database on iCloud's servers.

If you are having issues with your screen image not rotating when you rotating your iPad, you may want to make sure that Rotation Lock hasn't been inadvertently engaged. You may find the following page helpful:

Can't reset incoming call during conversation after upgrade to IOS 5

Right after migration to IOS 5 I discovered that it's impossible to drop incoming call during conversation. I mean when you pressed power button twice in IOS 4 call must be transferred to voice mail or resetted. It was fine before migration to 5th version pf OS. I tried to reset my phone to manufacture settings but result was the same.
Does anyone met the same with new IOS?

Weird, I can't edit my messages here...
It doesn't matter once or twice the button was pressed - both calls are resetted.

Labview 6.0 cannot call ActiveX functions after upgrading to Teststand 2

I'm running on Win2K on my development system. I have been running fine with Teststand ver 1.0.3 and Labview 6.0 with several VI's using ActiveX to work with the TestStand engine. I tried installing TestStand 2.0 (dated Aug 2001) next to 1.03 (not on top of it) to start upgrading and all those ActiveX VI's no longer functioned.
NI's documentation says Teststand 2 installs the LV RTE 6.02 on the system and to run a "REPAIR" on the LV RT Server 6.02 if installing LV 6.0 after Teststand (not my case). I ran the "repair" anyway to no avail.
I tried running NI's ActiveX example "Write Table to XL.vi" and it also does not run (Error -2147024891, "Access is denied.
in Open Excel and Make Visible.vi->Wr
ite Table to XL.vi"). I have run this before just fine.
I've even tried re-installing LV 6.0 and re-running the repair to no avail, also mass compiling everything in site. Always the same error!
Please help, anyone. My system is DOWN!.....

We have not seen this exact problem before with TestStand 1.0.3, 2.0, and LabVIEW 6.0. If your system is still down, please give us a call and we can talk through getting everything working. You can make a phone support request online by going to Request Support and choosing "Phone NI" from the Communication Method Pull Down menu.

Please help to to activate my iphone.. otherwise its cannot be used.
I saw notification on software update on iphone 3gs... so i downloaded it and upgrade.
After complete, i cannot activate my phone as message keep on appear as i tried,
"YOUR IPHONE COULD NOT BE ACTIVATED BECAUSE THE ACTIVATION SERVER IS TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE. TRY CONNECTING YOUR IPHONE TO ITUNES TO ACTIVATE IT, OR TRY AGAIN IN A FEW MINUTES".

Itunes cannot detect iphone 4S after upgrading to ios 8.0.2

i need help with this problem, i recently updated my iphone from 7.1.2 to ios 8.0.2. after the upgrade my iphone cant be detected by itunes either on PC or MAC, and the phone doesnt charge anymore. i tried to downgrade it using the DFU mode but still cannot be detected... does anyone had this kind of problem?

I cannot delete ANY apps after upgrading to ios 5-

After updated my software to ios 5 (iPhone 4, Verizon), I cannot delete any of the apps; it's like every single app is now a "native," acting just like all of the built in apps like phone, message, safari, etc. When I hold down on any one of them, they all start shaking, but no red x with the circle- there is no way to remove them...
I think that it is a bug in the software, because I updated my other iPhone 4 to ios 5, and I do not have any issues with this whatsoever...

I am having the exact same problem. When i go to update my existing apps - it asks me to type my password for my initial apple id (upon upgrade i needed to change it to the @soandso.com) but it wont take my password. When i try to download new applications it works - my new apple id comes up and everything works fine.
i tried restoring my phone, changing my settings, etc.
When i try to update in itunes it gives me a notification along the lines of "cannot update do to not holding majority of ..."
did you find a solution?

How can i retrieve my lost contacts after upgrading to iOS 5.1.1

I just upgraded to to the iOS 5.1.1 and a few hours later all my contacts disappeared. I tried to restore through iTunes but that did not work. - UPDATE as I am writing this. I got through to Apple Customer Service and because I had selected the option to backup to my computer (iMac 10.5.8) it was actually saving all my contacts to my "address book" app. Since I never used that application I didn't even think to look there. I just re-synced my contacts selecting "all contacts" and I was back in business.

I'm not sure I understand what you're asking, but I'll try to answer! You can either connect to iTunes and set up and activate there, or you can also use the setup assistant to set up your iPhone. As far as carrier activation, you'll have to follow the protocol that your carrier uses. Either switch SIM card, or call the number they use to allow device activation. Is that what you were wanting to know?

Lost contacts after upgrading to IOS 8.1.2

Just upgraded to latest IOS on my iphone 4s. To my dismay all my contacts are gone! I am desperate to get them back. My phone was backed up to the cloud, I assume they are retrievable there, however I can't get into my account as it says" your account has been disabled due to security reasons". When I ask for new password to be sent, it does not send to any emails that I currently have, I can't think of where it is going. As for security questions, that is not working either. I was on the phone with apple techs ( 3 of them) and they say they can't reset my email? I don't get it? All i need is to have my password reset...

Your contacts may well return once you are able to log into your iCloud account.
If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact Apple ID Support, upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.
You will need to show patience with the procedure and be prepared to demonstrate without question that the account belongs to you. Don’t expect access to be restored immediately and if you aren’t the owner of the Apple ID registered to the device the account won’t be reset.

Why can't I add or edits contacts after upgrading to ios 5?

I just updated my iPhone 3GS to iOS 5 this past weekend. Today when I went to add a phone number from my Recent Calls to an existing contact, it let me get as far as the actual contact, but wouldn't let me save the change. I then went into Contacts directly and found that I could not add or edit contacts. Does anybody have any advice?

I turned off all the iCloud functions and got this problem. Only way to get rid of it was to go into iCloud settings and DELETE the iCloud account. Somehow turning of contacts in iCloud disables the add/edit contact function which must be a bug!

During the syncronization it appers: The iTunes can't sync contacts in Iphone because contacts is being used by Iphone. Then shows me the legend "Close the contacts configuration in iPhone an sync again".
The problem is that contacts configuration is closed and I can't even open it in iPhone. Does anyone can help me?

Try to connect your iphone in computer, in itune restore the iphone as a new one. (it worked for me)
Or delete your contacts app from iphone and sync again.
