  • Connection lost problem while updating my Nokia As...

    Dear All,
I face a connection lost problem while I am updating Nokia Asha 200 using Nokia Suite
I installed Nokia software too many times, and tried to repair it. Also, I used another USB cable, but the problem still  happen
While it is installing the software, it suddenly stops and show connection lost to your phone.
When I try to restart and reconnect the USB cable, the problem still happen
    Nokia200
    V 10.61

    Thanks in advance

    Dear Farby
Thanks for your kind and quick reply.
please note that I tried again now, and when the messages for connection lost appears again, I waited for 5 minutes, and nothing happens
because it shows me to do steps, as follows :
    1. Disconnect USB cable from phone.
    2. restart your phone
    3. reconnect the USB cable
    4. Wait for the installation to continue.
and when I do these steps, the phone restarts in a test mode, all I see is a test mode message over its screen.
I believe that this is a fatal error which happens through the installation process and which leads to unsuccessful installation
I lost hope in updating the software of this phone, escaially I need to do so, because I face problems with these phone, which doing a hard reset even don't fix.
Thanks again, Farby ... for your help

  • Facetime  "connection lost"

    Hi.
I'm new to Facetime. I've been trying to connect from my iPod touch 4th gen to my mother's iPad. Both of us are able to get a ringing tone and both know the other is ringing. The receiver of the call accepts it but after saying "connecting" for a few seconds it flashes up "connection lost".
Also, if I try to ring my mother from my Apple iMac desktop I get the message my mother "is not available for Facetime" when I know full well she is available!
    Thanks for any help.

On both devices, go to Settings>FaceTime>You can be reached at. Are you trying to call an email address (or possibly a phone number if the Apple ID has an iPhone associated with it) that is also listed on yor device?
You can't call yourself successfully. If you try you get an error like you are getting.
If that is the case then:

  • Connection Lost Problem

    hi
suppose user is accessing your site & he lost the connection(still the browser is open),
how will u come to know that the user has lost the connection
    please help me
    thanking you

Read the HTTPSession and if this is NULL, means the connection is lost.
Another simple way, keep the userid in the session scope and check whether this id is NULL. If NULL results connection is lost.

  • Facetime sign in problem on my iMac. Works perfectly fine on my iPad 2 (?!)

I just purchased Facetime for my desktop computer and it does not want to sign in.
Exactly same network at home, and yet Facetime works perfectly fine on my iPad 2 and it won't sign in on my Intel iMac. It will keep trying until I get notification message I should check my network. There is really nothing to check since Facetime on my iPad 2 worked out of the box. I tried both, wireless as well as my wired connection. Still same problem.
I turned my iPad off and tried signing to Facetime with same Apple ID on my iMac. Still won't sign in. I tried my wife's account, still no go. I tried my wife's account on my iPad and it works like a charm.
What is that on my iMac that it does not allow Facetime to connect? All updates installed (OS X 10.6.7). Firewall is completely shut down, never even used it. I have Little Snitch but I don't believe that's the problem since I have Little Snitch with same configuration and rules on my work iMac. Facetime works perfectly fine on my work iMac at the office.
    This is driving me nuts.

    Hi everybody!
I think I solved this problem and I believe it could help to thousands of other people desperately try getting Facetime to work on their machines (that is when it comes to Mac, still not sure what is causing iPhone/iPad Facetime problem some people are having).
Anyway... this is what I did and it solved it immediately. I am having this issue with Facetime on my iMac for the last two months and no solution provided on the internet in various forums helped a bit. Changing DNS servers, erasing com.apple.imagent file from the user Library/LaunchAgents folder, even adding loads of ports to port forwarding section of my router... nothing.
Simple solution worked for me! I'm thinking what's so different from my home iMac and my office one (BTW, exactly the same configuration, and almost the same applications installed).
Problem was in my PeerGuardian settings. I have it installed on both machines, but only one option was different. On my office machine, option was checked and Facetime worked without any problems. On my home machine this same option was unchecked and Facetime was never ever able to connect. After I checked this option (see link for screenshot), Little Snitch immediately popped up asking me to allow "applepushserviced" to connect. I allowed it and Facetime connected in a matter of seconds.
This is the setting in PeerGuardian you need to have checked so Facetime is able to connect.

Trust me, even when PeerGuardian is not running, this setting if unchecked will screw your Facetime login.
And this is what LittleSnitch popped up with after I checked this option and tried signing in with my Facetime again. I allowed it and Facetime connected. Problem solved, at least on my end.

  • FaceTime connection problems since IOS6. Are there any solutions?

I have an iphone 4 my friend has iphone 4S.  We have both successfully used FaceTime previously as she is based in another country.  We can use iMessages but neither can connect to the other with FaceTime.  It calls but then says Connection Lost.  I've searched everywere and I contacted my carrier and they told me to do a reset which I did (and I told my friend to do it too) but it still doesn't work. Is this one of the problems with the release of IOS 6?   Does anyone know what Apple are doing about the problem?  Thanks.

You have Adware installed. Click the Firefox button, go to Add-ons | Plugins and disable '''My Web Search'''. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_web_search
Also, update Firefox to the latest version which is 4.0.1 by clicking Help | About Firefox | Check For Updates button.
In addition, update Adobe Flash via http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
Here's the Adobe security advisory for Flash: http://www.adobe.com/support/security/bulletins/apsb11-12.html

  • FaceTime fails with "WiFi Connection Lost"

My Google skills haven't found any matches for this, but perhaps others have seen it in passing at least.
I've noticed recently that I've been having problems with FaceTime calls to a friend of mine. For the past month since he got his iPhone 4, he'd end up losing the WiFi connection, but now it's happening to me, too.
The symptom is that the FaceTime call will be going fine for a while, and then it will just hang with no motion in the picture from the other phone for about 10 seconds, then the phone will beep and display this error:
    FaceTime Failed
    WiFi Connection Lost
    <OK>
At this point, I find that my WiFi indicator in the status bar is gone and replaced with "3G". It has indeed lost its connection to the WiFi access point (a Time Capsule).
Going into the iPhone's settings, I see that it shows there that it is still connected to my WiFi network (showing a checkmark next to my WiFi network name, although it still says "3G" at the top). Cycling WiFi off and back on corrects the problem.
My friend is also using his iPhone 4 connected to a Time Capsule, so we have similar setups. I'm beginning to wonder whether there's some problem either in iOS 4 or the Time Capsule that causes the wireless connection between them to disconnect in an aberrant fashion.
So, anyone else seen or heard of this?

FaceTime connection problems on my iPad2 was magically solved by changing the DNS number (in the Settings > Wi-Fi menus) to:
    208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220
(yes, there is a space after the comma, and a space after the numbers 7)
I recommend that you write down your present DNS number for safekeeping before you make this change.
I hope this solves your FaceTime connection problem!
    All the best,
    Brad P.

  • FaceTime -connecting and connection lost error.

Hi! I've been having a problem recently on my Facetime app. I use Facetime on my Ipod 4G and it would work completely fine. But now whenever I try to call someone it says "connecting" and eventually says "connection lost". I have tried it with 3 difference iPods with two different wifi locations. The problem was started or noticed on 9/28/2013 and still not able to resolved. I have restored the router configuration to factory default on one of the Wifi to see it would help but it did not help. If someone could help me that would be greatly appreciated.

  • When I try and make a FaceTime call, it always says, 'Connection Lost'. Help?

I was trying to FacceTime my friend and it was the usual screen that you get when you recieve a FaceTime call. I hit 'Accept' and it says connecting but, it always ends up saying, 'Connection Lost' or 'FaceTime Failed'. When I try and FaceTime them back it says connecting but again, says 'Connection Lost' or 'FaceTime Failed'. And help on what to do?

There have been numerous reports of FaceTime connection issues for the last few days and it is unclear what the cause is. Following is one of many discussions of the issue: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6096640?start=120&tstart=120

  • Facetime comes up with connection lost on IPAD 2.

Both have the latest operatinng system ios 6, that's Iphone 4 and IPAD 2. When trying to connect to Ipad  from another distant Ipad , it does not connect, neither does the ringer sound.  I have tried at home using my Iphone to ipad as well trying to connect facetime, still connection failure on ipad.   ipad to iphone over wifi at home with a good signal, no response on ipad except - connection lost giving the call back or cancel options.  nothing received on iphone. i have tried putting 8.8.8.8 in the wifi setting on the dns as some website suggested .  when i use my iphone to connect to ipad via face time the ipad opens facetime with ringer - accept does not open dialogue and eventually comes up with connection lost, meanwhile iphone still ringing. So ipad opens facetime but does not connect.  facetime icon on ipad desktop show missed call.  Eventually Iphone says Facetime not available
    can anyone help please

I have done everything suggested except restore from my earlier backup.  Situation is still iphone rings ipad, accept on ipad does not - eventually ends with connection lost, while i phone still ringing.
the reverse from ipad to iphone never gets to iphone - but comes up with connection lost - wifi settings on ipad has dns of  n.n.n.n,8.8.8.8.
whats the renew lease setting for?
    derek

  • Facetime connection problems using Verizon mifi 4510L device

Anyone having problems with iPhone facetime connection being dropped when using this wifi device? Phone/facetime work perfectly when on other wifi connections. Thanks, Matt

The Verizon 4G network has terrible latency, so, while downloads (and uploads) can be fast, it can take them a while to get started, so any exchange that needs a fast response is likely to be unstable. The network also sometimes stops working for several seconds at a time. I have a Verizon LC-11 wireless hotspot and I'm not happy with it.
