Facetime crashes on my iphone 4

I now understand that iphone's do not have facetime icon on them, but i try to facetime with my phone either initiating or receiving, the facetime rings once and then it crashes. Message at the other phone appears that this person is not available for factime. I have restored the phone a few times now. What could be wrong?

Have you tried giving it a manual reset?
(Hold power button until 'slide to unlock appears' then hold the home button aswell)

Create an AppleID under different email addresses for each family member at http://appleid.apple.com
If they don't already have their own email address just setup a free one with Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail or whoever you prefer.
Then on each device sign into iMessage with the users own AppleID in:
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > Tap AppleID at top > Sign Out, then sign back in again with the correct AppleID.

Yea, there is no standalone app for facetime. Select a contact, and at the bottom is an option to facetime call
There is an app that is free called facedial for facetime
By the way, there is a free IOS 6 book available for download in the Apple bookstore.

I want to talk to my child when I'm not at home. We have an Ipad that is in our house, and I have an Iphone on me all the time. When I call my e-mail address from my Iphone, it rings on my Ipad, but immediatly says it is busy. Is this because I have the same Apple ID set up for both devices? the key is to call the mobile no. (with which you registered the iphone) using the ipad or call the apple id you have on the ipad from iphone. But you have to sign out from the apple id from the facetime option in the iphone.

I just purchase my ipad2 2 days ago. yesterday, there was a sound. today there is no sound. there is a sound only in movies and you tube and music. but no sound on all apps and keyboards. I look it up and seems like ther are few that have this problem. I called walmart coz I bought it there and they told me that they have not heard that before but if I can't fix it, just return it and exchange it with anew one since I have 14 days to do that. I started to do that then it said that this will become their apple I.D or similar and then I thought that will disconnect them from the same iTunes? Facetime on MacBook Pro, Iphone and Ipad mini no longer works after years of working just fine. I get the message that I am connecting then it instantly just disconnects. Has worked fine for over two years with no issue until about a month ago?
I have investigated and tried things like re-setting apple ID and deleting the plist file etc, nothing works.

To use factime on your Mac, I believe you will need to use your email address to do so instead of your wireless number. Since you can't make calls on the Mac.

On iPhone there is not a FaceTime app just simply tap phone go to contacts at the bottom then tap the add button on the top right hand corner fill in their details if an iPad 2 or iPod Touch 4G enter in their email if iPhone enter in their number. To Check wether FaceTime is enabled Go Settings -> Phone -> FaceTime. Is it On or Off? To FaceTime the contact just simply Go<Selected Contact<Look Below > Tap FaceTime
