FaceTime doesn't recognize my camera

Why can't I use my camera and I keep receiving "NSURLErrorDomain hatası -1012" message when I try to solve the problem by means of AppStore... Urgent help needed please...

Consider http://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-6431.
If you try to  Reinstall OS X but the error message appears again, try installing the OS X Mavericks 10.9.3 Update (Combo) instead.  Then test your camera again.
If FaceTime is the ONLY Apple camera app that is giving trouble, and if you want to try to resolve the issue without an Apple Technician's help, Troubleshooting FaceTime for Mac may help you.

  • Why Photoshop doesn't recognize the Camera Raw modifications ?

    Dear all
I'have passed to Yosemite few day ago reinstalling all the CS6 suite, but now when I open an elaborated photo from Camera Raw to Photoshop, I can't see any modifications: it's seems that Photoshop doesn't recognize the Camera Raw modifications.
    Someone could help me ?

    Couple of things:
    1. That's not what Photoshop does. It's not an image manager, it's a file editor. So, you can set Photoshop to start when you connect your camera but it will stat and nothing will happen.
    2. You need to decide how you want to manage your photos. You can do this with iPhoto, the Finder or something else. Which ever you decide let us know and we can help you set that up.

  • Help!  iPhoto doesn't recognize my camera anymore

My Pentax Optio S4 has worked great for the last couple of years - when I plugged in the USB cable, iPhoto opened and all went well. Now all of a sudden nothing happens, and iPhoto doesn't recognize the camera and neither does Image Capture. Did I inadvertantly DO something, or does anybody know what happened and how to get my seamless importing back?
    iBook G4   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

Move the "com.apple.iPhoto.plist" and the "com.apple.ImageCaptureApp.plist" files from your user's "Library >Preferences" folder to the trash and reset the Image Capture preferences to recognize your camera.

    Please identify your notebook/pc .
Look at the base/rear/side of the notebook/pc at the barcoded sticker.
Post items numbered 1 and 2 on the following example of an HP notebook's barcoded sticker. Your barcode may be slightly different but will still have the important imformation needed for us to help you.  The p/n (product name)is the most important identifying information
###Do not post the serial number as it is personal information.###
Post the installed operating system version ( and whether it is 32 or 64-bit ) and whether the CPU is an AMD or Intel product.
Not posting all of the information as requested will delay our responses and slow troubleshooting of the issue that led you to author a thread.
Is your notebook/PC still within its warranty period?

  • My IPad 2 doesn't recognize the camera connection kit

My ipad2 does nit recognize my camera connection kit. Actually the kit is recognized but when I put the chip or plug in the USB camera cable nothing happens. I'm using a Sony Dsc-Tx10 camera. It worked before but now it doesn't. Please help. I'm trying to upload my pictures to my iPad.
    Thank you,
    Josie

Check it to make sure the card and tray are free of dirt or dust. (You can blow into the empty slot to clean out any dust.)
Put the SIM card back in the tray, and slide the tray back into the slot.

  • My camera doesn't work + it doesn't recognize external cameras. what's the problem here?

I set up a new windows 7 version for my laptop (probook 4510s) & the camera doesn't work + it doesn't recognize any external camera. So how to fix my camera & get it back to work?

What kind of external camera is this? I am assuming it is a USB camera? Make sure that you aren't using any USB hubs. Also try connecting it to another USB port. Have you installed the drivers from the camera manufacturer yet?
    Thanks,
    Sean

  • IPhoto doesn't recognize my camera

    I have a Canon PowerShot A3100IS
    iPhoto v9.2.3
    Mac 10.6.8
When I plug my camera into the USB and turn the camera on, nothing happens. The settings are set to open iPhoto when the camera is plugged in, and image capture settings were in place.  The computer doesn't even recognize the camera to be honest. I don't know if it is a Mac issue or an iPhoto issue.

I have almost the same problem. Sometimes it recognizes my camera, sometimes it doesn't. Oddly, connecting the camera will launch Photo, but that's where it stops; iPhoto doesn't show the camera as attached. I've tried switching USB ports, turning the camera off and back on, etc. Finder doesn't show it, either.
And now, after sitting here for 5 minutes with the camera attached, and after I typed and published the above, iPhoto just suddenly "saw" the camera. Very weird.

  • Why doesn't my MacBook Pro doesn't recognize my cameras or iPhone when I plug those in at a USB-port?

Even installing the Nikonsoftware of my camera didn't work. I've no problem connecting those equipments to my netbook with windows, but my Mac doesn't recognize either of them.

Check to see if the Mac sees them at all by opening the utility "/Applications/Utilities/System Information"
Then select "Hardware > USB" (on the left).  You can refresh the view by selecting the menu item "File > Refresh Information" or typing <CMD>+R.
Your should be able to see the devices in this list which will confirm hardware works-- USB ports are good, cables etc.  If you have installed the software try restarting.  Also try OTHER usb ports on the notebook.
After that try re-installing the drivers AFTER you make certain they are released for your version of the OS.

  • My macbook pro doesn't recognize my cameras

I have a 13 months old macbook and it won't show my fuji S5 pro camera when connected by usb cable. Even after I installed the cameras driver, the macbook still doens't reconize it. It just doens't show on the screen. Now I put my memorycards in a card reader and I bypassed the problem. BUT the other day I tried to connect my SONY handycam model DCR-TRV25E, using the Firewire 400 and guess what: my laptop doens't show the camera on screen. Accoring to the manual my macbook should recognize the camera without installing a driver. Both the Fuji and the Sony are reconized by my PC.
Now this is the second device that my macbook doens't recognize, what is the matter and can anybody help me solve this problem? Thanks very much!

I have the same problem did you get the solution and if so what was it Thanks

  • Skype doesn't recognize my camera

Whenever I make a call in skype on my MacBook Air 13", it doesn't allow me to use my camera. It shows that there is no camera whatsoever. How do I get it to recognize it?

its a known issue on 10.8.5 ,  an update is coming.
    read this link:
    http://community.skype.com/t5/Mac/OS-X-10-8-5-Broke-Skype-Video/td-p/1891729/pag e/2
Make a major update to an operating system,.... and a hiccup is possible and thats it.
The 10.8.5 update updated a CoreMediaIO plugin that accesses the MBA camera, but didn't bundle the 32-bits version of it. Other (older and newer) versions of the OS do include a universal version (32 and 64 bits), but not 10.8.5.
This means 32-bits apps such as Skype or iMovie cannot load the plugin, making the built-in facetime camera invisible to these them.

  • IPhoto doesn't recognize digital camera

I just upgraded to Leopard and now iPhoto won't recognize my Casio Exilim Z750 camera. The device actually shows up in iPhoto but it won't show the contents of the camera in order for me to download them to my system. The camera also shows up in my Finder but I'm unable to access the contents. Furthermore, I'm unable to Eject the camera and am forced to unplug it without ejecting. Not sure if I need to purchase a card reader or if I need to update the driver. I searched the Casio website and they don't have a new driver for the camera. Any suggestions?

NOTHING recognized my Canon SD700IS digital camera when I upgraded to Leopard... not iPhoto6... not Image Capture... not even the supplied Canon utilities. I hadn't changed any settings on anything... camera or computer... the only difference was that I installed Leopard. Then... thanks to this thread... I thought to check system profiler... and nope... not even seen there. So I tried moving my USB cord from my 7 port USB 2.0 hub to a port directly in the back of my iMac. That solved the problem. Kind of annoying since it worked fine under Tiger.

  • Photo Booth doesn't recognize logitech camera

I have a logitech camera, it works with Skype, iChat and is recognized by Photo Booth but the screen (photo booth screen) is black. If I take a picture, it counts down but then nothing. The camera works in all other apps. If I remove my Elgato Hybrid, then it works...nothing else I have tried, helps. Any suggestions?

I downgraded the photo booth app using pacifist to an older version and it now works fine after experiencing the same issues you report.
This was on a G4 MDD upgraded to 10.5.8. I installed Photo BOoth 1.0 and now works fine. 10.5.8 Photo Booth version is 2.0.3.
