Facetime for macbook calling iphone4

i just downloaded facetime to my macbook with os version 10.6.7, Im trying to call my wife on her iphone4 and facetime keeps saying she is not available for facetime
any ideas?

FaceTime for Macbook Pro has suddenly stopped working. Everytime I try to call one of my contacts it says FaceTime failed, and also whenever someone tries to call me. at the time i use my FaceTime for mac it works but on the 4th time I log in, after my account is verified,after a few seconds there's a message that says " the server encountered an error processing registration. please try again later" so how to fix it? I also create a new account but it didn't work also

You can keep it in the dock by right click (control + click) on the FaceTime icon, then click Options, and the click Keep in Dock.

Your username should be the folder name assigned to your user account, and it's located in the /Macintosh HD/Users/ folder. If you don't know the password then you will have to reset it.

FaceTime for macbook pro not connecting

I am currently deployed. My FaceTime used to work out here but now it doesn't. When I attempt to make a call it says connecting and then it beeps 3 times and drops the call.

So after I updated my software and restarted my computer, Facetime is now working! I was able to see my witness my daughter's birth! Update your software! This should fix the issue!

When using facetime, how many people can you be connectedto at once? The reason I ask this question is, I am wanting to conduct teleconference meetings with my staff who are spread out throughout the state and I would like to be able to have seven people in total connected to facetime at once.

Currently only one person. A lot of users want to be able to FT multiple users.

Facetime activated, could call other iphone4 and iMac but couldn't connect

I have 2 iphone 4s, the new one i bought last week for my wife can activate facetime, could call to Facetime for Mac, call facetime to another iphone 4 in the same wifi network. But it keep saying 'connecting' but never connected.
From Facetime Mac I can never call this phone though.
The network should be no problem as another iphone 4 no any issue on facetime.
I tried almost all methods I could find but none of them work, reset, restart...
Any suggestion appreciated.

I believe it's Apple facetime server's issue. Actually I refreshed my wife's iphone 4, then instead of restore from backup, I tried to make it a new phone. Facetime worked (one day or two days!).
After reinstalled lots of apps, later Monday when I tried to call her from office, facetime no longer work again. Definitely Apple facetime server has problem.

Yes.
Note that iPhone must be using iOS4.1 (or later) to FaceTime to Mac (or iPod touch).
On your Mac in your wi-fi area, click "Contacts", find and click on his iPhone's number. If he is connected to compatible wi-fi, he will get your invitation.

Same iMessage/ Facetime for iPad, iPhone, MacBook Pro

Hello everybody,
I'm having issues with my iPhone / Macbook Pro and iPad as I want to have the same iMessage and Facetime for these 3 devices.
(It means receiving a message/call at the same time on my iPhone, Macbook Pro and my iPad.)
I tried to enter the same ID but it says that my email is already in use... =@
For sure it is in use !!
I've configured my iPhone with my Apple ID and my Gmail account (+ phone number) and I want to use also my Gmail account on my iPad and my MBP so as to receive on my 3 devices the same message and sync at the same time...
If someone is trying to reach me, he won't know if I'm near my iPad xor my iPhone xor my MBP... !!!!
If we can't have the same process running on these 3 devices and sync at the same time, it's very stupid and unproductive... !
Please, could somebody help me out ?

Firstly, I logged into my apple id a/c and cleaned up, deleted, the email accounts that were associated with the account that were several awaiting verification. I then added and verified from within the apple id the relevant emails that I needed. The tip here is to create the emails first, google lets you create multiple emails, as do others i believe.
I had set up gmail accounts for mynameipad@gmail, mynameimac@gmail, mynameairbook@gmail, so basically you need to have a separate email for each device.
Then within Face Time settings on each device, use same apple id but under "you can be reached by face time at:" you add the relevant email that you want people to use to call you on that device.
Also I tuned off some settings within mackeeper, like safe browsing (if u have this i'd suggest you deinstall it first, see other topics on mackeep) as this was causing the face time connection from my macair to fail.

Please explain how an iPad purchased by you in the US was intended TO BE SOLD BY APPLE IN QATAR, and the same for an iPhone BROUGHT IN FROM THE UK. iOS devices intended to be sold by Apple in Qatar are shipped by Apple direct to Qatar - direct to an official carrier or carriers or an official retailer if there are any there.
I also provided this, WHICH YOU OBVIOUSLY MISSED.
Since your iOS devices were intended for sale by Apple in a country where FaceTime isn't restricted by the government, you had and should have access to FaceTime on those iOS devices.
If not after iOS 6 was installed, call AppleCare or whichever official retailer or carrier in the country handles service for and troubleshooting for iOS devices.

If you make a call then tap the Facetime button to connect Facetime, the duration of call up to Facetime connection will be charged under your regular airtime. However, duration during facetime conversation will not consume airtime.
But if you tap the Facetime button on the Contact Page, then the whole duration will not consume airtime.
For Facetime to work, both parties must be connected to wifi.

I have a MacBook Pro Retina display: 15.4-inch late 2015 with OS X Mavericks install, only on second week.
Insight works on FaceTime, Skype, but yahoo program does not show insight cam in dropped down.
Now when I got my new MacBook Pro, I down loaded all new Skype (worked tested), FaceTime (Worked Tested), Yahoo (not worked)
Fix:
With the new Maverick you have to use there messager program Version 8.0 (4218). Once I add my yahoo account video works again.
It also supported AOL, AIM, Google Talk, Jabber.
Guess I miss it frist time... hope this helps...

You don't download it. it is built in to your iphone, unless it was originally purchased from one of the Middle eastern countries where it is not allowed.
