Facetime is not working. . The comment box says to check the network connection. But my wifi is on. So don't understand why facetime is not working

If it says CHECK NETWORK CONNECTION, it means you are not connected to wifi or NO SIGNAL IS BEING PICK UP BY YOU IPHONE 4S. Another possible solution is re-set your wifi router by pulling out the power cord from wifi router for about 20 seconds and put it back on wait for about 1-2 minutes cuz some wifi router takes time to re-set.

If you can't enter the passcode then you have to place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore the iPod via iTunes. For ecovery mode see:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore
Note that this requires using the sleep/wake button. If you are not successful then there is nothing else that I know you can do.

I just installed 4.0 but I cannot see the Home icon at the top anymore because it quickly allowed me to do so with earlier versions. All I see now is the address line and the webpage that is open. If I want to go to my home page, I either have to type in google.ca or click on it under Bookmarks. Your earlier version of Firefox allowed me to see a Home page icon at the top left and simply click on it. Any help, thanks.

I have the ipad 3, and just last night had to reboot and do the upgrade, now my texting and facetime on it is not working...it states that when I click to activate it, and put in my user id(email) and passcode....that" could not sign in...please chekc network connection and try again".....well my Wifi connection is fine, and i can text and facetime fine from my iphone..just not the ipad now.....any ideas why it will not take my user id and passcode?...the passcode works fine on my iphone.

As the error message says, you computer cannot connect to the network.
It is difficult for us to give advice since we do not know your network setup. Try the network diagnostics utility:
Open System Preferences -> Network ;
At the bottom of the window is a button labelled "Assist me", press it, then in the drop down panel press "Diagnostics" and inspect your network status.
