Facetime - Living in dubai going to move to AUS

I got an iphone like months when it just released didnt really use it...as i didnt have a micro sim at the time
To the point. If i activate from itunes (iphone) since im living in UAE will facetime be kicked off? (the phone was bought from UK)
Or should i just wait till i get to Australia and activate it there?
Please reply...As ill be moving in a matter of a few days so i wanted to confirm

No, it shouldn't, as the FaceTime block is done through the phone's IMEI number based on where the phone was originally purchased. If you purchased the phone in the UK, FaceTime should shoe up with no issues.

I'm not that familiar with how FaceTime works. I know how to set It up but I don't use it. I just know that you can't activate in the UAE. I believe that you can activate in any country that permits it's use. Whether you will need a new ID or not, I can't confirm.
You can Google this and get all sorts of articles on workarounds. Apparently if you set up a VPN you can use it in the UAE. Here is one article that I found.

You most likely ran a defective third-party "utility" such as "CleanMyMac" or "MacCleanse" that purports to "clean up" "junk" files. What it really does is to corrupt the operating system and many applications.
The first thing you need to do is remove that software according to the developer's instructions. Never install it, or anything like it, again. Then see below.
If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data, then reinstall the OS.* You don't need to erase the startup volume, and you won't need the backup unless something goes wrong. If the system was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you may need the Apple ID and password you used.
If you use FileVault 2, then before running the Installer you must launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the FileVault startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) It will be nested below another icon with the same name. Click the Unlock button in the toolbar and enter your login password when prompted. Then quit Disk Utility to be returned to the main Recovery screen.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
If you installed the Java runtime distributed by Apple and still need it, you'll have to reinstall it. The same goes for Xcode. All other data will be preserved.

The censorship in regards to certain apps not being available in your country is by your country, not by Apple.
Due to various laws and licensing in each country, in order to have an iTunes store account in a particular country you must have a credit card with a billing address in that country. If this were up to Apple, there would be no such requirement and there would be only one iTunes store for the entire world, but various laws, regulations, and licensing issues in each country, this is required by Apple.

Yes, I was right -- you have a single loop where you generate data points and display them. Consider the operation of your program if you do not display the data as a Chart, but instead simply display (as an indicator) the most recent value. The loop will go into your sub-VI, wait the appropriate time to generate a point, return, display, and immediately call the sub-VI again. Fine, it should run at the speed of the sub-VI.
Now add the Chart. Same thing happens, but now you move the Chart. The top-level routine, tasked with displaying the Chart, needs to use additional time to repaint the Front Panel, so it take it. Now when you call the sub-VI again, time has elapsed.
What you need to do is to run two loops in parallel, so-called Producer-Consumer Design Pattern. Have your sub-VI return a Waveform (not a Chart). This loop becomes the Producer -- all it does is "produce" a Waveform at whatever rate the sub-VI specifies. Create a Queue of Waveforms outside this loop, and enqueue the Waveform onto it. In a parallel loop (usually written below the Producer Loop), write the Consumer loop, into which you pass the same Queue. Here you Dequeue the (latest) Waveform and display it on the Chart.
Now, while this runs, move the Chart. The Consumer loop will be delayed (because you are refreshing its Front Panel), but the Producer loop, running in parallel, just keeps going, putting more points on the Queue. When the Consumer finishes its Front Panel update, it blithely plots whatever is on the Queue. If you look carefully at the traces being plotted, you should notice that when you move the Chart, the plotting temporarily stops, then the "missing" points are speedily plotted and plotting resumes at whatever rate it was before you moved things. This is the power of parallel processing and LabVIEW.

When someone facetimes me it also goes to husbands phone

We have 2 numbers on apple account so when someone facetimes me it also goes to husbands phone. We have gotten into settings and made sure there was only a check mark by our own numbers but this did not solve the problem. Also when I try to facetime someone it says facetime has failed. Help!

I have made 3 attempts to burn an IDVD Slideshow with no movie.It skips the slideshow and goes to movie then error multiplexing msg .Help

I have tried 3 times to burn a slideshow to IDVD and get the multiplexing msg toward the end. I notice that it skips the slideshow process and goes to the movie burn. Have not movie in the slideshow. Help

I had the same problem and solve it using this sequence. Here you go:
1) Delete all old iDVD projects that you couldn't burn under the same name;
2) Reboot your PC;
3) Quit all open applications (check if any is open at "Force Quit");
4) Go to: Users/Library/Caches and delete folder com.apple.idvd
5) Go to: Users/Library/Preference and delete file com.apple.idvd.lists
6) Insert a blank DVD;
7) Go to "Applications" and open iDVD (don't open it from any previous iDVD project);
8) Select " Create new project" and prepare your project;
9) Go to iDVD Preferences / Advance / Burning Speed: and select 4x ;
10) Go to menu "Advance" and deselect "Encode in Background";
11) At the same above menu, click "Delete encoded projects" and select OK (ignore alert messages);
12) Select "Burn" and... no more problems!

Facetime wont connect - whats going on?

can't get facetime to connect on my mac - just rings and rings. on the 'other' side, just shows 'connecting' but it never does. installed the latest update from the app store - no change...

I am going to move out for college next year, should I get my own apple ID?

My whole family shares the same apple ID, including one sister who is already moved out. If I understand correctly only 5 computers can be associated with an apple ID. So my thoughts are that as each of my siblings and I move out over the years and eventually have our own familys we will need to associate more and more computers with whatever apple ID we are using. So, it looks like we will need to creat our own apple IDs eventually.
So if all that is correct, I guess my question is this: How can I keep all my familys music, apps, etc. (from the account we all currently use) and set up my own account? Because it seems that if I create my own account that I will lose access to all of the stuff we have already purchased.

you have to create a new one...but you cannot transfer your purchases from the old account to the new one...its not allowed because only your old account owns the music purchased

Problem with Video going to Movie Section of iPod. Can't Remove.

Here's the deal:
I have an iPod-friendly video I want to store in my 60GB iPod Video. I create a new playlist in iTunes and put the video(s) in that new playlist. I play them under:
Main Menu > Videos > Video Playlists > *Playlist Name* > *Video Clip*
It plays fine. I want to get rid of those videos to make room for other content. I can delete the playlist through iTunes, but I find that these videos are still in my iPod under:
Main Menu > Videos > Movies
How can I completely (other than wiping my iPod clean) get rid of these videos individually?

Deleting from a playlist in iTunes simply removes the video from the playlist. You have to actually delete the video through the iTunes "Library" or "Videos" section. Then when you sync the iPod they will be gone.

Facetime call goes to someone else?

okay so i sold my iPhone 5 months ago on ebay. i deleted everything from it before i shipped it out. but when my friend FaceTimes me, it sometimes goes to the guy who bought it. its been so long that i sold it that i cant find it on my history on eBay. the call will either go to my Macbook or it will go to him. she clicks on my iTunes email but it sometimes goes to him. how is this possible? i deleted my info off the phone and i also unregistered everything from iTunes. any help?

i did that. all that was shown was my old ipad mini, an old ipod, and an old iphone 4 and 3GS but i dont see the iphone 5. when i sold it, i sold it as jailbroken. i didnt fully wipe the device. i used some jailbreak tools that kinda did like a factory reset but still kept the jailbreak. before i shipped it, i know my itunes account wasnt on it. would not fully wiping it could have caused this?

Hi, I have upgraded my laptop to mountain lion nad im having an issue with facetime. Im trying to call my mom which is using an iPad 2 through facetime but it keeps going off after 2 or 3 minutes and my wifi will disconect and after 5-10 seconds it will connect again but if I try to call back it will go off again ! any solutions ?

Facetime disabled.... how to enable it?

I bought my Iphone 5 online and had it delivered to Dubai on 20th Dec 12.
The Facetime I am given to understand is disabled before it is shipped to Dubai.
I will be moving to Canada in 6 months time, and wanted to know if Factime could be enabled and if yes how?

If Facetime is not on the phone when you get it and it has been disabled to use in Middle Easter Countries where is it banned, then I don't think that you can enable it.
If you are moving to Canada in 6 months time and want a phone with Facetime enabled, then you'll have to buy a new phone when you move to Canada. This might be a better option if you are going to move to Canda and want to use the phone in Canada. You can buy unlocked phones in Canada and the warranty will be valid for Canada too.

My challenge: recovering original iWeb files from 2010-2011 timeframe, which included a blog consisting of original postings from me and comments posted to the web from family and friends. I have the web archive files - but did not move iWeb files then.

Background: I started this blog while living overseas and going to sea with the Navy. Missed the opportunity to move the iWeb files with content attached from the mobile.me server to another server. Now, I have the original web archive files - good - but not the comments added to them by family and friends - bad.
My ultimate objective is to create a hard-cover bound book of these files with the comments on the blog ... they document a rather significant experience in my family's life ... to do this, I need to recover the original files with postings.
Any thoughts or insight would be sincerely appreciated!

You have replied to a post that is a month old now and the OP has never replied, so you are probably wasting your time here.
If you read the OP's post and my reply, you will see that he will not be able to recover his blog and neither will you.
If your Mac was stolen and you did not back up your iWeb domain.sites files, then you CANNOT get your blog back.
If you published your site to a host/server, then you can download it back onto your Mac and you will have to re-build your blog/website from scratch and re-publish, but all your replies and responses to posts will be lost and you can never get these back.
My advice would be to re-create your blog in another format such as WordPress.com which is free and don't use iWeb again.
There are plenty of alternatives out there.

I dont know what you mean with officially sold and I hope you will buy notebook in PC store and not on the street. As far as I know every new notebook has one year international warranty but if you will stay longer you can buy warranty extension. It must be buying by authorized service partner in your country.
If you have troubles in Australia go to service partner and they will check if the unit is stolen or official soled. After that it can be repaired. As I said, contact Authorized Toshiba service partner in Russia and ask for warranty extension.
