Facetime missing from my iPhone 5.
I had Facetime on my iPhone 5 until my yesterday. I have no restrictions on my iPhone. I restarted my iPhone. Nothing. A possible culprit for my MIA Facetime is my sync with iTunes, which I always do daily. Any suggestions?
FaceTime is not a separate app on the iPhone, if it's not hidden via Settings > General > Restrictions > FaceTime being 'off' then you should be able to do FaceTime calls either by selecting the person that you want to call in the Contacts app and scrolling to the bottom of their details and tapping the FaceTime button, or you can do it via the Contacts tab in the Phone app.
If FaceTime doesn't appear in Restrictions then where was the phone bought ? FaceTime is not available on phones bought in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, and possibly a few other countries.

Restore from previous backup, be sure use the same iTunes and account you used to store your stuff into your device.

iPhones sold in the Middle East in countries where facetime is not banned by law will have it disabled if it's used with a foreign SIM or taken out of the country of origin.

Hi,
Just got the iPad 3 which is our first and we were messing around with FaceTime between this and our iPhone 4s. The problem was we can FaceTime the mobile but we kept getting a message flag that the iPad wasn't available.
After much deliberation and googling we have managed to get the iPad to at least ring when we FaceTime it from the iPhone but the new problem is it rings for half a second giving no one a chane to answer.
Can anyone suggest anything else?
So far we have checked in setting that all sounds are enabled, put slide switch to mute then flicked the mute button up and down on the side of the iPad above the volume and also changed the DNS numbers on both mobile devices to ensure they sync but I am still having the same problem.

Facetime dispaeared from the iphone
I have purchased an iphone and Ipadmin, when signing up for facetime at the ipadmini the facetime dispaeared from the iphone. The application itself but its options are still listed in the iphone menu
You don't specify which iPhone you have and what iOS you are running but FaceTime in not an app now, you need to go into your contact and select FaceTime from within. I would also like to point out that FaceTime is not available in the Middle East due to Government restrictions however I did note you said you did have it, therefore have you checked settings>restrictions>FaceTime and turned in ON.

The iPhone can not be legally sold in Iran. It most likely came from a country in the Middle East. If it came from a Middle Eastern country where it is not banned by law, it would be disabled when the phone was taken out of that country to prevent its use in countries where it is not permitted.

the key is to call the mobile no. (with which you registered the iphone) using the ipad or call the apple id you have on the ipad from iphone. But you have to sign out from the apple id from the facetime option in the iphone. -
