FaceTime no longer working after 4.3.4 software update.

I updated my ipod touch to 4.3.4 and ever since facetime no longer connects with the other person. I click call and it says the persons name and directly underneath it says "FaceTime..." as if it were calling the person, but it clearly is not. Somebody please help!

3. restart mac and device which you share intenet to
then you have internet that is about 3x slower than the da 10.7.3 intenet sharing, but works
then, just wait for apple to release da 10.7.4 fixed

Iphone 4s facetime no longer works after sim card change

Hi Folks,
Having had issues with my SIM card (I was getting invalid SIM daily) my provider swapped the SIM and ported the number to a new card.
Since doing this however Facetime no longer works or the find iphone ability through iCloud - just says that its not available. Phone is
working fine on everything else. Is there some sort of registration I need to go through with the new SIM card?

Facetime No Longer Works After 4.3.4 Update

Has anyone else experienced this issue on their iPhone?
After my wife upgraded her iPhone 4 to 4.3.4 her FaceTIme no longer sends a video signal. My iPhone 4 upgraded without a hitch, but hers doesn't send a video signal at all. She cannot see herself in her little window either. She can see and hear me.... .and I can hear her.... but not visuals.

1. Copy something into the clipboard (doesn't matter what it is)
2. Open Google maps
3. Try to paste into the search bar. You don't get the paste option.
4. Try to type something into the search bar then attempt to copy what you just typed. No options appear to copy what was just typed in.
This used to work prior to the 4.2 update. Very useful when receiving incomplete addresses via text message or from a web page.

Volume and Eject Keys No Longer Work After Boot Camp 2.1 Update

Earlier this evening I allowed the Apple Software Update app in Windows to update Boot Camp to version 2.1. I allowed the computer to restart following a successful installation of the update. I've restarted two more times since then. Ever since the update (including before the computer restarted for the first time following the update), the volume and eject keys on my keyboard don't work. I also have an Apple Wireless Keyboard (one of the 2003-2007 era white/clear ones) and it exhibits the same problem. Both keyboards otherwise work fine. The computer also otherwise works fine, and there's no evidence of any driver problems.
Some other potentially relevant information:
1- The Boot Camp icon is no longer present in the Windows System Tray.
2- The Boot Camp Control Panel is still present in the Windows Control Panel and it works fine.
3- All settings in the Boot Camp Control panel are unchanged from their defaults. In particular, I have confirmed that "Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys" is still unchecked.
4- The Windows Device Manager properly recognizes both keyboards as Apple Keyboards.
I'm using Windows Vista Ultimate on an early 2008 MacBook; system specs are in my signature. Any ideas?

Ah, the joy of working with computers...:( Apparently, from my woes with the same problem, the Apple Keyboard Manager is rightfully entered into the Run directory in the Windows registry at HKLM/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version/Run.
Why it doesn't start I still have to find out, but this may be because I have Parallels Workstatio installed as well and switch back between a virtualized Windows and a Bootcamp Windows. However, after installing Bootcamp 2.1 first and then SP3 IN THE BOOTCAMP ENVIRONMENT everything seems to work, except the Energy Options taskbar icon and Apple Keyboard Manager.
Will keep you posted on any progress I make.
Apple Support, BTW, was absolutely abysmal, with them even refusing to accept the ticket at all, on the grounds that they have no knowledge about Windows. Apple, get your support fixed!

Wireless printing no longer working after installing HP 2.7 update

I have been using wireless printing from my Macbook Pro (running Lion OSx 10.7.2) fine until yesterday when it just stopped working out of nowhere. From looking on the forums it appears that this is probably a result of the HP 2.7 update (which I also had the issue of continuously re-appearing in my software update list even after installing it multiple times - though i was able to resolve this courtesy of this forum). OK, before you dive any more into the registry, a simple question. Did you try uninstalling iTunes, rebooting, and re-installing iTunes?
I do have an entry for 'iTunes.Application.1' (below). However, I'm sure there are many more registry entries related to iTunes. In other words, adding this entry will probably not be sufficient to restore the COM functionality.

My car dock is no longer working after iOS 4.3.2 update...help!!

I have an after market car dock that normally plays music through my car speakers and charges my iphone. After the most recent iOS update it still charges but does not play music. Any ideas?

Sometimes after iOS updates older tech or even off brand tech may not be supported. I use an older Griffin car charger with an iPhone & iPad and it won't charge because it is not supported. Maybe get a new dock or an Apple approved product, it kinda irritates me as well not being able to use off brand tech. Its cheaper than brand name products...

IPhone no longer works after iOS 5.0.1 update

My iPhone 4 no longer recognizes its SIM card after updating from iOS 5.0 to 5.0.1.
I followed the instructions in the article on the official Apple support site. Removing and reinserting the SIM card did not help, so I used iTunes to reset the iPhone.
The result is that after switching on, the iPhone tells me that there is no SIM card in the slot (even if there there is) and that I should insert a SIM card with no PIN lock into the slot.
I do not have a SIM card with no PIN lock.
My phone company only distributes SIM cards with a PIN lock.
What can I do now?

I had this issue too. I did an OTA update.
I tried turning off my iPhone, removed and reinserted my SIM and turning it on again a few times without success. I also inserted my wife's SIM, it was OK. When I tried with mine again, it was not. I also tried going in and out of Airplane Mode too without success.
Afte a bit of trial and error, I finally got it to work.
What I did was:
1. Turn off WIFI.
2. Turn off my iPhone.
3. Removed and reinserted my SIM.
4. Turned on my iPhone. Almost immediately I saw the "3G" indicator and after a couple of seconds, my SIM worked!
5. Turned WIFI back on.
From my issue, it seems the iOS 5.0.1 update got "confused" with the network setup.

Prestage content no longer working after SCCM 2012 R2 CU1 update

I run SCCM 2012 R2 CU1 on a Windows 2008 R2 server.
I upgraded to CU1 in June, and today is the first time I've attempted to pre-stage a package since then. After pre-staging my package and getting the content out to the target DP, I went to properties of the DP, checked the box "Enable this
distribution point for prestage content", then hit Ok.
Next I went to distribute the content to the DP, however after going thru the wizard, nothing changes. There is no pending status, waiting on prestage content, that I had seen in the past when doing this task. I can go in and run the wizard
again, and the target DP shows up in the list, like I'd never initiated the push before.
Normal (non-prestaged) distributions work fine.
In troubleshooting this, I also noticed that I looking at the site status of the target DP, there are no status message entries for since I upgraded to CU1 (for that matter, none of my DP's have any entries since CU1). I did see a similar issue like
this in the forums

Gmail no longer works after iOS 6.1.3 update

I just updated my iPad 3 to iOS 6.1.3 and immediately noticed that when I tried to open the mail client, it would launch and shut off. Turns out that I had to delete all of my gmail accounts and then the mail client worked. I tried to add the gmail accounts back but now I get the following error:
The IMAP server "imap.gmail.com" is not responding. Check your network connection and that you entered the correct information in the "Incoming Mail Server" field.
The strange part is that I also updated my iPhone 5 and everything works fine, including gmail! I check the setting between the two devices and they are the same.
Apparently, many have reported these types of issues over the past few days. However, I've yet to see a solution. Apple hasn't seemed to have responded at all.

Not sure what the issue is...like I said, my iPhone works fine with the 6.1.3 upgrade, the iPad doesn't...only after the updgrade. Additionally, other's have reported the same issue with gmail.

Safari no longer works after the 10.5.3 Update.

I'm apparently having the same problem with Safari that I've noticed many other people on here are having.
When I try to open Safari after having installed the 10.5.3 Update it goes straight to "Application Not Responding" and I have to force it to quit.
So I figured a fresh Safari 3.1.1. install would do the trick. However, when I try to install that it tells me "You cannot install Safari on this volume. This update requires Mac OS X 10.5.2 or newer." at the select a destination step.
I haven't been able to solve my problem through the things I read in any of the other similar threads. Help?

Tile Vertically no longer works after Acrobat 10.1.10 update.

Is anyone else having the same issue? I open 5-10 PDFs at a time, and then hit Ctrl-Shift-L to Tile them Vertically, and it Tiles them Horizontally instead. Even choosing it directly from the menu (the slow way) doesn't work. Tile Horizontally still tiles them horizontally, but that's not helpful to me.

Droid Pro not working after yesterday's system software update

I downloaded it last night and now my Outlook exchange mail account shows no messages. I can send an email from my Droid Pro Outlook account but it does not receive any.
Checked with corporate IT and there were no changes overnight to our corporate email system. My personal POP mail still works. Also Calendar is not syncing from corporate back to the Droid or from the Droid.
Even more disturbing is the phone is running Hot and I can not get the charge above 20%
I have restarted several times and all the settings are pre update.

I think you interrupted the update. The behavior you describe happened to me as well, but the update eventually finished.
I would unplug the Apple TV for 30 seconds or so to see if that helps.

Many Apps are no longer working after webOS 1.4 update! - please help!

Many of my previously working Palm Pre Apps are no longer working after the webOS 1.4 update.
Here are the ones that just return a blank/white screen after launching so far:
SplashID
Daily Devo
Daily Light (Love)
Absolute Fitness (some options no longer work correctly & are returning a white screen and some options are working)
These are just a few of the Apps that I am having problems with and there are probably many others. I have also sent emails/posted to forums on the developer sites to advise. Hopefully I will hear something back soon.
Anyone else experiencing this issue as well with any Apps?

SplashID on my Sprint Pre is showing just a blank screen after starting it and entering my password. I see no update for it in the App Catalog.
EDIT: Never mind. It appears that it only did that on the first launch. I closed it and restarted it, and now the screen in SplashID is correct.
