Facetime not ringing but saying missed call

I am using an IPAD mini with latest op. system-WIFI only. Trying to facetime another IPAD with latest op. system. That ipad has cellular and wifi service.
It is ringing on my end but does not connect. The other end-never rings but after the call is ended, facetime reports a missed call.
It worked when we were both on the same wifi, in my home. However, it won't work once we are off the same wifi network. any thougths?

IPhone 5s won't ring or show missed calls

I have a a new iPhone 5s, and new service with Virgin. Its been working fine for the past month. Suddenly, today it stopped ringing on incoming calls. Neither, does the phone vibrate. Additionally, incoming calls do not show in the "Missed Call" log. If the caller leaves a voice-mail, that will show, and I will get my audible notification. The phone is not in "mute" and the "Do Not Disturb" is not turned on. The volume is turned all the way up. All other sound-features are working. The software is up-to-date. I've tried calling my phone from a land-line at my office, as well as a cell-phone from another provider. My bill was paid in full 4 days ago. I have tried turning the phone off completely, twice, and the issues persists. Some advice I've read here said to reset the phone. But several users stated that this did not fix the problem. Prior to this phone, I used an iPhone 4, for four years, and never had this problem. Help! I missed my phone-call interview for the Dream Job I have been shooting for for ten years. I HAVE to resolve this before my rescheduled interview on Monday. Please help!!

You need to reset your iphone settings by go to setting opetion.

Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Try reseating or replacing the SIM card.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).

Is Preview open? Copy/paste the following into Terminal in Utilities and hit return. Look through the output, which may give you a clue as to what is open.

Thank you for the question. It sounds like there is no sound with an incoming phone call or text. Have you checked to see if Do Not Disturb was accidentally enabled? You will see a "moon" icon in the status bar if it is enabled.
You can disable Do Not Disturb in Settings > Do Not Disturb or in the Control Center as described in the following articles:

Since upgrading to 4.3.3 my iphone 3gs does not ring when receiving a call and the keyboard clicks have gone.

My phone does not ring when receiving a call. It then goes to voicemail and doesn't show a missed call.

I have an iPhone 4. When someone tries to call me, the phone sometimes(most of the time now) does not ring. It will roll over to voicemail but does not show a missed call. Has anyone had this same thing happen and how did you get it rectified?

My wife's iphone 4 also has your same no ring problem as does my iphone 5 just less often. I called her iphone 4 at home from where I work 20 miles away on my iphone 5. With her phone in 3G mode ONE call went through and 9 went to voice mail in 10 tries. This is a 10% sucess rate!! I also could listen in real time from the wired work phone and the wired home phone. She turned off 3G mode and it went to "O" mode at the top left of the screen after the ATT. In this mode it rang on the first ring tone 5 times out of 5 tries which is 100% of the time. I have learned that the calling party will hear up to 4 ring tones when placing a call on the ATT network. If the ring tone changes volume slightly before the 4th ring then and only then will the cell phone start to ring. If the ring tone does not change after the 4th ring you get voice mail. If the calling party does not leave a voice message there is never a missed call displayed on the iphone. If the calling party does leave a voice message a few minutes later the iphone dings for arriving voice mail but still no missed call indication.
This appears to be related to the time of day and the ATT tower that the receiving caller is using. Tried other towers and it works in 3G mode 10 times out of 10 tries. Apple replaced the first iphone 4 with a new phone, no improvement. ATT replaced the SIM card and no improvement. ATT so far is clue less. This has been going on every since we got the new iphones which is 4 months. The ATT web site also describes this same problem from several years ago. Has anyone got better information?

I have a quad set of BT7600 phones, and for some reason these have stopped ringing. This has been like this for a couple of months but I've been away so we have relied on mobiles for this time.
When I say 'stopped ringing' I mean just the noise - the phones show the caller display fine and you can answer the phone and speak to the caller if you see the incoming call - just no ring tone. Outgoing calls and ansaphone messages are also still fine.
I have BT infinity with the filtered socket - I have removed the faceplate and connected my master phone into this with the same result, everything fine except ringtone. I have also tried another cordless phone at the test socket with the same result (Eurotel elite 2825).
Any ideas how I can get this checked out? I'm pretty sure it must be wiring/settings fault outside the house because I've tested with 2 different phones at the master test socket.
Please don't ask me to call the indian no-help-line. I love my BT products, but over the years I've had so many lies and rubbish from them that if they are the only recourse to resolving the problem then I'll move to talk-talk or whoever - even if the service is inferior as long as it doesn't involve BT India.

Phone does not ring when I get calls

My phone does not ring when I receive incoming calls since I upgraded software to IOS 7.

I tried that just now and it doesn't seem to have fixed it--but it is not a constant problem--just sometimes! I received a call from a friend when do not disturb was turned off but also when it was on! That was really strange!
Now I am trying to figure out why my camera flash won't work!!
Yikes crazy stuff going on with my phone since I updated the software!.

Not sure if it si a bug, when you recieve a missed call, in notification center you cannot clear your missed calls at all.

If a phone call is received from a number not in my conatcts list, the phone does not ring.

COnnect your iphone to your computer. Once itunes detects your iphone it will ask you if you want to restore and update. Click on that and follow the dirction

My microphone is not working but only for calls

I had my Iphone working perfectly until I updated to 4.3.1 after that I lost the microphone but only for calls when I use Skype, Video recording and may other features that uses microphone all of them worked. I did restore again to 4.3.1 and make a new fresh installation without recovering my data so now I'm not only without phone features but also need to load all of my data again. This occurs most of the time but about 2 of 10 calls the people can hear me so I think this must be related to baseband update or hadware issue.

Might try setting the option in System Preferences > Sound > Input tab > check "use ambient noise reduction"
