FaceTime not showing in settings...

iPhone 4.  6.0.1 software.  FaceTime appears when I place a call, but "greyed out."  When I go to settings to activate it, it is not listed (on my other phone it is right below messages, on this phone it lists messages, then maps).  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Forgot to mention...yes, on wifi...

  • Facetime - not showing in settings or contacts

Hi - I originally did a restore and facetime wasn't showing on my iphone. I read on here that there were sometimes issues when a restore had been performed so i started from scratch and it's still not there.
    I've checked settings, enabled/disable restrictions - nothing.
    Can anyone help?

On my phone you can get to FaceTime by going to: Settings/Phone/FaceTime.
Try that and let me know if this helped.

My ipod does not show update settings in the About section how can i  get the update ios5 in order to get facebook on my ipod how can i do this

    To update
The Settings>General>Software Update comes with iOS 5 and later.
Connect the iPod to your computer and update via iTunes as far as your iPod model allows
iOS: How to update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
A 1G iPod can go to iOS 2.2 via iTunes and iOS 3.1.3 via

A 2G to 4.2.1. Requires iTunes version 10.X. If a Mac it requires OSX 10.5.8 or later. With OSX 10.4.11 you can only go to iTunes 9.X which gets you as high as iOS 4.1
A 3G to 5.1.1  Requires iTunes version 10.5 or later
A 4G to 6  Requires iTunes version 10.7 or later. For a Mac, that requires a Mac with OSX 10.6.8 or later

I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1.
    iPod touch (3rd generation)
iPod touch (3rd generation) features a 3.5-inch (diagonal) widescreen multi-touch display and 32 GB or 64 GB flash drive. You can browse the web with Safari and watch YouTube videos with Wi-Fi. You can also search, preview, and buy songs from the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store on iPod touch.

Looks like something is wrong in my iphone. apps like 1Password is not able to lookup in my icloud drive and are giving me the error message "icloud drive not available : icloud access is restricted by parental controls or device management"

Hi, I have tried these steps already. like i said before, I can see iclouddrive in icloud.com and icloud app in Windows. But it is not showing only in my iphone. I am not getting an option called "icloud drive" in Settings -> icloud.

  • I was sent a url. Instead of Safari, it opened blank app store window; today, app shows 1 update available: GLIDE. Never downloaded it, not showing in settings?

I received an a text including a shrunk URL.  I unshrunk the URL, www.glide.com.  I then pressed link in message.  Instead of opening Safari, a blank App store window opened.  Later I noticed an update available in the app store.  The update was for GLIDE video messaging app.  I NEVER INSTALLED IT, and IT DOES NOT SHOW UP IN SETTINGS.  any ideas???

If you are completely confident that you didn't hide it, then you purchased those with different apple id. If you completely confident that you purchases with same apple id then you have hidden it. One of the other or you are speaking about a miracle. While miracles are possible they are not very likely. • HT201328 Face Time is not showing in Settings

I used my iPhone 4 in Bahrain with Viva Carrier. In bahrain that Face Time is working well , but when I chenge the sim in India with Vodaphone Carreir , Face Time option is not coming in settings. Please help me to enable my Face Time With Indian Sim

If you bought the phone in the UAE or KAS FaceTime has been disabled by law in those countries and there is no way to get Facetime on that phone

  • Facetime not showing missed calls with 7.0.4

I bought my iPad 2 March 2012. I can't remember when, but just a few month after I bought it, the facetime doesn't show missed calls. There is not 'red badge' on Facetime' icon. I kind of 'fixed' it by restart the iPad (please note, I restart the iPad, not the facetime). The problem went away, but after a couple of days, it came back.
I installed 7.0.4 recently and hope it would fix the problem, but no luck. The Facetime still not showing the missed calls. However, there are behavior changes:
    1. even though the 'red badge' doesn't show up, if I open facetime, there is a missed call log.
2.if I open Facetime and then push the home button, the 'red badge' with correct number of missed calls then shows up.
I took the iPad to the Apple Store for 2 times and they erased everything and re-install the iOs and even firmware from scratch. I didn't back it up from either icloud or my computer to avoid restoring the bugs back. It works fine at the beginning, but the next day, the problem came back again.
The technician at the Apple Store gave up and said I may have to wait for another iOs update....
Does anyone have the same problem?
    Can anyone help me?

  • FaceTime App Not Showing In Settings & Home Screen

i have iphone 5S, Model No ME434AE/A,i bought from qatar, now iam using in sri lanka, i cannot find the facetime app & settings,if i use in qatar its showing and working properly, in sri lanka i cannot find the app & settings, how can i solve this issue? which model supporting for all countries ?

The ME434AE/A phone while you may have bought it in Qatar where FaceTime is no longer banned, is a phone that came originally from the UAE  or KSA where FaceTime is not allowed.  Taking the phone to another country does not change things.  There is no way to get FaceTime on iphones that originate from the UAE?KSA  Read for face time in ME434AE/A

  • Aperture not showing camera settings applied on RAW images

I have the Canon EOS 1D Mark II N. When in-camera settings like contrast, sharpening, etc are applied in camera, then those images are loaded directly from card reader into Aperture the in-camera changes are not applied to the Raw images. The Jpeg images DO show the in-camera settings contrast/sharpening etc being applied. I can take the memory card and load those same images into DPP Digital Photo Professional and the settings applied in camera do show on the BOTH Raw and Jpeg files.
In Aperture when I look at the thumbnails of the RAWs and JPEGs side by side. It is obvious which ones are the jpegs just by the contrast added in camera.
I can Also take the images within Aperture-export masters to desktop, then open them in DPP and the contrast/sharpening shows on the raws and jpegs the same in DPP.. It seems to be just Aperture..
Is this Normal? That Aperture does not read the in-camera changes on the Raw files? On the Metadata EXIF Expanded, It does read the exposure Bias, shutter speed etc correctly on the Raws, just not the Contrast or sharpening changes.

    Hi Kathy,
This is expected. Settings you make in the camera, for things like color space, sharpening, white balance, etc. don't really apply to RAW images. This is the way the camera and RAW software are designed -- the RAW is really untouched, and this information is tagged along as "meta information." No actual transformation on the image is performed.
You take the RAW image into a RAW converter (Aperture's a good one and make the changes you want. In some cases (White Balance) the tagged info is used, but in others (sharpening, color space) it's not. Aperture uses the widest possible color space (it's wider than ProPhoto RGB from what I've been told, though I haven't used my handy gamut checker to verify
So this contrasts with JPEGs. JPEG is a "final" format -- so the settings you have configured in your camera are actually used in the creation of the JPEG. It is sharpened, color balanced based on your settings, fit into a color space (sRGB, Adobe RGB, etc.) compressed, and written as a JPEG. You can't take these things "back" once that has been done.
Aperture actually makes working with both types of images so similar that it's difficult to really notice the differences. If you work with a more labor-intensive workflow like Adobe Camera RAW, you'll notice all the extra steps you must employ to get from RAW to JPEG.

  • Is Handoff and not available for iPad.  feature is NOT showing in settings

Downloaded iOS 8 on my iPad 3 and iPhone 5s. The Handoff feature is present (under Settings=General) on the 5s and enabled.  The iPad doesn't even display the feature, as if it's not there or even available at all.  Anyone else having this issue?  I've restored once and re-downloaded iOS 8 with the update, yet still no Handoff!

Continuity features are available on iPhone 5 or later, iPad (4th generation), iPad Air, iPad mini, iPad mini with Retina display, and iPod touch (5th generation).

  • FaceTime not showing other person on ipad

Hi. I am using FaceTime on the iPad2 3G/wifi version, 64GB. I  used it tonight to communicate with someone using the same iPad, but the 32GB. Both of us we connected to wifi, however, when I left FaceTime running, and clicked on the home key to check on an app, upon clicking the green bar at the top to 'return to facetime', I could no longer see the person I was talking to. Only myself. I could hear him, and he could hear and see me, but I could not get the camera to switch back to the original format. He tried the same thing to test it on his iPad,, and was able to return to the standard FaceTime screen. any thoughts?

Ok I guess I posted prematurely. I did a reset and FaceTime now seems to be working properly even if I leave the application to check on something else and return.
