Facetime not verifying email on mac

I can't get facetime to work on my computer no matter what I do. It allows me to log in but absolutely will not verify my email. It then tells me an email has been sent to verify, but that email never comes. Sometimes it says verified and just freezes. Any solutions?

Hello amritkaur,
The article linked below provides some useful troubleshooting steps that can help get FaceTime working.

    Started about a 3 weeks ago. (3) macs (2) iphones.
    Gmail and Hotmail still work fine.
    None of the Apple products receive .mac mail but they can all send mail.

  • FaceTime will not verify email on iPad

    I am trying to setup factetime for a family member. I get to the verify window it goes throughou the verify but shoots back to the sign in page. How can I fix this problem so I can finish setting up facer time on the iPad.

    What do you mean the sign in page? When the Email address is verified, you have to go to the inbox of that email account and follow the instructions in the email that you get from Apple in order to complete the verification process.
    If you see a message that stays something to the effect of "Resend verifying email" - go to that email account inbox. Check the spam folder was well. The verification email from Apple could end up in there.

  • Why will FaceTime not verify my email

    I can not get the email , Id to verify to FaceTime

    I think we have a solution if you are not able to get an email address to verify correctly in FaceTime on your iPad.  If you go to Settings>General and then scroll to the bottom of the page...you'll see Reset Settings.  Select that and then select Reset All Settings.  Once you have done this you should be able to set up FaceTime normally again.
    This worked for us after hours of frustration!
    Hope this helps someone....

  • Can not send email from Mac, iPhone, or iPad using mail using iCloud.

    I can send email from the icloud web page but I get error messages that the icloud outgoing server is not recongized when I send email from my iphone, ipad and Mac mail.  I can receive icloud email okay on all devices.  I have manully setup a icloud server per instructions on icloud support page for mail's outgoing server name.  It still is not recongized.

    I found a work around that works.   Got to Settings...Icloud....account......advanced....outgoing mail server.....
    Add an "other" server.
    Host Name p01-smtp.mail.me.com
    Put in your me.com email address as username and your Apple ID password
    SSL is on
    Authentication is password
    Server port 587
    This worked for me.....I will use this until the bug is fixed.     Don't make this server your primary.   Leave it in "on" status in the other category.
    Good luck

  • Can not send email from .mac account from the iPhone

    I'm having problems sending email from my iPhone from my .Mac Account and says the outgoing server timed out. Any Suggestions?

    This error message indicates you are not using the correct server port for .Mac's SMTP server.
    Did you transfer the account settings from your Mac to the iPhone automatically via the iTunes sync process or did you manually create your .Mac account on the iPhone?
    If the former, go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts and under the Account Information tab for your .Mac account preferences at the SMTP Server selection, select the Server Settings button below for .Mac's SMTP server.
    If 25 is available in the Server Port field, enter 587 in place of 25 and when finished, select OK to save the changed setting and then re-sync your iPhone making sure your .Mac account is selected for account settings to be transferred to the iPhone.

  • Inbox not receiving email on mac mail

    Hello,
    I have a problem with my Mail app on my mac (MBA 2013 running 10.9.1) with one of my two iCloud account, where by one of them  inbox is no longer receving any messages and only old messages were showing in the inbox. Account 'A' for is fine syncing mail correctly inbox/sent/junk and all but account 'B' for some reason was not syncing inbox or anyother folder. What I have done is remove the mail account 'B' only through System Preference>iCloud restarted my computer then restarted the computer and checked the mail.
    Now all old messages are no longer showing in account 'B' but 'A' is working perfectly fine. On the troubled account junk and send mail are syncing but inbox is not. I have done a repair permission and recevied the following message: "Warning: SUID file “System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent” has been modified and will not be repaired." Although when searching it seems that I can safely ignor this message according to apple but I only bring it up in case there is a connection.
    One thing to note I am receiving email on my iPhone with the troubled account it's just that I am not receving any emails on my mac mail.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you!

    Well after a few hours it started working again ... I have no explanation for this I just kept my inbox highligted.
    At least this maybe a reference or people that go through the same problem to just give it time

  • Trouble Reveiving (but not sending) email with Mac Mail

    I only intermittently can recieve yahoo emails on my new Air. Sending is no problem. Also recieve most, but not all, messages on my iPad. Sending also ok. But my iPhone sends and receives perfectly. Cants get help from apple, yahoo or time-Werner cable. ALL suggestions greatly appreciated. Very frustrated with my new Apple gear.

    Well, since your iPhone receives perfectly, use it as the model to set up your iPad and MacBook Air.
    On your iPhone, check Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > (your Yahoo account).  Check the Incoming Mail Server settings, particularly the host name and server port (if you have that, it may be under "Advanced").
    Make sure they're set the same on your iPad.  On your Mac, in Mail, go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts and look under your Yahoo account.

  • OWA not verifying emails signed by OpenSSL

    I am trying to create an android app which can send sign and encrypted mails using OpenSSL.
    So far I am able to send Signed Emails and verify them using both web browsers and my android apps.
    Same is the case with Encryption and Decryption.
    But now when I am trying to send signed+encrypted mails from my android app. The Exchange server is unable to verify/decrypt the mails sent from my android app.
    When I am trying to open these mails using OWA I get this error:
    One or more errors occurred while the message was being loaded. Error: (0x800ccef6)
    The digital signature of this message couldn't be validated because an error occurred while the message was being loaded.
    Any pointers about what this error code means?
    Sign Code:
    public static boolean Java_PKCS7Sign(File inputFile, File outputFile, PrivateKey privateKey, X509Certificate certificate, String signingAlgorithm) {
    try {
    String inputFilePath = inputFile.getAbsolutePath();
    String outputFilePath = outputFile.getAbsolutePath();
    byte arr[] = android.security.Credentials.convertToPem(certificate);
    InputStream certIs = new ByteArrayInputStream(arr);
    OpenSSLX509Certificate openSSLcert = OpenSSLX509Certificate.fromX509PemInputStream(certIs);
    byte openSSLcertEncoded[] = openSSLcert.getEncoded();
    long signCertRef = NativeCrypto.d2i_X509(openSSLcertEncoded);
    OpenSSLKey oKey = OpenSSLKey.fromPrivateKey(privateKey);
    long evpKeyRef = oKey.getPkeyContext();
    //boolean res = PKCS7Sign(signCertRef, pkeyRef, certs, bioRef, flags, a, b)
    long arr1[] = new long[0];
    return PKCS7Sign(inputFilePath, signCertRef, evpKeyRef, arr1, outputFilePath);
    } catch (Exception e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    return false;
    In the above code PKCS7Sign is
    a JNI call to OpenSSL. And the flags used are for signing are: int
    flgs = PKCS7_STREAM | PKCS7_DETACHED | PKCS7_BINARY ;
    Encrypt Code:
    public static boolean Java_PKCS7encrypt(File inputData, File output, X509Certificate[] recipientCertificates, String encryptionAlgorithm) {
    if(!inputData.exists() || !output.exists())
    return false;
    try {
    fis = new FileInputStream(inputData);
    OpenSSLBIOInputStream bis = new OpenSSLBIOInputStream(fis);
    long bioRef = NativeCrypto.create_BIO_InputStream(bis);
    int certsRefArrLength = recipientCertificates.length;
    long certsRefArr[] = new long[certsRefArrLength];
    for (int i = 0; i < certsRefArrLength; i++) {
    byte arr[] = android.security.Credentials.convertToPem(recipientCertificates[i]);
    InputStream certIs = new ByteArrayInputStream(arr);
    OpenSSLX509Certificate openSSLcert = OpenSSLX509Certificate.fromX509PemInputStream(certIs);
    byte openSSLcertEncoded[] = openSSLcert.getEncoded();
    certsRefArr[i] = NativeCrypto.d2i_X509(openSSLcertEncoded);
    String outputFilePath = output.getAbsolutePath();
    return PKCS7encrypt(bioRef, certsRefArr, outputFilePath, encryptionAlgorithm);
    } catch (FileNotFoundException e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    } catch (CertificateEncodingException e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    } catch (IOException e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    } catch (Exception e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    return false;
    Same as in case of sign PKCS7encrypt is
    a JNI call to OpenSSL. And flags used are:
    int flags = PKCS7_STREAM | PKCS7_BINARY;
    And cipher used for encryption is cipher
    = EVP_rc2_40_cbc();

    Hi Sohan,
    Agree with Ed.
    This error seems caused by the App that created by yourself. It is very hard to say whether the code is correct, since I am not good at coding. It is out of our support boundary.
    Thanks

Can you still go online wired and wirelessly connected to your router even if you experienced this problem? It would be best to install the latest firmware on your router.

  • Account Not Verified - email never sends

    I am trying to verify my account.  I check my email and it never arrives.  How do I get out of this endless cycle?

    Just bought an iPad in the uk today and got the same problem!!!

  • MacBook FT email address not verified

    On new MacBook, FT says "could not verify email address...check network connection again."  Please help me.  I'm so frustrated with the things that aren't working on this expensive piece of equipment.

    i googled this problem and it seems a lot of people are having this problem and there many apple discussions on the subject which helped me fix it. I think it has to do with different login/id's for different apple applications (i am not a computer person so sorry if wrong lingo) Anyway someone talked about their itunes id not matching their other id's. They key is to get them all matching. I went into my itunes and it was a ....mac.com id so i changed it to my ...hotmail.com id and but another problem was the ...mac.com id was still out there in apple computer space saying my primary email address was ...hotmail.com so i changed my primary email on that ....mac.com id to a mac.com email address that doesn't exist. The address you are using should only be associated with one id. It only took my like 12 hours including calling apple support which didn't help even after 2hrs on the phone with the and reloading the operating disc or whatever it's called....again that did not work. Hope my rambling helped someone.
