Facetime not working for IOS6 on Ipad 2 16Gb Wifi

Hi there,
I have a Ipad 2 16Gb Wifi. I had IOS 5.1 installed and was using facetime on a regular basis.
I updated to IOS6.
Since then Facetime does not work.
Tried to change date from Automatic to manual and back to automatic.
Change DNS settings to to auto. Reset Network Settings.
Still was not able to go past Verifying your account on Facetime.
Then Suddenly i stopped my house WIFI and made a new WIFI HotSpot from my Cell phone ..and Connected the WIFI on IPAD.
Now I was able to verify the account and make a Video Call via Facetime. STRANGE....
So i felt its solved...
I moved back to my house WIFI Connection and now while makeing a call it says Call Lost ... Try Again. Never Connects...
Repeated the process and used Cell Phone WIFI HotSpot and Can make a call via Facetime again.
How can  i use my House WIFI connection to connect to Facetime ?

    After updating to iOS 8.3 iMessage and Facetime is no longer working. iMessage receives messages now and then but is extremely unresponsive, often crashes, and usually only the last message shows. Some of the older ones show at times, but most seems gone. The Messages and Facetime tab in Settings also are extremely unresponsive..takes about half a minute to open. Usually, but not always, I'm told to log on with my Apple ID, which it won't do.
    I tried calling my iPad with Facetime. Nothing. Half an hour later it suddenly rang once...
    Apps closed, iPad restarted several times to no avail.

    What I would suggest doing is signing out of both services and then rebooting your iPad.
    iMessage
    Settings --> Messages --> Sign Out
    FaceTime
    Settings --> FaceTime --> Sign Out
    Once your iPad has finished rebooting than sign back into iMessage and FaceTime.
    As a side question, are you using Apple's 2 Step Verification for your Apple ID? This is a setting you manually have to turn on so chances are, if you didn't turn it on than you don't have 2 Step Verification.

    Ever since the middle of April my facetime stoped working for some apparent reason. When i try to make a call it say connecting then connection failed, and when someone calls me , it'll say connecting and then connection failed . Ive tried rebooting the computer and everything. I have Mac OS X 10.7.5 and my facetime is the 1.1.1 version . can someone pease help me. thank you

  • Is FaceTime not working for everyone else or is it just me?

    My facetime is being very weird, for the past three days it has gone between working and not working, at first it wouldnt allow me to connect to a call, it would just say "call failed" and other days it did allow me. I spent TWO hours on the phone with apple support and NO ONE could help!

    Download  iOS 7 on to your iPhone.  You should then be able to Facetime.  However, I have the same problem with my iMac.  It was okay on the 16th April but when I tried to  Facetime on the 18th it wouldn't connect  when I contact someone or someone tries to contact me. Still won't work. Must be a problem caused by Apple, but I just wish they would tell us how to solve it!!
    Also update your iPad to iOS 7.  No idea for iMac, wish I had!

    hey kasey, i dont know why you have to do that or why does it not work even with all the right settings but what i know is after that process that i just explained above your problem will be gone and iphone will wifi sync as soon as you enter the wifi zone 
    the cause of the problem might be ( what i think is ) when you update you iphone software directly from iphone instead through your computer you get this problem because for me also it was working finely until i updated to 5.1.1 from iphone itself and wich caused me so much trouble, well now i have installed IOS6 and working great .evean if you did not update your iphone and still got this problem can be due to the reason that sometimes your iphone or computer cahnges some internet settings on theri on for their best connection which might cause confusion between 2 gadgets .

  • ICloud sync does not work for Numbers on iPad

    I am growing tired of trying to get iCloud sync to turn on for one app on my iPad - Numbers.  After turning off and back on the Documents & Data sync feature within iCloud, I finally got the other iWork apps on my iPad to ask if I wanted to use iCloud, and all iWork apps to ask from my iPhone, but my iPad Numbers app has not 'made the leap' yet and continues to stay in non-iCloud land.
    It is ironic, because this is the only device where I use Numbers.  It's as if Apple is trying to tease and punish me for something.  I do not want to restore my iPad - how can I get Numbers to wake up and ask me to sync my docs in iCloud???
    Frustrating...

    I have a similar problem except mine involves my iPad (third gen) and iPhone 4.  Storing a couple spreadsheets on iCloud worked great between the two devices and the iCloud site but about two weeks ago my iPhone stopped syncing with iCloud without warning and hasn't resumed since.  I've tried all of the suggestions as far as turning Docs on/off, removing Numbers, reinstalling, etc. to no avail.  The iPad and iCloud site work great still but for whatever reason the iPhone won't pick up the current versions of the spreadsheets.

  • WiFi is not working after iOS6 update. iPad and iPhone will not connect to WiFi.

    After updating ios6. My iPad (new iPad) and iPhone 4 both stopped connecting to my wifi. I have never has connection troubles with wifi.

    I had the same issue before. But not any more....
    Step1: Turn off your phone.
    Step2: Unplug the router from supply.and turning off is different. So unplug it.
    Step3: turn on router and phone back.
    Try connecting now; which should work ....
    This fixed my phone

  • Why maps are not working for India on iPad 3?

    I live in india and when my operating system was ios 5.1.1. I can search places in iPad and get direction from any place any where but after downloading ios 6 my maps are good but they are not searching place if I ask directions for any place it says that directions are not available.

    To make it even more confusing, i have since reconnected the iPad to my PC and done the following:
    1) Added the missing songs (iTunes was recognising that the iPad did in fact have those songs despite not being visible on the library)
    STILL A PROBLEM - logged back on to iPad, not available on the music library
    2) Did a search on iPad for the band, list of songs found, but when selected to play in Music library, nothing happens, just displays list of artists without the one i want
    3) Reconnected to PC, deleted the music, and then manually added to iPad
    STILL A PROBLEM - logged back on to iPad, not available on the music library
    Seems like i am forever doomed not to have this band on my iPad

    Facetime is not working from between my iphone 5 (ios7) and an ipad running ios 7 for last 4-5 days 
    It keeps saying "Connecting" for a few seconds and the call fails right after that.  What is the reason for this?

    Judging by all the posts on the forum, there seems to be an issue at Apple's end, although they have made no announcement on their status page. Unfortunately, we may have to wait until Apple is more forthcoming with information.

    From what I read, this issue is affecting mostly users with iOS 6 installed on their devices.  If you are able, upgrade to iOS 7.  My mom called me yesterday with the same issue, upgraded, then it worked fine for her.
    If you are not able to upgrade, you'll probably have to wait for Apple to fix whatever is affecting iOS 6.
