FaceTime not working in my new Macbook Air

Hi! I just bought a macbookair and i understand that facetime is part of the bundled apps already.
I am just wondering how come it is not working.
I tried registering and got a reply that my user id has been verified BUT it's up to there only.
When you click next I get a message "The server encountered an error processinf registration. Please try again later."
It"s a month already and it is still the same.
I tried creating a new account (new name, new user id and password) because I assumed that maybe since am using already an account in my iphone and I can no longer use it to another machine.... but I again I get the same message.

My Enyo 64GB SSD 3.0 work work on my new Macbook Air

I've jsut brought a new Macbook Air to replace my old Black Macbook, but when I plug my Enyo USB 3.0 SSD it doesn't intizilaize, the light comes on the SSD but nothing on the desktop or Device list in the finder, I know its not the USB's on the Air as I can use my other USB sticks fine, and I know the SSD is working as it still works on my Macbook and Mini (All Lion 10.7) , I've also tried reformatting it in the Disk Utiliy on my Mini to all the different formats (mac Journaled, Fat32 etc) but still no luck

How can I transfer my songs from my Samsung Note 2 to the New MacBook Air?

I just got the new 2013 macbook air, but it doesn't recognize my Samsung Note 2. How can I transfer all my Songs from my Note 2 to the iTunes library in my new macbook air???

How are the song files stored on the GN2? Are they just MP3 files copied to the internal or Micro SD card storage of the GN2?

I cant not get my USB ethernet adapter to work with my new Macbook Air.

So this is the second adapter I have bought and it seems to not work still. I didnt check System info on the first adapter but on the second one i noticed this. The current required mA is unknown. Is there a fix for this or should I try and get another adapter. I have the 2011 MacBook Air running lion.

Font will not work on my new MacBook Pro

I recently upgraded from an older macbook pro to a newer one. I had a font on the old computer (avenir) and cannot get it to work on my new computer. specifically the problem is with adobe photoshop cs5. i used to use the font with adobe photoshop cs3, which i also have on the new computer and also does not work.
when i try to add the font to fontbook, that does not work either. it searches for a moment then nothing happens. any suggestions?

Why are none of my midi controllers not working with my new MacBook Pro?

I am running OS X 10.7.3
None of my M-Audio midi controllers are syncing with my new MacBook Pro.
They are all class-compliant and willl work on Mac OS X without the need of a driver is what M--Audio has posted on there website for all of my controllers.
I am using the following midi controllers:
Keystation 49e
Axiom 25
Trigger Finger
I purchased my new laptop all most 2 months ago and have not been able to start making music on it since. Lots of issues transitioning to Lion. I am still using my old macbook to make music. Any suggestions?

Usb 3.0 not working on Windows 7 (MacBook Air late 2011)

Hello everybody.
I've been running Windows 7 perfectly on my late 2011 11-inch mackbook air (runs even smoother than Mavericks, seems that Apple forgot about macbook air users when releasing that update, and doesn't even let me downgrade without buying the previous OS X ¬¬)
Ranting apart I've been having the following problem: my Toshiba external 3.0 usb HD drive works perfectly on OS X (always did and still does) but i can't make it work on Win 7. When I plug the usb connector, it appears as it recognized an external hdd, but it isn't able to get the drivers or recognize the drive properly. So it just doesn't work, I can't access it. I've been searching for usb 3.0 drivers for boot camp or win 7 and haven't been successful with what i've found.
Anybody had this problem?
Anybody got to fix it?
I'm really annoyed that i can't use my external hdd.

maybe it's because your ext hd is in mac os filesystem which windows cant read?

Trackpad not working on brand new Macbook Pro 15" not retina,

I've just got from UPS my new Macbook Pro 15" not retina. It's the basic model, without upgrades.
I've plugged it in and turned it on to go through the setup assistant, but I had to do it with the keyboard and an external USB mouse, because the internal trackpad is not responding at all. Is it normal?

That was the first thing I did. They told me that it was normal, but I don't believe them. They told me to wait until installation was complete and perform updates, and try after that. That's what I'll do, but I suspect I'll have to have it replaced.
Right now I'm migrating my old mac to this one. I'll update as soon as migration is complete.

Brother Printer HL-5250DN not working with my new MacBook Pro - HELP

Hello there, I just purchased a new MacBook Pro - I've had to use PC (yuck) for work and had an IBook which was great until the dog knocked it off the dresser ...... Anyway, so I've replaced it with the Pro and love it - of course. Except......
My problem is this Brother printer (HL 5250DN) which has been an absolute workhorse, but try as I might I can't get this Pro to print - unless I physically hook it to a USB port and print, which defeats the purpose of having a wireless network allowing me to print from anywhere.....
I have tried suggestions from previous posts (unzipping the gz files - resetting the printer) but still nothing works... Any other suggestions - I'm going nuts here and Brother help line can't seem to give me a solution that works... HELP..... I really want to get going (New Years Resolutions and such) on my new projects and am absolutely grounded with this thing....

Check the Dell website for compatible printer drivers you can download and install.
Once the drivers are installed, open System Preferences > Print & Scan > Print
Then click + to add the printer.

Will Boot Camp work with the new Macbook Airs?

I want an 11.6" MBA now, but I want to be sure I can put Windows 7 on it if I need to. Will this just work like the other MacBooks? Does the new MBA software USB key come with the Boot Camp setup files? Thanks!

I have installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64 on my MBA 11" using a USB flash drive and a program called rEFIt, http://refit.sourceforge.net. it's a free program that also lets you install Linux too. you can even triple boot.
i have had no problems with my MBA and i've had it for a few weeks now. it's awesome.

I have both a PC (work) and my new Macbook Air. I am having issues with opening files that I have saved on my USB Flash Drive. The files are not corrupted because it works on my PC perfectly. Could someone advise how to fix the issue?

Yes, I have the MS Office software for MAC that I bought from the Apple Store.
This is the Error.

The file format or file extension is not valid. Verify that the file has not been corrupted and that the file extension matches the format of the file.
- I created these files on my MAC, but I have worked on it on my PC. But I can't reopen it on my MAC anymore.

Siri is not working on my new iPad Air

Siri isn't working on my week old iPad Air. I've turned it off and on and sync'd it several times but no joy. Any help will be appreciated.

In SE OK and connected to wi-fi. Siri working on my iphone and old iPad so it has to b the new Air. It says it can't answer questions "at this time" and does not do dictation in messages. I've turned Siri off n on and rebooted the iPad as well as using sinc. Seems I read something about this issue when the Air first came out but I can't remember if there was a fix or not.

Is there a way to predict which video projectors will not work with the 2012 MacBook Air using the Mini-display to VGA adapter?

I recently upgraded from a 2011 MBA to a 2012 MBA due to the larger capacity SSD. The 2011 MBA running Lion and Mountain Lion worked with every video projector for lectures. The new 2012 MBA is hit or miss with video projectors. It is not an adapter problem. I have multiple Apple mini-display to VGA adapters with the latest firmware. They all work just fine with the 2011 MBA. Re-starting the 2012 MBA with the adapter and projector connected has not helped.
It it not acceptable to have a laptop that works with projectors some of the time. Apple is aware of the problem. Is the only choice to go back to the 2011 MBA?

I installed 10.8.2 update today with my 2012 MBA. The details of the update include: Resolves a video issue with some VGA projectors when connected to certain Mac notebooks.
I tried using the MBA with a video projector and it found the correct resolution and connected with the projector automatically. Using detect displays in the disoplay preference pane wasn't even necessary.
I hope this is the fix I have been waiting for with the 2012 MBA.
