Facetime on Macbook - Latest revision, cant authorize check connection..? Help?

Just figured it out!  Here it goes:
Click on where you find the little AirPort sign (on iMac it is on top right hand side next to the date and time).
Go down to: Open Network Preferences
Click on: Advanced
Then on DNS
Then click on the + sign and put the following numbers: 8.8.8.8
click again on the + sign and put: 8.8.4.4
Worked for me!  Hope it helps :-)

  • Re: Setting Authorization Check in Report Writer

    Hi,
In ABAP Query or ABAP customized program, it is possible to set authorization object checking.
In Report Writer, how can I do it?

    Thanks

    Hi Colin,
    I would like to suggest,
Creating an Authorization object & then using it in the report program is the preffered way.
I would like to suggest a couple of references, quite similar to your issue,
    [SDN - Reference for using authorization checks at the report level|User authorisation check in ABAP-HR program;
[SAP HELP - Standard Reference for Programming Autorization checks|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/52/6712ac439b11d1896f0000e8322d00/frameset.htm]

    Hope that's usefull.
    Good Luck & Regards.

  • Check for latest revision when form is opened

I'm developing a form for work that will be distributed to many people and I won't always know who has the form.  My plan is to post the form to a website for users to download.  Is there any way to check the website for for the latest revision when the form is open??  In this case I'm thinking when a user opens the form it will check the website, and if a newer version is available I will have a message box stating a new form is available and give a URL.  How would I script something like this?

    Hi shippy84,
Sounds like you will need a webservice.  Maybe this link will help http://blogs.adobe.com/formfeed/2009/08/version_control_for_forms_and.html
    Good luck

  • Can you tell if your MacBook Pro has latest revision logic board??

is there any way to tell if your MacBook Pro has latest revision logic board??

I'm awaiting the same thing, also in the U.K. The service center told me that they've had many of these repairs, and that there is a substantial backorder for logic boards in the U.K. I was told that it could be 6-8 weeks, which is absolutely appalling. I think that's an intolerable amount of time to repair a brand new, quite expensive computer.

  • ICloud Drive Not Finding Latest Revision

Is anyone else having issues with iCloud Drive not pulling updated versions of Numbers files?
It's getting to the point where the service is so friggin' unreliable that I have to check every single file on my iPhone prior to using it on my Macbook because iCloud Drive just seems to refuse to pull the latest revision of a file in Yosemite. I'm fine as long as the last time I updated the file was on the Macbook, but if I update it on my desktop, on iCloud.com, or on any of my iOS devices, the Macbook won't ever find the newer versions of the file.
The only success I have is turning iCloud Drive off (allowing the files to be deleted from my system) then turning iCloud Drive back on. This will pull the latest versions only there's no way to prioritize the order of the files or which files to sync so it can take an hour or more to get everything back onto my system so that I can open it.
Any ideas short of dumping iCloud Drive and using a reliable service like Dropbox?
    Tim

    Hey Tim Klein,
Thanks for the question. I too would be just as frustrated if my documents were not staying up-to-date when using iCloud drive. It sounds like you have found an applicable work around, but let’s see if we can actually resolve this issue.
The following resource outlines some great steps in the section titled “What if my files aren’t updating to iCloud?”:
Get help using iCloud Drive - Apple Support
    http://support.apple.com/HT203052
If your issue persists after attempting these steps, please contact us:
If you tried these steps and your files still don’t upload to iCloud:
    Stay signed in to iCloud.
Save your updated files to a different folder on your Mac or PC.
    Contact Apple Support.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • Latest revision of the FAQ in progress - help needed!

Thought I would start a new thread...
I need some help, guys I am looking for some helpers on the following topics, so feel free to chime in:
    -Text/PNG issues
-Viewing iWeb sites on a PC
-A generic list of "fixes" when iWeb is acting buggy - i.e. deleting plists, reinstalling the direct download etc
    I am working on adding:
    -.Mac vs Publish to folder
-Whatever else comes to my mind...
Here's the latest revision, let me know your thoughts. My hope is to slim it down to 10 questions/categories. I don't know if the Hosts will keep it as one post or possible separate, but I figure it is best to be broad rather than narrow...

Still no luck? Post your question in the forum! We are all happy to help!
Here are (or will be eventually) our Top 10 FAQs:
    1. My hard drive crashed, how do I restore a site from my iDisk/published folder? How do I backup my iWeb site(s)? How do I transfer my iWeb work to another computer? How do I transfer my old website made in Homepage/another html editor to iWeb?
Your iWeb data is stored, not in your actual html files, but in a file called Domain.sites, which is stored in your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder. You should backup this file whenever you make big changes to your site, because if it gets lost or damaged, you will have to start all over. For more info, try these links:
    http://homepage.mac.com/thgewecke/iwebdata.html
    http://web.mac.com/will.englefield/iWeb/WillG4PB/Where.html
    http://web.mac.com/will.englefield/iWeb/WillG4PB/Backup.html
Important: You CANNOT restore an iWeb site from the published html pages in your iDisk or a published folder. Publishing to a folder is NOT a backup. You CANNOT use iWeb to edit existing web sites/pages created in other applications.
If you want to move your Domain.sites file to another computer, try putting it on a flash drive. Be sure to keep a current copy on the flash drive if you plan to move it back and forth between two or more computers. For more info, try these links:

    2. I am having trouble publishing to .Mac. What’s wrong?
Keep trying! Publishing errors come and go over time. Don’t give up, and don’t do anything drastic! For more info, look here:
    http://web.mac.com/mark8heaton/iWeb/PublishErrorsHelp/Publish%20Errors%20Help.ht ml

    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303353
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303927
    3. How do I find my iWeb site on .Mac?
Your site is published to the “Web” folder on your iDisk. The address for this site is
    http://web.mac.com/yourusername
If you have more than one site, they will be located at
    http://web.mac.com/yourusername/iWeb/nameofsite1
    http://web.mac.com/yourusername/iWeb/nameofsite2
    etc etc etc…
The index.html file for your “short URL” (http://web.mac.com/yourusername) will always forward to site1, which will be the top site in your site organizer (column on the left hand side in iWeb).

    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=iWeb/1.1/en/bld1082.html
    4. How can I keep more than one site but only work on/publish one at a time?
Yes, but this requires some “domain splitting” – duplicating the Domain.sites file and slimming down each copy to contain only one site. More info and some instructions are available here:
    http://web.mac.com/mark8heaton/iWeb/DomainSeparation
Also, here is a free application called iWebSites that will help automate switching from one domain to another:
    http://mistergregg.com/cocoadrillosoftware/iWebSites/iWebSites%20Home.html
    5. How do I add _ to my iWeb page? Where can I find additional help?
You can add just about anything you could add to a regular website to an iWeb site, if you don’t mind doing some post-publish editing of your html files.
You can open the html files generated by iWeb in any text or html editor. In TextEdit, to view the code in an HTML file, choose File > Open and select "Ignore rich text commands." Then locate the .html file and click Open.
Here’s how to find your html files:
If you publish to dot mac, mount your idisk using the "go" menu in Finder. This will place your idisk on the desktop.
    Then go to iDisk/Web/Sites/iWeb/Sitename/Pagename.html
If you publish to a folder, try looking in your Sites folder of your home folder.
If you don’t want to look at the html code yourself, try MassReplaceIt (http://www.hexmonkeysoftware.com), a free find/replace utility.

  • Cannot connect to Facetime on Macbook Pro

Ever since I upgraded my OS to OSx Mavericks, my Facetime and iMessage is not working. Basically when i start up the Facetime app, it will show the sign in screen prompting you to key in your apple id and pw, which i did. After signing in, it will go to the page saying 'A phone number is associated with the Apple ID "-". People will call using your email address and phone number. Which one would you like to use?' and shown is a list of email address and phone number linked to my apple ID. I tried selected only my email address or both my email address and phone number and clicked next, and Facetime would show that it is verifying. However, after a while, it will return back to the first sign in page, without signing me in at all. May I know what is the problem? Sorry the console log might be a little long but it's all Facetime. I tried updating to the latest version and even reinstalled my mac to no avail. Anyone here encounters the same issue or knows how to solve this?
Thanks a lot in advance for all your help! I really appreciate it!

  • Server encounters and error when using FaceTime on MacBook Pro but not while using on iPad

Whenever I try to use FaceTime on MacBook Pro, it tells me "the server is encountering an error processing registration, please try again later".   It also says that I have the option to create a new Apple ID account in order to use FaceTime.
I don't want to create a new account, because I currently use the same account on my iPad.  Is there something that I'm doing wrong, since I use FaceTime on my iPad mini now?

    Hey there career change,
It sounds like you are unable to sign into FaceTime on your Mac, but on your iPad it works fine. I would use the troubleshooting steps in the following article about FaceTime for Mac:
    FaceTime for Mac: Troubleshooting FaceTime
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4185
Ensure that you have an active Internet connection.
Verify that you are using a valid Apple ID at appleid.apple.com. You can also create an Apple ID or reset your password from this website.
Check that your email address is verified in FaceTime > Preferences. If FaceTime > Preferences shows your email status as "verifying," follow the instructions in the verification email that was sent to complete the process.
Toggle FaceTime off and on in FaceTime > Preferences.
If still unable to Sign In follow the instructions in FaceTime, Game Center, Messages on OS X: Troubleshooting Sign in
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Take care,
    Sterling

i cant authorize my computer to itunes help?

Check in your Store menu at the top of your iTunes:

  • Access error: Authorization check??

    Dear all;
I have just implemented the portal, and currenty Im checking it; I wen to "System Administration" -> "Support" -> "SAP application" -> "Transaction" and then enter SE16 and test it, but it sends an exception. When seeing the monitor, the exception looks like this:
"ACCESS.ERROR: Authorization check for caller assignment to J2EE security role sap.com/com.sap.lcr*sld : LcrInstanceWriterLD referencing J2EE security role SAP-J2EE-Engine : administrators ."
I cant figure out why this is happening, because I have the administration role along with SAP_SLD_ADMINISTRATOR group??
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
    Fede

    Hi Siva,
What permissions should have the role 'Everyone'? In the Portal useradmin --> Identity Management, the role 'Everyone' doesn't have any 'Assigned Actions'.
Also, I should mention that I have used 'Support Desk Tool' to check the system and the status is green, so I think the configuration is ok. However, with 'DiagTool' I received this messages:
    - Warning J2EE_GUEST SAPEngine_Application_Thread[impl:3]_31 ~urity.authentication.loginmodule.ticket no authscheme found that has auth template evaluate_assertion_ticket
    - Error J2EE_GUEST SAPEngine_Application_Thread[impl:3]_4 ~engine.services.security.resource.audit ACCESS.ERROR: Authorization check for caller assignment to J2EE resource [keystore-view.TicketKeystore : view-actions : GET_VIEW : ALL ].

I don't know what more I can do...

  • FaceTime says "Could not sign in. Check your network connection and try again."

I can't sign in to FaceTime using a macbook air. I can sign in to iTunes, iCloud (so I know my sign in is correct and works) and others can use facetime on my network.  FaceTime says "Could not sign in. Check your network connection and try again."  using Time Capsule router with no problems ever. What can I do to sign in?

    Try This...
Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of your Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
    If no joy...
    Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings.

  • Fetch latest revision level

    Hello Experts,
I am writing a select statement to fetch REVLV field from AEOI table by passing AEOI-OBJKT = MATNR from selection screen.
multiple records are coming into internal table.now i need to take latest record for each material.there is a chance of having multiple records on same date.but they are not maintaining Time field.so how can i capture latest revision level.

    Howdy,
As the table has a sequential ID number (AEOI-AENNR is the Change Number), you can grab the highest Change Number to be the most recent entry.
One note with this though is it won't work if you have multiple application servers and your system uses Parallel Buffering as per OSS note 599157 - so you might want to check with your basis consultant on that.
The only other alternative is to enhance AEOI using include structure CI_AEOI and then find and exit to populate the system time when the record is created.
    Cheers
    Alex
