Facetime privacy issue...

Ok, I fess up - I did something truly stupid. I was in a local staples, and playing around with an ipad2, I entered my apple ID in facetime to video chat with someone, figuring I could log out, and it would all be good. I could log out allright, but the machine retains (and displays) my appleid email address. I went into the settings>facetime, and you have to log in to turn facetime off! Ok, did that, then when I quit back to the app - my data still shows.
There seems to be no way to erase my digital footprint from this public device, other than creating a new, throw-away appleID, then logging into facetime on it that way.
Am I missing something??

I hope you figured this out because I did the same thing. I was at an AT&T store and long story short I used my apple ID on an ipad to try and FaceTime my parents.
I did log out. But I noticed my ID was still there. Since its a retail dummy model it didn't have an option to factory reset it. I did go in iTunes when I got home to see if it showed up in my list of devices but I didn't have a manage devices option.
Anyone have any ideas? Am I fine?
And yes, I've learned my lesson. No more logging in to public devices.

How do I transfer files between Adobe Photoshop touch and my adobe creative suite applications on my mackintosh computer? I do not want to pay for additional adobe cloud services. I do understand that I can transfer a single layer from Photoshop touch back to the computer by mail or camera roll. procreate has a Photoshop export tool.
Where is Photoshop touches export tool? if the only tool is through the additional monthly charges of the cloud, you are alienating loyal Adobe customers.

Thank you for your help. I have finally figured out and shared my first image. The fear was that I was going to be charged a monthy fee just by using the service. It would be nice if there was a footnote with something to that effect. All I was seeing was the monthy and yearly fees.

When I run Advanced System Care by IoBit I always get many privacy issues that need to be removed from my computer and I would like to have Firefox stop this.

I run Advanced System Care 7 by IoBit on my computer daily. It always finds dozens if not hundreds of privacy issues caused by FireFox that need to be removed. I would like to continue using Firefox but will uninstall it if the program keeps causing so much clutter on my machine. I have a Compaq Presario F730US running Vista Home Premium. I do not want FireFox to place ANY cookies or other items on my computer.

So first off, Advanced system care is a piece of junk. It does nothing to improve computer security or performance, and can actually harm your computer. I strongly suggest you remove any iobit products immediately and find a real anti-virus.
Second, cookies can be controlled. They aren't placed on your computer by Firefox, but by websites. You would find that no matter what browser you use you will have cookies from websites you visit.

Privacy issues with Reader

I work in a library. I cannot get Adobe Reader to show 0 file names. It retains 1 file name -a privacy issue for library patrons. Does anyone know how to change or edit this? Thanks.

We are continually working to improve our iOS Reader, and we should address several of your requests over the coming year, as well as bringing many other things out. I can't reveal a lot right now, but stay tuned!
Regarding item 6, you are correct. Due to the way that iOS works, there is no way for the Adobe Reader to read or write directly from another app's location, or to remove files from that other app's folder once they have been sent to the Adobe Reader.

Variable Privacy Issue

This is my first post so hi to everyone.
In my program I need to keep the value in some variables when it leaves that class. For example I am running a menu class which gives options. When an option is selected I go to that class and run it. However the values put in the variable need to be stored and kept so that they can be added to in other classes from the menu.
To do this I have done:
private static String wordArray[];
private static int arrayLength;
which allows me to keep the values and add to them.
My question is will this be a privacy issue? Or are they any other issues that will make my program a security risk from doing this?
If so does anyone have any suggestions about others ways to do this? Thanks alot.
P.S: The values only need to be kept for that run of the program. Not stored after the program is quit.

For offsets instead of creating 12 different selection you should give range.
e.g. variable-12 to variable
Restrict -> value ranges -> between
Then select same variable in both from and to input boxes.
Once you transfer it to right and select the offset, it will ask offset two times.
One for - from variable
next for - to variable
Select -12 and 0 respectively.
It should give you prior 12 period offset.
It will increment/decrement according to values of master data. So if you have master data fro 13/2008 then only it will go to that period, otherwise 01/2009 will be selected.

My laptop becomes slow after incurring privacy issues (118000 in one day) that are noted as being mozilla profiles

I clear my laptop with A S C programme but latest review identified 118000 privacy issues in less than one day. This is a regular problem. Needless to say this overall issue slows my computer down until I clean it up again. The programme I use identifies the privacy issues are down to Mozilla profiles.

Hey Siri privacy issue

When you ask "Hey Siri, what is my phone number" when the phone is locked, Siri will pull up all your phone information. This is a privacy issue.

Based on the quality of his post, I think he could have figured that out.
Considering how easily one can reset passwords with SMS codes, which would appear as notifications, it certainly is a privacy issue.
Notjarj1 is clearly making his contribution to the improvement of iOS. I don't know what you're trying to do.

Privacy issues for end user

The interactive form I have designed will be completed by people who are very conscious of their privacy. I imagine that most of them will not be happy to email their data, as this leaves easily found "breadcrumbs" on their computer.
Is there any way this data can be sent without going through the email process? Would submitting to a URL overcome this problem, or are there other "privacy issues" for the end user which may come into play?

Thanks Danmaster - after investigation I find I have been using SOAP for some time now. I've just never been conscious of its acronym. So if I have been communicating between applications using a communication protocol I have been using SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol).
I am starting to think I'm really clever now.
Just because I have been submitting forms through http and then using CGI scripting on the server to convert and email me the results, I never thought that SOAP was such a vital component.
So perhaps the LiveCycle Designer will just allow me to create automatically what I have been hard-coding for years.
I really should have asked that "if the client submits via http through the LiveCycle form, will they be shown any hints that the data has been submitted".

Yosemite Messages App - Privacy Issue?

I searched for this problem and have not found it posted before. Sorry if its a duplicate.
I have noticed a potential privacy issue with the way the Yosemite Messages app manages group SMS messages. I received an SMS on my iPhone from a non Apple user and on my phone it appears as normal sms in this contacts historical message listing. Ok nothing special.
However on the Messages app on Yosemite this message appeared in a separate thread as a group conversation with Messages exposing all the recipients phone numbers that also received the SMS from the original sender. These recipients are not in my Address book or contacts list? This is not normal behaviour on the iPhone as you don't see who else received the SMS?
Another issue is that replying to message in this group message actually SMS messages ALL recipients and not just the original sender. The original sender certainly had not intended to share their entire recipient list with me.

I'm having FaceTime connectivity issues

I'm having FaceTime connectivity issues. Every time I FaceTime other apple user the connections drops right away.

Well I'm here to own up. My dad was over today and he has an iPad 2 with iOS 7.1.1 and mine ran 6.1.2. Over the table both on my wifi I tried to call him on facetime and he tried to call me, in both cases it failed due to lost connection as previously discussed. He said they had used it to call my brother in england yesterday with no issue.
I bit the bullet and decided with extreme reluctance to do the upgrade. I did a full backup whilst downloading the update on my windows pc and after the sync I applied the update. Luckily for apple's sake the facetime connection now works both ways but I'm still left with this hideously atrocious UI color scheme. I can however report that i can see no noticable reduction in performance so far. As per suggested on some sites I disabled automatic downloads & updates and tweaked the accessibility settings to "reduce motion" and "increase contrast" including enabling button shapes and reducing white point. Everything seems to work fine and Thankfully I don'rt feel like I have a hobbled device. Clearly something between 7.0 and 7.1.1 has brought iPad 2 back up to speed so to speak.
Oh and I still hate you Apple, cheers.

IPad2 Safari or iCloud Privacy Issue, unknown user's history appears

After turning the new iCloud on, my iPad2's Safari shows browsing "history" of unknown user. Just today, in the morning I cleared my history and cache before I left home. When I returned home this evening and opened Safari, it started with google image page showing offensive images. I checked history and it showed dozen google images search links. The content include baby poops, touching elephants, and injured nipples and so forth that are very obscene.
I am suspecting this to be iCloud bug. APPLE! Please look into this as I do not want my little child to accidentally hit Safari and see these unacceptable photographs!!!! This is very serious privacy violation matter!

We were all out all day today, and this is what happened first thing after we came home. I am aware that Apple is not going to necessarily see this, and the point is everyone should know this potential issue. Besides, there are other better ways to spread the words like Twitter, FB, etc. The fact that someone already saw the posting within a few minutes is amazing.

My privacy level is set to "allow anyone", however I get a privacy issue when trying to chat.

I have iChat 4.0.9 and have used it many times to chat with a certain individual for work. Recently, after a general software update, I get a message saying "Your privacy preferences are set so they prevent you from communicating with this person." When I go to preferances > account > Security, my privacy level is "allow anyone". What could be causing the error? Why does chat think that this person is blocked when they are not?

If the other person is Invisible or they have Blocked you (Or Not Allowed you) then you may also get this message.
From the sounds of your "Fix" it was about how your Buddy was "Flagged" at the AIM Servers.
If you enabled Parental Controls on the Mac User Account you are using (Or tested another Mac User Account using the same iChat info you can create this "Flagging" issue.
It would be interesting to know if setting it back to Allow All also works.

Facetime Beta issues

I'm playing with FaceTime beta on my MacBook Pro and my iPhone 4. I've managed to get logged in but can't get a call to actually connect. That may be an issue with the Corporate LAN I'm on right now. My real question is this....
How do I add contacts to my list in FaceTime beta? All I can see is Apple Canada and my own information. I don't use the native email client on the Mac as I'm a Gmail guy. Does FaceTime just add contact info as you receive incoming calls?
Any thoughts on the matter would be appreciated. Also, I hope this is the right forum for this issue. There doesn't seem to be a dedicated FaceTime section yet.
