FaceTime sideways with one user

Having a problem with Facetime that only seems to be affecting my calls with one specific user. Problem exists across devices (iPhone, iPad, OSX) on both sides. We are appearing sideways to each other, when either of us rotates the device, the picture adjusts and remains sideways. The only way we can have the screen right-way-up is to both have our devices in the vertical position, but we prefer to have the devices horizontal. The problem is not a funciton of the "orientation-lock" because when we rotate the device, the picture rotates but rotates back to the "wrong" orientation. Have tried restarting devices, etc.

Please run the following command and then check if you can get ActiveSync mailbox log.
Set-CASMailbox -identity username -ActiveSyncDebugLogging:$true
To repair your mailbox, you can use the New-MailboxRepairRequest cmdlet. You can look at the article below for more details about this command.

You can set up your iCloud account on your iOS device under: "Settings > iCloud" and a other account for store purchases under "Settings > iTunes & App Stores". Unfortunately merging accounts is not possible but you could transfer all of your music manually via iTunes from your Mac or PC.

Problem opening pdf's with one user

Hello,
We deployed adobe reader X on a terminal server 2008 with about 10 users, which login directly via an rdp session (no broker).
With one user, we have the problem that when she tries to open a pdf (either directly, in a browser, from outlook, whichever),
then the adobe reader program appears in the taskbar and then the program is gone. We tried the following things
- Kill the adobe reader process
- Repair adobe reader using the software install tool
- Downgrade to adobe reader 9.4.1 by uninstalling X and installing 9.4.1 (a version which is used extensively without problems at another customer)
- Delete the terminal server roaming profile and create a new one in active directory on the domain controller.
Other users have no problem with this and a testuser with the same rights (copy function in AD) does not have this issue.
Every time we apply one of the above solutions, it works for 15 minutes and then we are back to the original symptoms.
The adobe reader process seems to be still active after you close a document and after it stops working.
Does anyone have a clue on how to fix this permanently?

This is a problem (bug) with the built-in PDF Viewer (pdfjs) that currently doesn't handle this link properly.

Data Uploads done with one User Id not visible to other users in SPM

Hi,
Data uploads were successfully carried out by one of the SPM users. However, other users (with different user id) are not able to see anything in the Data Upload Summary screen.
Is there a restriction on the visibility of Data Upload Summary for data uploads carried out with one User id to other users in SPM? A similar behaviour is observed for other screens within the Data upload workbench.
Incase this is not the expected behaviour, it would be great if you could please provide pointers to possible reasons for this.
Just for your information, all users have been granted same privileges in the SPM application.

No this is not the expected behavior. We have seen this issue for other customers in the past but the reason has always turned out to be role related.
Can you ensure that the required SPM roles are assigned to the user who do not see the DM data both in ABAP as well as portal.

Error accessing the UWL only with one user

Hi,
We have a problem only with one user, when the user access the UWL get the following error:
Runtime error in the portal
Exception in processing request, send the ID of exception to your portal ADMINISTRATION
ID exception 10:54_21/10/11_0037_8766350
The other user does not have problems accessing the mailbox.
The user is assigned the role of the mailbox correctly.
Any idea what may be the problem?

The best way to see what these issues are is to check the trace for when the run time error has occured:
Log on to the portal, recreate the runtime error. Then follow:
1596214 How to find the latest default trace from right after
reproducing an issue. Please ensure that you have reproduced the
issue with a user that is experiencing the issue that you have reported. When you find the most recent default trace file, copy and paste the numbers from the portal screen and do a ctrl + F with the trace file opened and paste in the runtime error. Now you should be able to see what is causing this issue.
Then when you get this information, please paste or attach the file here that contains the runtime error for the user. From this we should be able to figure out why the user is getting this.
Also as an admin user, try clearing this users personalizations on the Universal Worklist first.
Please clear all personalizations with the affected user and retest.

Garageband unexpectedly quits on launch with one user

Strange happenings with Garageband since upgrading to Lion (Lion upgrade might be a co-incidence). Garageband works fine with one user but doesn't launch with another user - it unexpectedly quits every time on launch. Have tried repairing permissions and re-installing Garageband. Not sure what else to do. I can't find any Garageband prefs to dump. I guess something in this user's setup is conflicting, But what? Any ideas?

I think you need to reinstall the OS to fix that one.

I wish more people would use quota instead of the resource role and unlimited tablespace.UNLIMITED TABLESPACE is a particularly noisome privilege, because it grants quota on all tablespaces, including SYSTEM. The fact that RESOURCE used to include this privilege in its portfolio was the main reason not to grant it willynilly.

Use the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.
This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps.

Provision a RO several times with one user using Access Policies

Hello,
we need to provision several Unix machines and for this purpose, we use one only resource object (SSH User). Additionallyl, we created an access policy for every machine:
- Access Policy Unix Server 1
- Access Policy Unix Server 2
- Access Policy Unix Server N
We created the following group in OIM: SSH Group.
We set the policies in such a way that whenever a user is added to the SSH Group, the SSH User RO is provisioned with the user for every machine. We created several access policies, because the parameters of the form are different for every machine.
The problem is that when a user is added to the SSH Group, the SSH User resource object is provisioned only once. It is provisioned by the access policy with the highest priority. We would like that the SSH User RO was provisioned by every access policy. That is, the user should have the SSH User RO provisioned N times, after adding it to the SSH Group.
Is there any way to achieve this without creating a resource object for every Unix Machine? We need to provision more than 300 Unix machines and this would require a lot of time...

There are other options. You could create a child table to hold the IT Resource information, assuming all parent data is the same for every system. Then on the insert/delete to child table entries, you can provision and de-provision from that target. On disable/enable you would need to search through the child table and perform the action against all instances. The same for the other update tasks.
This is the limitation of access policies. They manage a single resource object target instance. You could also code a generic resource that has child table entries. When an insert happens, you can use the APIs to provision and instance of the specific target with the provided details. Then you could create access policies to add entries to the child table, and each would provision the appropriate object, and deprovision too.
Takes some custom code, but it's doable. Just remember though that they are all still the same resource object, so reporting would show them all, as well as attestation, as a single instance, with multiple provisioned to each user.
Another option is to duplicate the work flow using find and replace in the XML and generate a unique workflow for each instance.

CR Server Administrating: Single login with one user.

Good day.
We have CR XI server with 15 licenses (parallel users).
Now we need to assign each license to specific user.
The problem is that one user can login from his workstation 15 times and exceeds connections limit (take all licences himself), so other users cannot login in that way.
How can we set that if user is logged in, nobody won't be able to log in with same login/password.

Please re-post if this is still an issue to the Business Objects Forum or if you have a valid support contract create a case on line.

Cannot log onto internet with one user, fine with admin

Over the past few days, my daughter can no longer access the internet with her userid by cable or wirelessly. The userid connects to the network and can print wirelessly or by cable without difficulty.
The userid can, however, connect to skype without issue so some internet access via some port is still possible.
I use SafeEyes for content control. I uninstalled it to see if this was causing the problem (using the correct procedure to uninstall). There was no change. I have in the meantime reinstalled it.
I am not using any form firewall or anti-virus with the mac.
I have checked the IP address and it is 10.0.X.X with a different IP address than other units connected to my airport extreme.
There are no issues connecting to the internet with under the administrator account wirelessly or via cable so the problem seems to be localized to my daughters userid.
Her macbook is on Mac OSX 10.5.8
Would appreciate any suggestions on how to solve this?

She was connected to my network.
I just found part of the problem.
Turning off parental controls gives her access to the net again. It was working fine until now and still works on my other daughters machine, together with safe eyes, perfectly.
This is a problem since Safe Eyes does not have sufficient time limit control over the mac itself.
At a minimum, however, I still have control over internet access and usage until I find a solution to why parental controls no longer allow internet access for the one user (with or without safe eyes).
Any ideas on how to get parental controls to work properly again. The only settings in place were the time limits.

OptimisticConcurrencyException with one user, one table

hi,
I found this topic http://forums.bea.com/bea/message.jspa?messageID=202428380&tstart=90 where optimistic concurrancy is causing trouble on WLS 7.0. We're currently having sporadic OptimisticConcurrencyExceptions where only one user is working on a set of data, updating number of tables but in a manner where OptimisticConcurrencyException should not happen. And what's even worse is that we a number of server environments running in clusters where in one environment we get a lot of these and in another we don't get any. The code is the very same in both.
From the previous topic I read that one should not mess with timestamp since container does this. Unfortunately we do that all over the place, so my question is that is this the wrong way to do it still on WLS 8.1.5? Any help is appriciated!

Mail not responding under one user. Need to Force Quit to get out of it. My mail works when I log on as a user. Downloaded the latest Mountain Lion updates and reinstalled Mountain Lion as per Apple Phone Support instructions

Sync with one user

We have just bought an iMac and when we put the iPhone in the doc, it syncs with me and not my husband and it is his phone. When I switch over to his account to sync, it tells me that his phone is set up with another user. How do I change it to his account?

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
