Facetime tells me it's connecting but it doesn't.

Both phones are connected to wifi yet when I call someone on facetime both phones say connecting but they never do. All the settings are correct yet they still don't work. Any answers?

To be specific. I have the imac late 2013 model, and i just bought the trackpad this October 2014. I have been using magic mouse without any problem. I just want to have a new experience with the trackpad. Any time i on my imac, i will have a normal screen with my picture and a guest column at the center. I need to click either my picture or the guest in order to have the space where i can key in my password with the keyboard. But unfortunately, my trackpad will show that it is connected and the cursor will be moving in front of the screen if i touch the trackpad, but if i try to click, i will get no response. I have to put back batteries inside my magic mouse and then click on my picture if i want to log in with my id or i click on the guest image if i want to log in as a guest. it is only after this that my trackpad will start responding.
i want to use only trackpad for now so as to be more efficient with it. I don't want to be putting back batteries inside the magic mouse only to on my imac. I need a solution please.

It sounds like you have assigned the primary click on the trackpad to something else, perhaps a gesture.
Use your mouse, login and then open the Trackpad preference pane and see how you have the interface configured.
Oh and you can have both the Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad powered up and working at the same time. No need to keep moving batteries around.

Use the Settings app to select your Wi-Fi network.
Settings > Wi-Fi > Select the Wi-Fi Network that will not work > then select Forget this Network
After to accept this choice your iPad should see your network again and allow you to enter the new password.

It sounds like you are trying to make a call with FaceTime, it never finishes connecting to the person you are trying to reach. I want to recommend the troubleshooting steps from this article named:

If you encounter issues making or receiving FaceTime calls, try the following:
Verify that FaceTime is enabled in FaceTime > Preferences.If the issue persists, or if you see the message "Waiting for Activation", try toggling FaceTime off and then on.

Judging by all the posts on the forum, there seems to be an issue at Apple's end, although they have made no announcement on their status page. Unfortunately, we may have to wait until Apple is more forthcoming with information.

Sync them from your iTunes library:

Note that you can only sync apps from the one syncing computer/library that yo can have. If the iPod was synced to another computer/iTunes libary or set up via wifi then to make this computer/itunes library your syncing computer/library:

Here is how the Help tell me of Moving Photos (BUT IT DOESN"T DO THAT!!)

I do exactly what it says but it doesn't copy the file to another event. I can however copy them anywhere else. It is **** of a work to copy them to the desctop and back to the event I want to have them be in...Do any1 have any Idea why it doesnt copy??
Select Events in the Source list.
Command-click to select two or more Events.
Double-click one of the chosen Events to open them.
If you have set your preferences to use the Event double-click to magnify photos, move your mouse to the bottom of the Event’s key photo and click the “Show photos” button when it appears.
Drag the photos you want to move into the Event you want to add them to.
To select multiple photos that are not next to one another, hold the Command key down as you click.
The moved photos will appear at the end of the Event.
You can also use cut and paste to move one or more photos from one Event to another.
To do so, select one or more photos you want to move and then choose Edit > Cut (or press Command X). Then select the Event you want to move the photos to, and choose Edit > Paste (or press Command V). The photos are removed from one Event and appear in the other.

It works for me. When you double click on one of the two selected Events (in the Events mode) do you get a window with the two events displayed like rolls were in iPhoto 6? I selected a photo from one of those events and dragged it (a green circle with the number of photos being dragged was created next to the cursor) into the other event. Worked as advertised like this.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. FaceTime is installed on my computer but it doesn't connect

I keep getting an error on Facetime everytime I try to log in. I was using wi-fi then hardwired my internet into the computer. This is a brand new Mac. I just dont understand why it isnt working. (oh and I have to mention I just switched to Mac from PC (new mac user)).
The message that I get is: Could not connect. Please check network connection and try again.
Any information would be appreciated. And if you tell me to change settings, know that I am still working around this interface so some extra help and detail would be nice.

HT1766 I have an IPAD 2 and when I awoke it I received an error message; "This IPad hasn't been backed up for 3 weeks." It goes on to tell me when backups occur but it doesn't back up automatically. How can I get rid of this message and use my IPad?

Backups happen when this IPad is plugged in, locked, and connected to Wi-Fi." I have done all of these and it still doesn't allow me to get rid of the error message. Reset your iPad to clear that condition:
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).

Video connects but sound doesn't always connect to apple tv

Since getting the Apple TV2 1080P HD about 6months ago, I have had connectivity issues with the audio.
I have the apple tv connected to the tv via HDMI and Optical Audio
When I connect to the apple tv from my macbook the video always streams but sometimes (every 4-5) the audio stays on 'internal speakers'
When I hold 'option' and click on the sound control it shows Apple TV but when I click on it, it doesn't select it.
I then have to restart the computer or do a series of disconnecting and reconnecting until it works properly.
I couldn't find anyone else with this problem so I'm wondering if it my unit is isolated with this.
Any help greatly appreciated

For videos I've been using Beamer, I've been extremely happy and haven't had any audio/playback issues using this with the AppleTV. Video quality is top notch and you can use your computer while a video streams.

IMac says it has full connection but it doesn't.

I have recently moved my iMac from my loft to my bedroom one floor below. Whilst using my mac in the loft my internet connection was flawless and had little to no problems. But after moving it into my bedroom my internet connection has become slow and basically unusable although airport is showing full signal. I have tried moving the mac around my room but it did not help at all. I thought it might have been the router not having a strong enough signal to get to my room but i have used my sisters laptop in my room and it works perfectly fine. I'm unsure what the problem may be and was just wondering if anyone else has had similar problems and if anyone knows how i could resolve this issue.

First thing I would suggest is to check to be sure whether this really is a location issue. Take your iMac back up to the loft and test it there. If the issue is still present it has nothing to do with where you moved it.

Macbook connects, but iMac doesn't

My AX is plugged directly into the cable modem. My MacBook connects fine when I have my AX set to Bridge Mode in the Airport Utility. But my iMac doesn't connect. Instead, the status in the iMac's Network Prefs just says "Airport has a self-assigned IP address and may no be able to connect to the Internet."
If I change the Airport Utility setting to "Share a public IP address" it shows that two clients are connected, and both the iMac and MacBook network prefs show "AirPort is connected to CowPie and has the IP address 10.0.1.x" But neither computer connects to the internet.
I've reset the modem and the AirPort Express multiple times, as well as reset the AX to factory mode and recreated the network in AirPort Utility; no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also, even when I get the MacBook to connect, the AX still flashes amber.

Some cable modems have a small internal battery which must be removed to completely reset the cable modem.
Sometimes cable modems must be left for hours or even overnight to reset the equipment back at the ISP.
Sometimes ISPs record the MAC address of your computer and will only allow that device to connect. If that is the case you would need to give them the Ethernet MAC address of the AirPort Express (AX).

New computer, connected but router doesn't install

I bought a new computer last week, Win7 w/Norton. It connected to the internet without installing the router. But there are times when we have no internet.
It looks like the router is not installed on the computer. I tried to do that but it says Cannot find router.
So what can I do now? I would imagine I need to have the router w/Cisco Connect on my computer?

It is a E3000. I didn't want to mess with anything over the weekend for fear of not having internet connection at all.
I will look at it again tonight.
One thing I didn't do, is shut the router down and start fresh. Maybe that was part of the problem. But since I could connect to the internet, I didn't think I had to do that.

Facetime tells me it's connecting but it doesn't.
