Facetime verification email error

Hi, first of all I'd like to say sorry if this is in the wrong section of the forums, just couldnt find a suitable section for my problem.
Basically I installed facetime, apple sends me the verification email which reads as below...
To complete the process, we just need to verify that this email address belongs to you. Simply click the link below and sign in using your Apple ID and password.
Verify Now >
Now, when I click "verify now" the link says "about:blank" in the address bar while apparently loading, after a minute the site says
"THIS WEBPAGE IS NOT AVAILABLE"
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this web page later.
Error 7 (net::ERR_TIMED_OUT): The operation timed out.
If anyone could help I'd appreciate it! I've used chrome, safari and firefox just to make sure it's nothing to do with my browser but still no luck.
Thanks alot!

  • Facetime verification email

I am trying to add another email address to Facetime on my iPad 2. However, I am not receiving the verificatin email. I've checked all folders, including spam. I've had it resent several times. I've waited over an hour on them to arrive. I've turned Facetime off and back on again. I've gone into settings and reset all settings.

  • Facetime verification email not arrivinh

I am sitting here trying to get Facetime going for my Mother so she can video chat with her grandchildren.  Thusfar all has gone well enough - installed Facetime, got her Apple ID setup, and entered in to Facetime.  However, we appear to be stuck at the point where the verification link email is sent - it is not arriving at her email account.  I have verified that her email (non-Apple) is functiononing by sending her one myself, and the emails around resetting her Apple ID password arrived, so I am at something of a loss to explain why the facetime verification link isn't arriving.

FWIW, I'm posting with my ID, not her's so it is my mac info being displayed, not her's (a 10.6 system)

  • Facetime verification email not being sent.

    Hey,
I got a new Ipod touch 5g for last Christmas and Facetime worked fine, Then I updated to iOS 5.1. Later I tried to login so, I tapped Sign In. It took me to the screen where you click next and then it says verifying... After that it doesn't tell me anything, and it just takes me back to the sign In screen.

the people on youtube probably dont know the next iPod Touch could be called iPod Touch 4S. and i feel sorry for the people that watch there videos saying the iPod Touch 5G and believe it when they see it, u probably wont even tell a different just showing the front could mean its the iPod Touch 1G, 2G, 3G
Anyhow, it should look like this
If you dont see this on your iPod Touch 4, then u need to sign into your account.
and what Apple did, all they did was made the iPod Touch 4 beable to be white, thats all what had change, just the color from black to white.

  • I had to restore my iPad to factory settings and now I can't reconnect my icloud email to FaceTime or iMessages as the verification email never comes through what should I do

Yesterday I had to make a trip to the local Apple store as my iPad needed to be restored to factory settings. I came home trying to set up my iMessages and FaceTime but I can't reconnect it with my icloud email as I send a verification email each time and it never arrives. What should I do?

Yes, I am using the same ID on both devices.  I also logged out of the iTunes application and back in but still get this same message.  "The Apple ID you entered couldn't be found or your password was incorrect.  Plese try again."
I have another subscription with Admin Magazine that appears to use the same interface and it was able to restore my purchases.

  • The verification email was inisially "outdated" and now when I try to connect/activate/reset-password, I get "unexpected errors" and "invalid tokens".

I tried to set up Sync on my smartphone. I had an "old format" account and started setting up a new one.
The verification email was immediately "outdated".
    Since :
-When I request a new email (on mobile) it says it could not be sent.
-When I try and validate my email (on desktop) nothing happens.
-When I try and connect, I get an "Invalid Token" error.
-When I tried to "reset my password", the link "encountered an error".
-I can no longer sync my devices with the "old" method.
EDIT : I tried creating an account with another email... same problem.

Seems to have resolved itself... Anyone can confirm ?

  • TS4268 Verification email not received to activate FaceTime from additional gmail accounts on ipad. I have checked the spam folders and tried sending the activation email from my Mac as well but I'm still not getting them.

I'm not receiving the verification email to activate two additional gmail addresses for Facetime on my ipad air. I have been trying for over a week and the emails are not in my spam or junk folders. I have also logged into my Apple id from my Mac and tried to verify from there but I'm still not receiving the verification emails. Anyone know how to resolve this please?

In Mail Preferences/Accounts/each GMail account, set up the SMTP Outgoing Server for each account separately, going into SMTP name/edit/Advanced and specify the Username of each account.  The Outgoing servers must be two different servers, authenticated by the Username and Password of each.
Otherwise, the GMail SMTP server will change the from address to that of the account where the SMTP server was setup.

  • I updated to iOS 8 on iPhone 5s and now iMessage will not verify my email. It has said "Verifyng" since yesterday, but has not sent a verification email. I checked my iCloud settings for that email address and it shows "pending".

I updated to iOS 8 on iPhone 5s and now iMessage will not verify my email address to use to send/ receive messages. It has said "Verifyng" beside it in settings since yesterday, but has not sent a verification email. I have also tried Adding it as a new email address several times, but get the same outcome.  I can still send/ receive texts from my phone number, just not from the email address.
In my iCloud settings under Contact Information for that email address and it shows "pending".  When I select "Resend Verification Email" I get "Cannot Connect to iCloud".

  • I cant receive my verification email for apple ID

Help plz!!!!! i cant receive my verification email for apple ID..

My Apple ID is set up with my gmail account, and I am not getting ANY verification emails (neither iCloud, nor Apple ID -I tried resetting-). I don't know what this mess is about, but that verification email is the same reason I can't set up FaceTime on my iPad 2... All other forms of Apple ID work just fine -I buy apps all the time from the store and everything runs smoothly-
If anyone ever finds out a way of fixing this... PLEASE HELP!

  • IMessage verification email not being delivered.

I am trying to add another email address to my list of receiving iMessage email addresses and I can never receive the verification email Apple is supposed to send me to make that address active. I have tried numerous times and even look in the spam folder every time. I've seen other people post this same problem also. Hard to believe this is still an issue for a company with Apple's resources.

I repeatedly and randomly have the same problem:
    1.   I send mail to another icloud user or to  some other recipient (e.g., yahoo mail).
    2.   The sent message appears in my iCloud.com Sent folder signifying that it was transmitted successfully.
    3.   The message is never delivered.
    4.   It does not appear in the recipient's Spam folder (or any other filter).
    5.   I never receive followup email from any server's postmaster indicating an error in transmission or reception.
    6.   The whole experience is purely silent -- "went to the bit bucket."
There is no rhyme or reason to this.   The phenomenon is random but has repeated over a series of many months.   I could say that I am running 10.8.5, but it is an iCloud server event, not a local OS event.   The recipient might be running OS X, Linux, or Windows (etc).

  • HT201455 Verification email not received

I Was trying to change the alternative in the past few months, but unable to do so.
After adding a new Apple ID, I also add that email address to the original Cloud account for verification, in order to use iMessage and Face Time.
NO verification email was ever received to the new iClould account, except the one for creating the new Apple ID.  The is NO email received to verified the iMessage and Face Time.
The new ID is a yahoo address in the US, and I have checked the spam and trash folders many times for the email.
Please, if anyone know, how to solve the above issue.  Thank you.

    Hi legendary80,
I have a couple of links for you regarding FaceTime and Messages that may help you resolve this issue:
    iOS: Using Messages
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3529
How do I enable iMessage for use with Messages?
You can enable iMessage in multiple ways, depending on your device:
iPhone: Turn Messages on in Settings > Messages. Messages will begin registration with your carrier-assigned cellular telephone number. Sign in with your Apple ID to also use your e-mail with Messages.
iPad and iPod touch: Navigate to Settings > Messages. Sign in with your Apple ID.
Follow these steps if you are experiencing difficulty activating your telephone number or Apple ID with iMessage.
iOS and OS X: Link your phone number and Apple ID for use with FaceTime and iMessage

  • No verification email

    Hi All,
I can't use iCloud because I'm not getting a verification email.  When I go to id.apple.com, I get a message that I need to be verified and apple asks me if I want a verification email sent.  I say yes, but no email comes.  I've tried this about 4-5 times now.  Also, it's not in my spam folder, trash, or anywhere else in my email account.  I do have a very old verification email, but when I try to follow the verify link I get a 404 error "The requested resource () is not available."
So, is there any way to force the system to send me the verification email without changing my user id?
    thanks!
    c

    Hi there (Kazejones)
I don't know if you found a solution. I have a Sony PC and use Windows 7, which doesn't help. Always the same "closed circuit": "email not verified, read the email you received" -which of course I never received.
Frustrating. I have paid subscription to I Watch and to ICloud to no avail.
