Facetime will not connect - Anyone spoke to Apple regarding the facetime issue fix
Day four and still not able to connect with Facetime. Has anyone spoke to Apple regarding the status of the fix?
No...actually I have an iPad Air and my mother has an iPad 2. I cannot connect to her on Facebook. I did not catch what device it was showing when I started the discussion. The problem started on Thursday and when you call her iPad 2, it rings and tries to connect but NO luck. She has iOS 6 on her device. It's as if Apple flipped a switch and stopped allowing some iOS devices to connect via Facetime. I can connect with other iOS devices with my iPad Air.

My Apple TV recognises my wifi network but will not connect to it, when I enter the password
Help please - my Apple TV recognises my wifi network but will not connect to it, when I enter the password - it just says 'there was a problem connecting to the network - check your settings and try again (5).' What should I do next?
people repport that apple products in general I believe have problems with support for the outdated encryption type called wep encryption which is also pretty useless and easy to break
if you use that try disabling it or changing to wpa encryption
if you use MAC address filtering in your router then you need to add the appletv's MAC address to the positive list -

I installed an Extreme in place of an old Express, the various phones and Ipads seem to work on the WiFi but the Mac itself will not connect. It says something about the IP address being used by another device. Second wifi network was also created. The Mac worked for a few minutes and then gaev up citing eth IP problem......any clues people??
If you have not already done so, now would be a good time to perform a complete network power cycle.......to give everything a fresh start.
Power off every device on the network.....computers, printers, hard drives, etc......in any order that you want
Wait a full minute
Start the modem, and let it run by itself for 2-3 minutes
Start the next device connected to the modem and let it run a full minute
Keep starting devices one at a time about a minute apart until the entire network is back up
Check the network -
My iPhone 4s will not connect to my yahoo account following the recent update. It appears with Error 1032. I have tried deleting the account resetting my phone, changing the password - none of this has worked. Could you please provide me with some advice?
I had this same problem with my new MBP 15", but only with the USB port on the left side. The USB port on the right side worked fine. Perhaps the ports on the left don't have enough signal energy for the iPhone.
Anyway, try using a different USB port, and if that doesn't work, perhaps you could try a powered USB hub. -
I am not getting proper guidelines from apple regarding the querry
I am not getting proper guidelines from apple regarding the querry, really iPhone is headache for me as I am unable to use the same from last 10 days
If you would like help from here, you'll have to say what the problem is. "Unable to use" and "not getting proper guidelines... regarding the query" tells nothing about your problem other than your phone isn't working.
Also, judging by your other post where you are looking for an alternative to the iPhone, do you want a non-Apple phone or do you want your problem fixed. No sense having people waste their time helping you fix this one if are going to get another phone. -
My MacBook Pro persistently will not connect to my MiFi Verizon wireless router. The message "connection timeout" appears. What is a connection timeout and how can I fix?
Hi there terri900!
You may want to try configuring your router settings to match the recommended settings for iOS and OS X devices, which can be found here:

Using Windows 7, i-tunes will not connect to i-tunes store. How do I fix this?
Using my desktop with Windows 7, my iTunes will not connect to the iTuens store. All other functions of iTunes works great. I have all other programs that require internet working just fine..ie browsers (IE, FireFox or Chrome, and all email services) and all work normal.
I updated iTunes to current version as of today April 6, 2012 and now it does not work going to the iTunes Store.
I have about 6-8 different Apple devices that use this iTunes, but right now, none of these are connected with my iTunes, as I was just going in to do some music shopping first before connecting any of them to my PC.
How do I fix this?
Thanks in advance for any and all helpful information!
AngieClose your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

Will not connect to google, more than just a safari issue
I am having an issue with one of my macbooks.
It will not connect to only google.com that i have found so far.
I have tried Firefox, and Chrome and the same thing, will not connect.
I have tried ping www.google.com, which errors out but google.net works.
All of the network settings match that of my MBP, which does connect.
I have tried clearing the cache, deleting all .plist, deleting eveything in the cookies folder, checked parental controls, removed keychain to anything google, different browsers, uninstalled all widgets and add-ons, removed all apps i have installed since the issue appeared, I have manually changed the DNS to a couple of solutions i found here, then reset them to default and still will not work. I am simply out of ideas. If anyone is having the same issue and found a solution please let me know.vaughnfromspokane wrote:

You may have been infected by malware that you downloaded and installed. The download was probably called "FlashPlayer.pkg". If you still have it please don't trash it quite yet. For the benefit of others in this community can you please upload it to http://www.virustotal.com. Once you have done that copy the ID and report it back here along with the exact name of the file that you uploaded.
If the results do not show anything in the status column next to ClamAV can you also upload it to http://cgi.clamav.net/sendvirus.cgi and in the description box include the keyword "macos". If you know the name of the site where you downloaded it from, that would also be useful. Then you should Trash it so you won't be tempted to run it again.
A description of this malware along with instructions on fixing it can be found here: http://www.f-secure.com/v-descs/trojan_bash_qhost_wb.shtml
Thanks in advance and let us know how it goes. -
My ipad2 will not connect to wireless. It recognizes our router but when I put in password it just spins.
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at
http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

Despite trying the recommended trouble shooting options, my I pad will not connect to our home Wi-Fi network. The problem only started occurring this morning, and although it will recognise the Wi-Fi network, it will not connect.
Any other options I can try????Try rebooting the router. Just pull the power for a few seconds. No settings are lost.

I have tried all the solutions apple has offered online. I will not reset my phone to factory settings unless it is a last resort. What is Apple doing to fix this? I had my last Iphone last for more than 2 years and I hve had this one less than a year. My Wifi was greyed out and now it's on but won't connect or locate any networks (but if I keep switching it on and off it will freeze on me again). Does Apple have plans to fix this problem because I refuse to purchase a new phone?
Are there any other new solutions to try in fixing the Wifi that doesn't require freezing or heating up the phone or switching to airplane mode and resetting the network settings as well making sure it's up todate or changing the apostrophe in the phone's name? My phone has never been dropped or damaged. Everyone around the world seems to be having this problem and Apple does not seem to be making a move to fix it? I use this phone for everything and 4g will only last so long before I reach my monthly limit. Please help!!!!!!!!!that makes no sense... it was only doing an update... if that's the case it should have promted me to back up first if this is even possible... there is a program that says it can recovery anything that hasn't been written over yet.. so would this not work? http://www.iphone-data-recovery.com/iphone-data-recovery.html or would the apple store be able to recover it??? i've done plenty of data recovery on computers... why wouldn't it be possible on an Iphone... does apple seriously not care about thier customers at all??? how about thier employees that are gonna get more than an earful tomorrow when I walk in there store??? No wonder samsung paid 2 million to apple in pennies when they got sued... (how does it feel to be screwed with apple?!)
