FaceTime won't output audio to TV using AV adapter with iphone 4s

I'm using an iPhone 4S with ios 6-something. When I hook it to my tv with the Apple AV HDMI adapter the video goes but no sound. The phone sends sound from other apps (Music, YouTube), so I'm thinking it's specific to FaceTime. Any suggestions?

Have you checked the setting withing the iPhoto. I believe it has one for mirroring.

not sure if coincidence or the same question, but the same question got asked internally. The seeded option is required to get the OJSP filter installed. Here's the internal response
ADF View integration with MDS not configured
In web.xml, you need to have mds-ojsp intg enabled to load jspx base + customizations from MDS. In your web project in Jdev, go to ADFv project properties and select “Seeded customization” property. It would enable mds-jsp engine configuration in web.xml. If you want to use user personalization feature at runtime, you would need to select “User customization” property as well which would enable ADFv change persistence config in web.xml.
Warning: Some of the metadata under ... is packaged as part of both WAR and MAR. This metadata cannot be accessed from WAR using MDS.
For these two packages, you are including the files in both WAR & MAR. This warning conveys that since these base files are being put in MAR, at runtime they would be read from mds repository & not from WAR.

Problem with Send using JMS Adapter with Websphere MQ

Hi,
We have two scenarios using JMS Adapter with MQ:
1. File->PI->MQ
This works fine and drop the file in MQ correctly.
2. MQ->PI->File
This gives an error reading from the queue: (see highlighted in the log below). It correctly connects to the queue name. But it fails with the message "Could not begin a AF transaction".
Our PI version is 7.0 SP 13
Websphere MQ Version 6.0.
Any idea what could be wrong?

They are available and properly added to aii_af_jmsproviderlib.sda.
The drivers are:

Hey Kishore,
In order to create a structure you need to use the file with convertion mode on the sending communication channel of the file adapter.
check the link for the needed configuration paramters.
If the structure is more complexed you can use the Contetnt master(CM) from itemfield which allows to ceate XML file from complex flat files and more.

However, you don't need the sensor if you use the Nike+ Running app. It uses the phone's built in accelerometer.

TC is not designed for ipad or iphone or any iOS device.
You should use them with cloud if you want remote access to your data do it via cloud.. you cannot easily get remote access to the TC from iOS device.

IPhone 4 Won't Output Audio, No Airplay

My iPhone4 (OS 7.1.2) works fine, but has essentially become a brick to external devices. Music will not play through headphones, the phone no longer outputs audio to my car stereo via USB or Bluetooth, and the AirPlay icon has disappeared from the video player (yes, my Apple TV is on the same wi-fi connection). In my car, the USB screen says "Unreadable" and the Bluetooth screen doesn't even acknowledge my phone (which is discoverable).
All of this started happening under curious circumstances. Up until a few weeks ago, my phone's loudspeaker hadn't been working for a while. The ringtone worked, but no other audio worked. It was like the phone thought I had headphones plugged in. All of a sudden, the loudspeaker started working--I have no idea why--and at that time, I started experiencing the problem I'm describing here.
They sure seem related. Any tips from the community?

Okay - other things I would try is different USB cables and restoring on another computer if possible.
If no joy with either of those, make an appointment at an Apple store near you and bring it in to be evaluated. It may have a hardware problem and will need to be replaced.

Need to use pro mic with iPhone

I'm producing a podcast with reporters throughout US and abroad. The iPhone would make perfect recorders but we need to use mics that are more professional. Is there an interface or device available to allow us to use better mics with the iPhone?

Not really. It is theoretically possible but you would need an adaptor that could convert the standard XLR or TRS output of a higher quality mic to the specific TRRS input that the iPhone uses. From there, you would also need something with a better mic preamp that could go between the mic and this input adaptor.
While I am aware of preamps that would work, I don't know of any adaptor that exists to get the job done. If you are looking for higher quality audio than the iPhone can produce, I would recommend using a stand alone handheld recorder for the mean time. I use and Olympus LS10 and its a great unit.

Audio - recording high quality stereo sound with iPhone 3Gs

There are a number of excellent sound recording apps now available for iPhone - notably RecTools 08 (8 track, PCM) but no way to get stereo sound into the device. To date both Belkin and Griffin state their stereo microphones (designed for iPod) will not work with iPhone because Apple has not enabled audio input via the dock connector.

Apologies if this is a very obvious question. I have one iMac that my husband and I use, he has an iPhone that he syncs with the iMac via iTunes for app such as docs to go. We would like to pick and choose what we sync as we keep separate docs etc on the iMac, can this be done?

Yes. Just set up your own account in System Preferences > Accounts (User &groups in Mountain Lion). You'll have your own seperate everything including mail.

Yes you can just use a plug adapter. It will work fine either way.
