Facial recognition for a new app

I am working on an idea for a new app for the iPhone. I was wondering if Apple or anyone else has used a type of facial recognition within their app. I have this idea about taking a photo of something and having the image try to match a database of other images.

Reditions cannot be implemented on DPS Single Edition Apps. Skype continues to ask for a new app, despite installation !?

Skype blijft vragen om een nieuwe app, ondanks installatie!? Onlangs kreeg ik een aankondiging dat het Skype zou komen met een nieuwe app en dat deze de oude zou moeten vervangen. Inmiddels heb ik deze app geïnstalleerd en gebruikt, maar elke keer wanneer ik Skype de volgende keer weer opstart meldt deze: Tijd voor een nieuwe app. Nu downloaden! Dat doe ik dan en vervolgens werkt Skype gewoon, maar deze melding/procedure blijft zich herhalen. Ik kan Skype dus niet gewoon gebruiken en moet elke keer eerst downloaden en installeren. Ik gebruik Windows 8.1 op mijn laptop en hoop dat iemand weet hoe dat ik dit kan oplossen. NB.: Eerst de oude versie de-installeren heb ik uiteraard al geprobeerd. On-line translator ... Meanwhile I have installed and used this app, but every time I start Skype the next time these reports: Time for a new app. Download Now!
I do than then Skype works simply, but the message / procedure repeats itself. I can not just use Skype and must first download and install any time.
I use Windows 8.1 on my laptop and hope someone knows how i can fix this.
NB .: First uninstall the old version, I naturally tried.

I have now spoken to Apple about my problem and they told me to explain the situation to my Broadband service provider British Telecom (BT).
For reasons not explained, BT suggested the problem lies with the Router hardware they have supplied (BT Business Hub - 2701HGV). Although it is relatively new there is something that prevents it from downloading Mountain Lion???
They are posting me a new one which will not arrive for 2 days. I will let you know if the new router solves this issue.

Try first signing out of the iTunes and App Store in Settings>iTunes and App Stores (tap on your apple ID and choose sign out) then sign back in.
Then do a hard reset, hold down the home button and the sleep/wake button at the same time until you see a white Apple then release.
Then go ahead and try again, should work.

ITunes not loading anything for the new apps?

Is anyone else having this problem? I try to update my iPod with the new apps and it just gives me an error saying to make sure my network connection is active, which it is and I can do anything in the iTunes store except do anything with the new iPod touch apps...

Actually, at the moment I can't access anything remotely related to the new software update for the Touch...I'm thinking that Apples servers simplay are overrun by eager customers that want to get the new software for their Touch. Wait till tomorrow and see.

Screenshots will not upload for my new app

When I try to upload screenshots (before I submit for review) for the newest verrsion of app, the drag and drop and manual file loading does not appear to be working. I've rebooted my computer and it still does not work.
When you use the "drag and drop" method, it shows the files with a "+" sign into the drag and drop area- but then nothing happens.
I've even tried loading Safari on a windows machine and it still does not work. Same error.
Anyone having this problem?

I was able to download to my new computer. How do I load it from here? I double clicked the read box icon and another window opened with folders and another red box icon labeled setup. I double clicked the setup and a window, as shown, opened said it from an unidentified developer. How do I install?

This forum Re: People recognition problem on PSE 12 says to change the breezesession.dat file, but I don't have one. I need advice on how to proceed. I do not want to have to manually tag every photo in my catalog, but cannot scan multiple photos at a time.

Preferences are set: for People recognition to Analyze Photos for People Automatically.
I tried unchecking this and running people analysis manually. Neither works:1(

I downloaded 'Boat Watch Pro' (£2.99) but it won't install correctly or sync onto my 3GS phone. I have the latest OS for this model but think the App is designed for later models. How can I get a quick refund from Apple.?

You can try asking iTunes Customer Support for a refund, but there is no guarantee they will honor the request.

Using Migration Assistant on external drive for moving new apps to Leopard

I'm sorry if this has been covered, but I searched and couldn't find the answer on any previous posts.
I am having the infamous "yellow triangle" problem when trying to install Leopard on my iMac. I created a bootable copy of Tiger and all my apps, etc. on an external drive (including Parallels/Windows) with SuperDuper, and I'm planning on trying an "archive and install", and then hopefully using MA to transfer all of my settings and files from the bootable copy of Tiger on the FireWire drive.
Obviously before I go ahead I want to make sure I can do this. Is this possible, and what would the basic steps be?

I didn't know I needed to disconnect the FW drive in the first place. That may be the root of all my problems.
I have been having nothing but problems with this Leopard install on my iMac (though it seems to be working on my Macbook Pro). Here's what happened:
* The iMac install was going just fine (though I had the external hard drive connected). I selected the internal hard drive (no yellow exclamation or anything like that) and it began to install. After about 2 minutes it kicked me out and said there was an error.
* ok. So I rebooted and tried it again. From this time on, whenever I tried to install Leopard on the hard drive there was a yellow exclamation, and I got the infamous "Can't install OS X on this volume without changing installation settings" (basically erase and install)
* Then I tried Leopard Disk Utility. When I tried to verify the disk, it gave me an error saying the disk has the incorrect number of extended attributes (should be 0 instead of 238) and it needs to be repaired. But it wouldn't let me repair it, even if I rebooted off the DVD.
* Next, I went back to Tiger's Disk Utility and verified the disk and repaired permissions. There seemed to be an error that was corrected, so I thought that would do the trick. Wrong! By the way, I checked the partitions and the disk is formatted with a GUID partition.
* Even after the repair and verification with Tiger, I still get the same problems. When I go to install Leopard, it doesn't work and I get the same errors if I run Leopard Disk Utility.
This is why I was going to do an erase and install, and import via MA. Do you know any way around this?

Facial Recognition-- Best Practice

Question about facial recognition for tagging, Lets say you have a person who has baby pictures, child pictures, teenager, and adult pictures.
should you tell PE that these are different people (john infant, john child, john teenager, john adult) to make the searching more accurate. (then you can combine them manually)
Or, should you tell PE that these are the same people John, and it can figure out the changes without any confusion.

Good questions. Annecdotally, PSE automatically recognized a photo of me when I was 1, after I tagged a number of photos of me as an adult. Don't know how representative that is, but I would bet that it's not going to recognize me as a teenager!

Data source issue in new app creation

Using Hyp. 9.3 I am trying to create a new application. The data source for the new app was created in sql server and it was used to create a new app. The problem is after going throught the create new app wizard, the new app was there but no db. I think I may have refreshed instead of create. Anyway I went ahead and deleted the app and tried to start fresh to create the new app. But when I went to select the data source it is no longer there. I checked the sql server connection and it seems fine. So what could have happened to the data source?

If the essbase database does not exist and you click refresh it will create the database.
Anyway can you not just create a new datasource.
