Facing difficulty calling any Indian numbers (mobi...

I am facing difficulty calling any Indian numbers from UAE. I have recently subscribed to Skype calls to India. Everytime I call to any number, the call gets connected and drop after few seconds. Neither side is able hear anything. There is no ring tone either when the connection is made.
I tried with Skype App for Windows 8 and also Skype for Desktop. Same problem with Connection.
It is depressing that I cannot make calls after I have recently purchased subscription for 12months!
Could someone suggest a wayout?
Thanks

Im from Indian I recently subscribed Skype for month but not able to make call any of Indian number call get disconnect 1 or 2 seconds without giving any msg or errors when I login through safari browser I checked my minutes there was showing 800 minutes but when I login Skype soft from where I can make call there showed me 00.00 minutes I'm **bleep**ed-up don't know what to do you guys do not have customer care number even not chat support Skype was better till the time it's not take over by Microsoft.

  • Are there any apps which will allow local calling using data only that do not require any special numbers called out initially and does not require the receiver to have a similar app or account?

Are there any apps which will allow local calling using data only (not minutes, no extra charge) that do not require any special numbers called out initially and does not require the receiver to have a similar app or account?  Just for random local calling.

    Yup.
Here is a way you could solve this by adding an extra column and a small lookup table:
The lookup table is here for the copying:
    0
    1
    k
    kilo
    2
    M
    mega
    3
    G
    giga
    4
    T
    tera
    5
    P
    peta
    6
    E
    exa
    7
    Z
    zetta
    8
    Y
    yotta
In table 8 (the one on the left in the image) column A is where the values are.
    B1=A1÷(1024^VLOOKUP(INT(LOG(A1, 1024)), Binary Prefixes::A:D, 1))&" "&VLOOKUP(INT(LOG(A1, 1024)), Binary Prefixes::A:D, 2)&"B"
this is shorthand for... select cell B1, then type (or copy and paste from here) the formula:
    =A1÷(1024^VLOOKUP(INT(LOG(A1, 1024)), Binary Prefixes::A:D, 1))&" "&VLOOKUP(INT(LOG(A1, 1024)), Binary Prefixes::A:D, 2)&"B"
    select cell B1, copy,
now select all the cells in column B, paste

  • Cant Call Any Numbers At All? Help?

(My username is [Removed for privacy])
I've got exactly $7.93 which is about to expire in 7 days (I have been informed by e-mail from Skype) and in order to remove the expiry I should call somebody for even one second atleast, which will then extend the expiry date by 180 days.
The problem with my account is that I'm unable to call any number for some unknown reason. I type up the number in the dial pad and keep hearing the calling tone for about 2 minutes and then just ends. I've tried this with several numbers that are active with me but nothing works.
I'm really upset at this issue. Can this be fixed please?

I can select person to be called on calling i get initial call bit  but no follow on ringing tone so unable to call anyone

  • I bought my iPhone 4s in the Uk and then brought to Cyprus where I live. I used Siri to call my husband 2 days ago without problem but now when I try to use Siri it won't call any local Cypriot number but will call my Uk contacts. Help please

I bought my iPhone 4s in the Uk and then brought to Cyprus where I live. I used Siri to call my husband 2 days ago without problem but now when I try to use Siri it won't call any local Cypriot number but will call my Uk contacts. I can call the same numbers manually so it's not my network. Any help would be appreciated.

This sounds like an international issue? Although I can not see why? I brought my phone in Australia and operating it in Indonesia, I have the same issues.... Otherwise Siri works fine, even texting (SMS) to local numbers siri works well, but dialing local number it just wont work...! I will try using my Australian SIM card and see if that is the reason.. I tried changing the number in the contacts and took out the international prefix, I turned the international assist on and off still nothing.. How frustrating. I called apple, the technican had know idea and we to his supervisor, had to wait fro 40 miuntes and then I hung up..
    PLEASE HELP..!

  • Calling Australian mobile numbers

What Skype plans allow me to call australian mobile phones.   I will be calling from both Australia and overseas.  My old pay asyou go plan seemed to allow this.   I recently got a 'premium' plan. It does not appear to allow me to call Australian mobile phones.   Please confirm that pay as you go is the only way to call australian mobile phones.   If that is the case can you have two plans on one skpe name -say a pay as you go and a 'premium' and have it work so that the 'premium' time would be deducted if possible and the pay as you go would only be consumed if the call could not be made under the 'premium' plan.  Otherwise I will just have to have two skype names , one under premium and one under pay as you go.
I must say I find the information on what are the call restrictions on the various plans is not easy to find.

Where does it state it is allowed?
The roaming page says what it cost if you are in Bosnia not if you call a mobile there. On the Calling abroad from the UK page (not roaming page). Scroll down to the "Standard call rates", expand it and see Zone 5.
I've been in similar situation when was unable to place a call to Latvia for a week or so (actually, calls to different numbers in Latvia from different operators). I've been on the phone with EE every day, and noone was able to find out what's wrong (starting from standard "reboot your phone" etc to level 3 tech). Only at the end of the week one of the CSR found out that calls to Latvia were barred acros whole network without any notice/info/reason. Long story short - accepted £61.50 compensation.

  • Blocking calls from Unknown numbers?

    Hello all,
Is there any option/application in iPhone 4S, IOS6.1.3 where I  can block any calls from unknown numbers?
Specifying exactly, I want to receive calls from people only those whose numbers are saved in my phone or say Saved Contacts Only.
Nobody other than that should be able to call me.
That would be of a great help.

  • Unable to call mobile phone numbers - Play mobile network - Poland

Hi, I'm trying to call some mobile phone numbers in Poland and still got answer: "sorry you can not call this number". 2 or 3 months before it wasn't a problem but now seems that it's related only to one mobile network in Poland - Play. Do you have any idea whether they've changed their policy recently? Thank you in advance.

I just contacted Skype support. The issue has been rosolved!!! The CALLER ID must be set up, otherwise PLAY will not accept the calls! I set up my Caller Id and suddenly was able to call all PLAY numbers! Thank you Skype for your efficient technical support!!! SKYPE RULES!!!!!

  • If I'm in Europe, can I use Skype on Droid Charge(via Wi-Fi) to call US phone numbers?

If I'm in Europe, can I use Skype on Droid Charge(via Wi-Fi) to call US phone numbers?
Obviously there's no voice or data roaming for Verizon 3G/4G/CDMA phones in Europe.... (or am I wrong?)
    Thanks in advance!

    Hello WCMack,
That was a great explanation on the situation. Just to confirm, Europe uses GSM for their wireless network. There are third party apps that will allow you to make calls via wi-fi on a wi-fi enabled device. This is largely due if wi-fi is available and if it's free.
From my experience, I was able to make wi-fi calls on my Iphone 4 in Greece without any problems last month. Since we don't own any towers in Europe, the service is hit or miss. Feel free to update us when you get back.
    Enjoy your trip!...

    Hello,
Firstly ALWAYS start your own topic. To add to a 3-month old unrelated thread which has been resolved long ago is not a good idea and can mean that your query is overlooked.
You can call to or within any country using either a valid Subscription  provided that you do so within the Fair Use Policy http://www.skype.com/en/legal/fair-usage/ or with Skype Credit.
Specifically please note the following clause:
"The following is a non-exhaustive list of practices  that would NOT be considered Legitimate Use:
Using subscriptions for telemarketing or call center operations"
TIME ZONE - US EASTERN. LOCATION - PHILADELPHIA, PA, USA.
I recommend that you always run the latest Skype version: Windows & Mac
If my advice helped to fix your issue please mark it as a solution to help others.
Please note that I generally don't respond to unsolicited Private Messages. Thank you.

    Hi,
I have a specific website that keeps blocking me from going to website I want to view.  It is called vnebo.pro or mobi. I also have a pc computer with Kaspersky and it blocks it.  How do I remove it or block it from my computer?  It only appears at my home, when I use my mac at other places I don't have a problem.
    Thanks for any help!

Thank you for the reply. I wanted to wait awhile in order to ensure that this corrected the issue. For a brief while, it did! However, it did not take long before the screen began once again hijacking my home button presses. This occurs even with Firefox removed from default applications ( triple-checked ).
This never happened before version 35.

  • Getting calls from blocked numbers

I have been receiving phone calls from a blocked number, is there any way to find out who it is? I know when someone blocks there number on a landline you can *69 and call the number back can you do that with a cell phone?

Hey there, barkar! Although it's been a while, I recall a period of time when I would get calls from blocked numbers. It can be very upsetting! I wish I could say that there's a way to see beyond those blocks, but the very purpose of the blocks is to protect the caller's privacy (even if that protection may come at the expense of the peace of mind of those being called). The best advice I can offer is to just not answer calls from individuals you either don't recognize or don't expect. Let them roll to voicemail. Must legitimate calls will leave you a message with their intentions stated.
And, if they become too much to handle, you do have the option to change your mobile number free of charge through My Verizon. Good luck to you!

    Thank you for your suggestion.
I tried it, but got the same result. I think the difference in the syntax is due to the Oracle versus SQL92 standard
conformance. Your statament is the Oracle version and mine is the SQL92. I think both statements are acceptable
    by the Oracle.
