Facing Difficulty while accessing Worksheet through RRMX Transaction

Hi,
I am able to access & run worksheet through analyzer which we access through Start--> All Programs > BEx> Analyzer.
But while accessing same worksheet through RRMX transaction I am not able to access it or if try to find it with description, system gives message 'No entry found'.
Please help me on this.

Make sure you have the latest patches for BEx installed. Also check whether in tcode RRMX_CUST you have the correct version set for BEx Analzyer.

Enable to select a check box in ALV while accessing it through portal

Hi All,
Currently I have given a link on portal to run a transaction code. The output of the program is ALV report, where user any select the check boxes.
Now when I try to select a check box, it is not getting selected. I click on the checkbox, the tick appear and then the screen refreshes itself and the tick goes off. This is happening only when accessing it through portal. If i run the program in R/3 directly, I am able to select the check box.
Please advice on this.

Facing Issues in accessing Portal through IP

Hello Experts,
When i access Portal site through Hostname of the server it works fine,but when through IP ,nothing show up in Content Area and Navigation Panel.also certain other misbehaviour of the application is shown. In SAP documents also wt i hv read is to accessPortal site through Hostname but nowhere read abt accessing it through IP.Can somebody plz clarify can't we access Portal through IP,is it standard recommendation for Portal to access it through Hostname? If we can access then y iam facing all these problems and how to resolve them?Someone plz suggest? My Email Id is [email protected] .

Hi Somya,
you should always request your portal by full qualified domain name (fqdn) which means:
http(s)://<servername>.<domain>(:port)/...
An example:
do not: http://myserver:50000/irj or http://127.0.0.1/irj, etc.
do: http://myserver.mydomain.com:50000/irj or
http://myserver.mydomain.com/irj
If you do not like suggested, you'll get problems:
- top levbel navigation may break after session time out using sso with os
- navigation (javascript issue) may not work properly
- SSO with other application (e.g. using BP's) does not work

Can iPhone be infected with a virus while accessing websites through a third party app?

Hi there all, while accessing a newly found video website via a third party app on my iPhone 5, a window suddenly appears saying "your iPhone has been infected by a virus" and then gave a link to click "to prevent further damage from happening." I chose to ignore the message since it's always been my understanding that iPhones are relatively impervious to viruses, however, since the pop up was now preventing me from doing anything else with the app, I just closed out the application entirely then rebooted the phone (just to be safe) and it's been working fine ever since. I suspect this pop up was a fear based ploy intended to scare me into clicking the link being provided. Am I correct, or is it actually possible for a virus to infect an iPhone just by going to an unscrupulous website without even downloading a file? I haven't opened or done anything with this third party app ever since. btw, my iPhone 5 is running iOS v8.1.2 and I've never had any issues with it in the past. If anybody can answer it would surely be appreciated, many thanks!

Several years ago, my oldest brother was stupid enough to let himself be duped into being a major participant in a personal situation having a direct impact upon me. Prior to the rift that developed which ultimately tore our relationship apart, I suggested we meet for lunch one day as all I was wanting was for him to be honest with me. Feeling guilty and hating all confrontation, he just had to get out of there, and so instead of answering my question he jumped up and shouted "YOU'RE ALWAYS DOING THAT TO ME!!" right in front of everyone at the restaurant. As a tension breaker I shouted right back, "didn't YOU ever learn the word ALWAYS should NEVER be said during an argument?" And so yes, you're right, I should have qualified my question more by saying "relatively impervious" instead. MY BAD!! I still want to say "THANKS" anyway for providing such a quick and accurate answer!

External Facing Portal with access to ITS via Transaction Iview

Hi Experts,
We have a requirement to make the portal available externally for third party vendors to access ECC transactions. We have configured a URL with a reverse proxy to the portal server. Portal loads fine from outside the network, but when launching a transaction I-view, a page cannot be displayed error comes up in IE-8 and Chrome says it cannot access the ECC server.
I've searched the forums and come up with a couple of tips, but that brings on a couple more questions.
It seems you can direct traffic from external URL to portal server:port, but when launching an transaction I-view, it needs to be redirected again to the ECC server:port/sap/bc/gui* (or something like that for SICF GUI service). Question here is, once this redirect happens, technically the ECC box is now available externally vs. only the portal? Is this recommended?
Other option I've found is to try and use IAC I-views instead. Is this really much different than a transaction i-view in how portal handles the opening Iframe? Does it allow backend connectios without rerouting internet traffic to the backend server?
Are they any other options to make this type of setup work for external facing portals using transaction iviews to access ITS?

Did you able to resolve the issue. We have installed Web Dispatcher through we are able to call the EP but when calling the transaction iViews page not found error pops up, since from EP server request to ECC goes via the URL http://<ecchost.domain>.:8000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?sap-client=100.

Facing difficulty while coping InterractiveForm element in WDJ

Hi Experts,
I have to create a WDJ screen. There will be one view. In this view, I have to create 25 InteractiveForm element. Each InteractiveForm element will have following information:
Name of Employee:
Design:
Date of Birth:
Address:
Company Logo:
There are 25 companies in the company group.
I want to create a template of one InteractiveForm element and paste it 25 times in the view. Using a RFC , I will find out the company code. Based on the company code, I will display the relevant screen(InteractiveForm element ) to the user.
I am facing following difficulty. I have created first InteractiveForm element . It is working fine. Now, I am copying it and pasting it in view. In the second form, I want to put the different company logo.
However system is not allowing me to do so. If I am putting any different logo, the logo of both InteractiveForm element changes. Not only this, if I am changing any text in one InteractiveForm element the other InteractiveForm element also changes.
This is very irritating. It seems that there is some link between two 2 Interactive elements.
I don't want to type the entries template 25 times. Why the system is changing the layout of all Interactive element when I am changing only one form. Why there is dependency?

Thanks. I changed the data source and PDF source. However it is not helping. I have realized that when we copy InteractiveForm element, the copied InteractiveForm element has same templateSource as the original templateSource. The form depends upon the templateSource.
I changed the templateSource manually. However, this is causing dump.

Performance Issue while access reports through Infoview.

Users run reports( Webi ,Crystal ) through Infoview u2013 Accessed by Categories , while navigating between categories( we have different categories : Sales, Purchasing..Etc ) in the Infoview is fine ,it takes time to show all the reports within the categories ,which takes around 3 u2013 5 mins , but run time of the each reports are quick and as expected.
In CMS , while navigating between categories and time taken to show all the reports within the categories are fine . couldnu2019t not understand why this is happening in infoview only.
Would like to know if any one have similar issues. Is there any settings needs to made on the tomcat server or CMS or Infoview. Searched for OSS notes and found a note : 1206095 but it is for Enterprise XI release2.

- Is Tomcat installed on the same server as BOE? If not, did you use wdeploy to deploy the WAR files? https://bosap-support.wdf.sap.corp/sap/support/notes/1325139
- Do you have more than one Tomcat server, and is it fronted by a load balancer. If it is, try bypassing the load balancer and access InfoView directly without going thru the load balancer.
There is a CMS command-line options that might help you improving performances in your environment.
That switch is named -maxobjectsincache which allows you to increase the maximum number of objects that the CMS stores in its memory cache. Increaseing the number of objects reduces the number of databases calls required and can improve CMS performance.
The default value for this option is 10000 and the maximum value is 100000. Please keep in mind it is not recommended to exceed 100,000 as too many objects in memory will result in the CMS degradation. I would suggest testing with 60,000.

Urgent: Issue while accessing MSS through portal

Hi All,
Recently HRSP 70 was applied to R/3 system. And after that we are getting scenario does not exist when clicked on MDT->Reporting->choose report e.g. Education->Select people -> and start report through portal.
And we got Scenario does not exist error.
We referred HRWPC_FC_EXEC error and applied following settings :
For service: sap/bc/gui/sap/its/hrwpc_fc_exec
1) Go to GUI Configuration and set the following parameter
    Parameter name: ~webgui_theme
    Value: sl
2) Then go to transaction SITSPMON -->Template and Mimes tab
    Invalidate template caches
After this what is happening is a bit wierd though a workaround is found.
Now when user clicks start report through portal he gets a popup for SAP inbox mentioning there are xx documents unread, if he clicks on ok he again gets "scenario does not exist" . However if he goes and reads all the documents in inbox and then again execute start report through portal he can see the desired output.
Now still if we just go to sicf transaction in R/3 and just right click on HRWPC_FC_EXEC and execute Test Service we still get Scenario does not exist
Also note we have reports iview with MSS1 scenario and viewgroup in Selection Criteria is a Z group
Where in R/3 side should these entries be maintained ?
Can anyone please suggest what would be the connection of unread documents here with scenario ? And where is scenario missing ? Kindly let me know if any other input is needed.

Yes we were able to resolve it, we added one more parameter "NO_LOGON_USEREXIT" with value "1" in GUI configuration of the service "HRWPC_FC_EXEC". This resolved our issue.

Facing Error while uplodaing BP through DTW

Actually i want to uncheck "TDS Overlook" and "Surcharge Overlook" of Accounting tab in BP master. When i try to uncheck both option through DTW i facing the following error "Value too long in property 'U_TDSOVRLK' OF BusinessPartner65171". In DTW i took only four fields those are "RecordKey","CardCode","U_TDSOVRLK","U_TDSSOVLK". Please help me in this issue.

You may need to run a simple query before DTW.
SELECT CardCode,U_TDSOVRLK,U_TDSSOVLK FROM OCRD T0 WHERE T0.CardCode = '[%0\]'
Those UDF values might not be what in your mind.

Strange Runtime error while accessing Bapis through WebDynpro

I have created FlightList WD appl, created a model and done all the required settings. Iam using BAPI_FLIGHT_GETLIST. I have deployed the appl successfully. Then I created the JCo connections for both WD_FLIGHT_MODELDATA_DEST and WD_FLIGHTMODEL_RFC_METADATA_DEST. selected Application for the first one and Dictionary type for the latter.
We have configured Single server connection.
I got this as error when testing my JCo connection for Dictionary type.

I think the problem lies with the SLD configuration. Check out whether you have configured SLD correctly.
The Logon group which you have given as PUBLIC should also be present in R/3. Check out that using
SMLG transaction. If PUBLIC is not there create the logon group there.

I am facing problem while accessing property value when i include a component inside another

Hi Everyone,
I am unable to access property value of richtext of a compoent that is included in another compoent.
I have created a compoentA at following location myProject/components/componentA.
I then created componentB at this location myProject/components/componentB
ComponentB contains a design_dialog that has a richtext widget with following properties:-

name=./description
titile=productdescription
I have then included componentB in componentA.jsp using <cq:include path="productdescription" resourceType="myProject/components/componentB" />.
I have then dropped componentA on a page. In design mode i could see the edit dialog for componentB and on edit I could see the rich text, but when i am trying to access the values entered in richtext inside componentB.jsp i am getting null/default value.

Can any one tell me why the property is not accessible on the included component.

Problems while accessing images outside the web document-root folder

Our application runs on Oracle application server on Linux. Facing problems while accessing images outside the web document-root folder. This works with changes in global-web-application.xml by including the <virtual-directory> tag. The same change does not work when done on Linux machine. It is unable to find the image. Please help in resolving this issue.

This is one of the least satisfactory aspects of site management in Dreamweaver, and several developers, including myself, have been pressuring the Dreamweaver team for some years to improve this. Who knows? They might eventually take notice.
The only way to do this at the moment is to create two site definitions, one nested inside the other. Set up the site definition normally based on htdocs as your site root. Then create a new site definition based on site. Dreamweaver will nag you that it can cause problems, but it won't actually stop you from doing it. The only potential problem is with site synchronization.
The problem with using site as the only basis for your site definition is that Dreamweaver automatically puts things like the Connections, Scripts, and other folders in the site root. So, everything ends up at the wrong level of the site hierarchy. Quite frankly, the whole thing is a bit of a pain. Dynamic site development was added to Dreamweaver only in version 6 (Dreamweaver MX), and no one had really thought through the need to store files outside the site root.

I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
2) Resend Service Books
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
3) Batt Pull Reboot
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support.

Portal Runtime Error while accessing BW reports through portal

We are facing portal runtime error(An exception occurred while processing your request. Please send the exception id to your portal administrator) while accessing BI reports through portal frequently.
We are unable to trace the error in the 'default trace' log file and although refreshing the cache solves this issue, it is difficult to explain this to every user individually.
After many such errors, We found one log entry, which we are now not yet sure if it is relevant. The error states:
