Facing issue using cache manifest for applications in iPad2

Hi,
I am facing issue while launching an application using cache manifest in ipad2, It needs a manually refresh to give the application in offline mode
while the same application coming fine when changing the user agent of any developer browser to iOS ipad,Please suggest me if some splecial attribute needs to be set to make it work.

Using command tab for application switcher no long cycles through all apps

Using command tab for application switcher use to work as it always has before Lion, and did in Lion for a few days. Now it stops at the last app. It always use to keep cycling through through all the apps. I figure I did something, but cannot figure out what. I have tried old tricks like force quitting dock using Activity Monitor, but that didnt work. Tried restarting, repairing permissions, and a new user account. I will great appreciate anyones help with this.

I was going to post my experience about application switcher as well, but i have the opposite problem: in SL it never worked, but now in Lion it does. Since I upgraded by installing over Lion, I'm assuming there must be a setting somewhere for this behavior. There is a place for setting keyboard keystrokes, looking there may help.

I'd like to use datastore cache just for some persistent objects. The
cache should be active just for some objects and disabled for some other
objects.
The only one way I found is the following: I defined the default cache
time-out to 0 millisecs and this value is overridden for a particular
class in the jdo metadata.
For example, these are the global properties:
     <config-property name="dataCache" value="true"/>
     <config-property name="dataCacheTimeout" value="0"/>
and this is the jdo metadata:
<extension vendor-name="kodo" key="data-cache-timeout" value="10000"/>
It works, but I don't like it. I'd like to turn off the cache in some way
for classes that doesn't need it. I tryed to create a custom cache in this
way:
<config-property name="dataCache" value="false, true(Name=myCache)"/>
or
<config-property name="dataCache" value="false(Name=default),
true(Name=myCache)"/>
but Kodo says that a cache named "default" must be configured and error is
raised.
What happens when the cache timeout is 0? If the cache is read every time

better not reading the cache at all...

Your best bet is to use the data-cache metadata extension in those
classes that you don't want cached:
<class name="MyVolatileClass">

If most of your classes should not be cached, you could also set the
default cache's size (and soft reference size) to zero. This will,
however, incur a small performance overhead.

Here seems to be that a plugin is not loaded : com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.infostore.internal.InfoObjects||Assertion failed: Java plugin for CommonConnection is not loaded.
could this affect the performance of Crystal Reports for Enterprise and how could I fix this ?

Thanks for your response. Please note, however, the transaction RAD1 does not exist. Let me provide more details about the current settings of the InfoObject.
The Characteristic is 'Item' (0CS_ITEM) and upon going to RSA1 > Modeling > InfoObjects > Item (0CS_ITEM) > Right Click > Display > Business Explorer (tab) > Text Type is set to 'Long Text' and BEx description is set to 'Long description' already.
When I run/execute the query with this Item characteristic, the results in BEx Analyzer is showing appropriate long text, however, Crystal Report for Enterprise shows short text only

Using Keychain Access for applications other than Safari

I am trying to decide what browser I want to use. There are several things to take into consideration - bookmarks kept in sync between the browers and passwords. So far I have stayed with Safari because it works with Keychain. I tried to open Keychain and add Firefox to a web form password but it doesnt appear to work. As for the bookmark issue, I downloaded "Bookdog" and it looks nice - the latest version is supposed to sync the bookmarks between the two browsers but I dont see a setting or option for that (emailed for support on that issue).
So, is there a way I can use Keychain for all of my browsers?

The following blueprint (http://www.sun.com/blueprints/0406/819-6320.pdf) describes what you want, but its not wise to put user-applications on well known ports. It wouldn't be the first time that an application crashes when a networkscanner is hammering on well known ports to find known problems. Also most of the time people are trying to bind there application on a well known port to bypass firewalls for example. So if you're going to do this, then please configure IPF for example to limit the amount of IPs that can access that port.

Is that a good practice to use synchronize method in a application scope class, so I have a doubt, there a is class A, it has application scope and it contains a synchronized method add, so because of some network traffic or any unexpected exception client1 got stuck in the method, will that add method available for any other client...?

If it needs synchronization, then it probably doesn't belong in the application scope. Either keep it as is, or reconsider the scope, or make it static.

There is currently no support in ODP.NET for SDO_GEOMETRY. I've not had an official response from any Oracle staff, but I've asked a few Oracle trainers and presenters and they all said that they didn't know of any plans to add this.
That said, you can call PL/SQL procs from .NET which you can use to manipulate/create geometries (as you suggested). What you can't do is read sdo_geometry data into a .NET datatype.
If you really need to get geometry data into .NET, you could try selecting the various sdo_geometry fields as separate columns and try and select them into varrays etc. and from there into .NET types. I've not tried this myself, but it should be possible.
e.g.
select
a.geom.gtype,
a.geom.srid,
a.geom.sdo_ordinates
from
some_table a;
Note: You have to alias the table name like this in order to select separate sdo_geometry fields. No idea why.
I've not tried using XML for this. I'd be interested to know if that works.

Can I use a camera for application in Labview and VBAI at the same time ?

I'm trying to save an AVI file with Labview and make an image process with VBAI at the same time, in one machine.
The error : "Camera already in use" displayed.
My Camera is a GIGE and I work with Imaqdx. I've test the multicast mode but it only operate with several machines.
How can I do this ?

I'm not necessarily saying that. It's been a while since I've used VBAI, so I don't remember all of the capabilities, but if VBAI can do the inspection and recording at the same time, you should be fine.
The trick is that only one program can access the camera at the same time. That application reserves the camera, thus making it unavailable to others.

Display Issues Using Time Series Function

I have created a time dimension (Total Time > Year > Quarter > Month) and created QTD, YTD, QTD_AGO, and YTD_AGO metrics. I join a materialized view with revenue metrics to property dimension and calendar dimension with grain of year-month.
When I build the following report A, all data is present for 20 markets:
A - Market (property dim) , Unit Count (property dim), QTD Revenue (fact)
When I build the following report B, all data is present for 20 markets:
B - Market (property dim) , Unit Count (property dim), QTD_AGO (fact)
When I build the following report C, I am missing unit count for 3 markets of the 20 markets:
C - Market (property dim) , Unit Count (property dim), QTD Revenue (fact), QTD_AGO (fact)
If I remove one of the markets that properly displays from report C, all unit counts appear. If I display just the 3 markets missing unit counts, their unit counts appear.
I have tried several redesign approaches, looked for data issues, cleared cache, waited for data to refresh, and I can’t get this to work. Would the materialized view cause any issues? ANY ideas/suggestions are MOST appreciated!
Note – OBI 10g on Oracle database

set the fact LTS content tab at proper dim levels.
and set the chronological ket at lowest level and other levels based on your req.

Can't use wildcard for cache manifest

Hi,
I am still trying to work with the cache manifest in firefox... Now I have a basic problem. I tryed to use wildcard "*" in the manifest and it only works after NETWORK but not after CACHE MANIFEST or CACHE. Here goes a simple version that is not working:

What I want is to cache every image that is shown in the page without having to explicitly declare it in the manifest, as it is showed dynamicaly acording to each user....

Facing Issue while Installing SOA server for setting up BPM11g working environment

Hi All,
I have been able to install Database and Weblogic Server but I am facing issue in installing SOA server.
I am trying to install it for running BPM 11g application.
I saw the same problem has already been answered but available solutions are not resolving my problem.
Error Message:Provide the JDK/JRE location while launching the installer.Invoke the setup.exe with -jreLoc<JDK/JRE location absolute path>parameter(s).
I tried both way for initializing the installation. i.e directly through setup.exe and by command prompt but in both the cases I am getting same error.
It is not asking for Java path in command prompt also.
a)In my system java 7 is installed.
b)I have used Oracle Database 11g instead of XE
Can this be the reason?
I checked Program Files:
jre7 and jdk1.7.0_45 are there.
I also have set JAVA_HOME in environment variable as C:\Program Files\java\jre7
path :C:\Program Files\java\jdk1.7.0_45\bin
Please help me in fixing this as I am stuck in this installation from last few days.

You might want to consider instead installing it using JDK 1.6.

It's buried in there, but bottom line is that Oracle BPM 11g (PS6) 11.1.1.7 needs JDK 1.6 (for Windows it is either JDK 1.6.0_35 or JRockit 6 Update 37 R28.2.5+) and I'd suggest you use JRockit.

Application Caching Manifest

I'm trying to implement caching on my BC site to enable it to be viewed offline.
I have done this with Apache2 by adding
AddType text/cache-manifest .manifest
to the <Directory> directive for an enabled site.
Then a manifest is created with what should be cached.
FInally, in the HTML for every page you want cached you indicate the page should be cached with:
<html class="html" manifest:"sytoolkit.appcache">
Then you can browse the site while offline.
I'm working with a team to create an web application for mobile. BC has been chosen as the back end platform because of its feature set and tight integration with Adobe Muse.
I had a live help session and I was told that this is not managable by the end user without extensive custom HTML and JS.
Has anyone else done this or something similar?

You wont be able to keep a persistant cache, I am guess trying to make an app without making an app or having net.
Put an iphone and try to use safari at all..
Load up the BC site, browse some pages then put in airaplane mode.
You will see, (unless the person turns off caching in their settings) the site will naturally show cached. But this of course will ONLY work if they have already visted those pages and no data interactions will work. And no Analtitcal data will work because the person is not actually doing any live interactions. There will be to many cases where this will fall over as well, even if you did the above Apache implementation.
