Facing printing issues in Adobe 8.0

Dear All,
Currently I'm testing our web application which contains the Adobe 8.0 and it uses third party file open plugin build id 802 to encrypt and download the Adobe pdf pages. After successful loading whenever I print any pdf using right click option from our web application,a new empty pdf window opens. Is there any options in adobe settings that we need to set in order to resolve this issues. But when we print the same pdf using the printer icon everything goes fine as expected.
Any new ideas are greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

  • Print issue with Adobe PDF reader print in IE9

We are unable to print Brava PDF documents with Adobe PDF reader activeX enabled in IE9. The same runs fine in Chrome with  Adobe PDF reader activeX enabled.
    I noticed Chrome uses
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader\AIR\nppdf32.dll, whereas IE9 uses-C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Acrobat\ActiveX\AcroPDF.dll.
    Has anyone faced this issue?

Can you print other pdf files from within IE9? Can you download the files and print them directly from Reader on you computer? Please list the steps you are using to print the pdf from IE9.

  • Printing issues with Adobe Reader

I am having a problem printing from my Adobe Reader 9.  When I print from a PDF the print is backwards.

I'm getting the same issue on some of the computers at my work.
We're all using Acrobat Standard 8.2.2 and Windows 7.
I'm not 100% whether the files have been created in In Design but they certainly look like they probably have.
Seems like Acrobat 8 (and various updates since) are not very compatible with Windows 7. I've been having plenty of headaches since we upgraded the operating systems 2 weeks ago.

  • PDF Printing issue through Adobe

When printing PDFs in landscape mode/duplexed open from top, the first page prints full size the remainder of the document prints 1/4 pages. Is this an adobe issue?  It has happened on numerous files.

What you are after is the Oracle XML Publisher Desktop.
    Goto :
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/publishing/index.html
and download Oracle XML Publisher Desktop 5.6.2 for Microsoft Windows. It is 100Mb.
It adds some buttons to MS Word.

  • Print issue with Adobe Reader X

okay, so my problem is this:
when i print this specific document to this printer (HP Color LaserJet CP3525 PS), it will print the banner in the correct purple color.
however, when another fellow employee trys to print it to the SAME printer, with the same settings, it comes out almost a navy blue/indigo color.
i think this may be where the issue is: this is a screenshot of MY print properties under the color tab. the option for "CMYK Color" is not available under his print properties color tab. he has the latest/greatest, just updated it an hour or so ago to make sure that the update was not the issue.
why is this not showing up on his? is there some sort of add-on needed? does something else need to be upgraded?

A non admin will not be able to update Adobe Reader when the UAC turned OFF. This is the intended behavior with the Updater service for Adobe Acrobat/Reader.
Please see the following document for more details: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/837/cpsid_83709/attachments/Acrobat_Reader_Updater.pdf

  • Print issue with Adobe X.

I print PDF single images fine.  However, when I want to print multiple images per sheet I get three Adobe Messages.  (1) The document could not be printed. (2) There were no pages selected to print. (3) A drawing error occurred.  Each of these messages come up each time.
Does anyone know how to fix this issue?  Thanks.

This would be a printer driver setting, not InDesign.

  • Printer Issue in Adobe Reader XI

A user in my organization is using Adobe Reader XI on a computer with mutiple network printers mapped to it. In Adobe Reader XI when she goes to print it is listing the correct printer as default but when she actually prints it is sending to a different network printer. No other program is doing this and all other print jobs are sending to the correct printer. Any suggestions on possible reasons this would be happening?

This is definitely a set up issue and User might have unintentionally assigned the port belonging to someother printer to this printer on his machine.
This is a setup issue and completely unrelated to Adobe reader. You may infact verify from some other non-Adobe Applications.

Another thing to consider when using Acrobat 7.x is that Adobe has announced Acrobat 7.x support ends December 2010.

  • Printing Issue with Adobe Reader 11.0.01 with collate/stapling

    Hello,
If I send a Word document to the copier with instruction to make 6 copies, collate and staple it works fine. If I send a PDF document with the same instructions it prints all the copies out and staples them all together.
I have reinstalled Adobe Reader and my printer driver.  I run on Windows XP Pro SP3 (fully patched) and using a Xerox 7435 printer.

Can you open Reader by itself?  If so, try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].

  • Bug #2421120 - printing issues in Adobe Reader 9.1.3

    Dear Adobe Support,
If possible I would like to know which Adobe Reader versions apart from 9.1.3 are affected by:
Bug # 2421120: When printing from Reader 9.1.3, the output is occasionally
garbled or blocks of text have characters replaced by their subsequent letter; for example, S becomes T, etc.
Thank you for your help in advance.
    Brgds,
    Dominik

This is not a channel to official Adobe support. I cannot find the bug by the number you gave in the Adobe help system.

I am unable to print from Adobe Acrobat, getting an error message "Stopped - Unable to Convert Postscript File".  Any suggestions? The updates claim to be current for Adobe and my Canon Laser, and I can print screens, screenshots, etc.

  • Printing issue in Adobe Reader

Customer supplied blueprint in greyscale. When I print it out, it is too light to read the dimensions. When I adjust the printer to the darkest setting, the dimensions become choppy. Would like to convert the greyscale so I can print a regular black and white blueprint. It is a .pdf file. Can I adjust with the basic reader? Can I convert from the greyscale to normal somehow? Any help would be appreciated...thanks bill

Unfortunately with Reader, you are stuck with what you have.
More than likely, the adjustments would have to be made at the time the PDF is created or in the original document.

  • Issues with Adobe Professional 9

    Hi
We are facing some issues with Adobe Professional 9,
The problems are as follows while converting the DOC file to PDF using Adobe Proff 9.
    1) Bullets are missing
    2) Crossreferences are not working
    3) adding junk characters in header.
Can you please help me on this.
We need to understand the issue.
    Manohar S S

Just some stray thoughts on the topic:
Use Adobe PDFMaker to create the PDF from the MS Word file.
When a MS Word cross-reference is inserted, ensure that "Insert as hyperlink" is ticked in the Cross-reference dialog.
In the configuration of Adobe PDFMaker's Preferences, ensure "Add Links" is ticked (under the Settings tab).
Ensure that the installed Acrobat (and associated Adobe PDFMaker) is working with a compatible version of Office.
    See: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/333/333504.html
For all characters used in the source MS Word file; ensure that the characters used provide proper mapping to Unicode.
Do not use characters that rely upon a restricted character value.
When using Word Headings/Styles that incorporate the bullet character, ensure you work from those that are "built-in" to MS Word.
If you are working out of Windows 7 / Office 2010 you need to move up to Acrobat X.
    Be well...

  • Adobe Reader Update causes weird printing issues

I recently updated my Adobe Reader to Adobe Reader X. I have a Toshiba with Windows 7 68-bit I believe. After updating to Reader X, I noticed that when I go to print a document, the print settings in Adobe are default set to Print on both sides. I was only printing 1 page so I ignored this and just hit Print, but what happened was really bizarre. The printer printed a blank 2nd page, and then Adobe prompted me to reset my even-numbered pages in the printer to proceed with double-sided printing. If I uncheck the Print on both sides option, I have no problems, everything prints fine. I understand there's already attention called to the bug in the update that defaults the print settings to Print on both sides and has trouble saving new settings. I don't care about that. This is what bothers me: Adobe and the computer and the printer and whatever else is involved should be able to communicate properly that if only 1 page is being printed, it need not print a 2nd blank page and basically force me through the double-sided print process if there's only 1 page, right? Isn't that sort of common sense? I don't mind having to uncheck the Print on both sides option when I go to print just 1 page, but it seems ridiculous to me that I should have to.
Just so you know, I installed the same Adobe Reader X update on a much older computer with a much older printer and had the same problem.
I am wondering if this is an Adobe problem or a printer problem. Neither of the 2 printers I tried this on do doulbe-sided printing automatically. They both require manual help to print on both sides. Will printers that automatically do double-sided printing also send the page through twice even if there is no 2nd page? Then this probably wouldn't be such an issue, if the printer did the double-sided printing itself, I wouldn't care if it passed the paper through twice.
But given that not all printers are equipped with automatic double-sided printing, this then becomes a real pain if I forget to uncheck the Print on both sides button because I then have to go through this entire 2-page process for 1 page. And my printer is in a common area, not right next to my computer, so it adds a lot of back and forth trying to print just 1 page.
Also I read up on previous posts about the default Print on both sides setting, and read one employee's comment that Adobe simply retains the last default setting used for printing PDFs. This is not true. Since my printer at home does not do automatic double-sided printing, I never ever ever use any double-sided printing setting. Even when I do print on both sides, I print odd pages first, flip them over and reset them in the printer, then send a second separate job to print even pages. Same with my work printer. I understand that by defaulting to the double-sided print setting, Adobe is sort of tricking you into saving paper and that's great and all, but all printers don't do double-sided printing automatically. I ended up wasting double the amount of paper last night trying to print a document last night while figuring this out, so way to go.

    Dear user,
We would request you to check your version from Help-> 'About Adobe Reader X' because we doubt that you are using an outdated version of Reader. Please update it to 10.1.3 because it was a known issue in 10.1.2 which got fixed by 10.1.3.
I would also request you to check your printer side setting from Control Panel-> Devices and Printers-> Right click Printer-> Printing Preferences-> Search for 'Print on both side or duplex printing' option (generally its under 'Finishing' tab)-> Uncheck it there if you are not using it.
Hope this will resolve your problem. Let us know the result.
    Thanks

  • Adobe Reader Version 8.2.6 printing issues

First a quick overview of our setup:
    Workstation are Windows xp pro
We use a central Printer/copier with multiple paper trays with multiple paper sizes loaded
The default on the printer is set to 8.5x11, monochrome, portrait.
(note: Ignore page size beign displayed in the preview area as this is not the page size in question)
When I select print on my PDF I get a print screen with several options (see above)
The 2 sections in question are the Page handling area and the Preview Composite are, as the issue I am having is when I have a PDF that needs to be printed on a large page (say 11x18 or some other large area
When I select Auto Rotate and center option as well as Choose paper source by PDF page size the default printer options appear to take over instead of the settings set by the print screen within Adobe.  The preview composite area shows its going to print one way...but when it actually prints it comes out totally different.   If I go into my printer settings (via the properties tab above) and change the settings to print according to the way I want it prints fine....untill the next PDF I open, then everything defaults back and the pdf does not print right.
SO to recap:  The print settings I set within Adobe do not appear to do anything as the default printer settings of the printer appear to be doing what they want instead of what the software is telling it to do.
    ANy ideas?
    Thanks

You must have left some reference to drive F. Commonly, this is a MY
PICTURES folder or something like that. If you have a USB key and can
use it to provide an F drive that may get you over the error, or get a
message to a particular folder on F.
