Facing problem in installing WebLogic 10.3.1 server

Hi,
I want to install WebLogic Server 10.3.1, To install this I am using Oracle WebLogic Server 11g Rel 1 (10.3.1) Net Installer setup.
After running the setup, it is asking “to specify the location where the installer will place any downloaded archives”
I have specified the location for storage Directory, but after clicking next button its giving me an error as: “Failed to contact server”.
In the WebLogic Server 9.2 installation, it is not asking for this Storage location..directly the wizard will ask for the type of installation i.e whether ‘Complete’ or ‘Custom’ installation.
Can anyone tell me How to skip this step I don’t want to download the archive files or how to resolve this error.

Your question should have been posted in the weblogic server forum not to the weblogic portal one.
The net installer is a small initial download, which then connects to oracle servers to download the further required files when you do the actual selection of components and install it.
Instead of downloading the net installer, if you download the complete software then you will get the behaviour similar to your earlier installation experience with 9.2.

I was trying to understand the code that it creates. I won't be able get the code also.
I would like to go from other way apart from B1DE.

Installing Weblogic 12c on windows server 2008

Trouble installing Weblogic 12 on windows server 2008 ,i have oracle 11g databse in the same system.Now i am trying to install Oracle Weblogic 12 ,but WLS requires JDK 1.6 as a minimum ,after i install the Oracle11g database it automatically installed the Jdk 1.5 ..now how can i go about and install Weblogic 12 .

install JDK 6 or 7. Load the environment variables from CMD.EXE
set JAVA_HOME = RUTA_DEL_JDK_6_OR_7
set PATH =%JAVA_HOME%\BIN;% PATH%
Then, from the same terminal (cmd.exe) run the weblogic runInstaller.exe 12c.

Facing problem in installing BPEL Process Manager in hp-ux box

I have downloaded 'as_hpux_parisc_bpel_101202.cpio' installer for Oracle BPEL for HP-UX machine. We are trying to install it and facing problem in extracting from cpio file. Have anyone tried this installer in HP-UX. The problem trace is as below
# cpio -idcmv </bpelinstaller/as_hpux_parisc_bpel_101202.cpio
Out of phase--get help
Perhaps the "-c" option shouldn't be used

strange thing: today I tried to install Oracle BPEL PM for JBoss and everything went fine. What a miracle! The only problem is: I can use this for evaluation purpose but we won't be able to take Oracle BPEL PM in production later on because we need to use Bea Weblogic. Anyway... perhaps the Weblogic problem can be solved the next months or we find another nice BPEL engine.

Problem in Installing Weblogic Portal 10.2

Hi!
Can any one help me with my problem in installing Oracle Weblogic Portal 10.2 in Solaris 10. When I tried to run the installer solarisportal102.bin it will say invalid arguments? I already set the chmod +x. We even tried to unzip the bin file and run the jar installer but the problem is there is a fatal error.
Is there any other patch that I need to apply in Solaris 10? Badly needed to have it installed, any help is higly appreciated.

I am facing problem while addon installation
Steps that i follow
1. Develop Custom Application in VB.Net.
2. Created Setup Wizard.
3. Create ARD File.
4. I start the SAP B1 - Administrator - Add On Administration.
When I specify this ard file it is trying to install the add-on. after few second it flashes the mession that it could not file myaddon.msi file in temp folder of windows. After this when i close that dialog box. it contiune with installation (may be in silent mode). it takes near about 1/2 an hour and after completing this setup it shows error of installation failed.
I don't why it is happening. Any solution for it.

Problem while installing weblogic

can I install weblogic on a stand alone pc which does not have any lan connection or internet connections ?

Ahhh...now i get it. There are 2 options for downloading weblogic 1)WebLogic Platform Net Installer 2) WebLogic Server Package Installer. I guess u downloaded the first option what it does is that, it downloads the files from the BEA server and then installs the WLS on ur computer. You can just tell the difference between these two options in the file size. Use the package installer option and download the file and then install it. I hope i am clear. Refer to the following below site and you will know what i am talking about.

I have Problem when installing ADF Runime for Application Server

Hi All,
I have Application Server 10.1.2.0.2 and Jdeveloper 10.1.3.2
I followed the next steps
1 - in Application Server I created OC4J instance named app1
2- I Stoped all infrastucure and middle-tier of Application Server
3- in Jdeveloper I installed ADF Runime for Application Server
by the next steps :-
Application server home directory : OraHome_2
oc4j instane name : app1
and I selected: install a new version of ADF Runtime 10.1.3.40.66
after that I got a jdeveloper sussceeful install ADF Runtime message
5- when entering this command below to start Application server
it gives me an error message

If it prompts you for a password then that's your issue...

Problem while installing Weblogic Server 10.3.2

Hi,
I have downloaded wls1032_generic.jar & trying to install at windows XP environment by using below command
java -jar wls1032_generic.jar
After few steps it asks for JDK version & I have provided the JDK1.6 version path & then clicked Next button, it is saying Fatal Error after that teriminating the installation.
Can any one suggest is it the problem bz of wls1032_generic.jar as I am able to install wls1031_generic.jar properly

Seems that you downloaded a wrong Installer: Please search for "*wls1032_generic.jar* " word in the following link:

Few Lines from above Link:
Locate the appropriate executable file for your system, such as:
wls1032_linux32.bin for 32-bit Linux systems
wls1032_win32.exe for 32-bit Windows systems

Are you sure you are using 64-Bit operating System...

Problem in installing weblogic in windows2003

HI
I am not able to install weblogic8.1 in windows 2003 operating system. when i try to install the weblogic by net_platform813_win32.exe it starts the installation after first window it automatically exit the installation.
Anybody have idea what may be the problem

Hm, I'm pretty sure I've run WLS on dual AMD Athlon MPs without a problem. Were you using the JRockit JVM? If so, try using a different JVM, like Sun's. I know the WLS supported configurations page specifically mentions "Pentium", but many times an AMD CPU will be a better "Pentium" than a true Pentium ;-).
Edit: Whoops! Didn't catch that the problem was during installation. Still seems strange since I could swear I've run on AMD before. If I get a chance I'll try an install...

there are other posts on this but try an install of the gnome-libs package on the server. It is possible to install a more recent version than 1.4.1.2.90-34.1.i386.
